1. Cinammon Roll – 3/1 – bet365
Scored comfortably in a bumper on this course after an impressive point-to-point win. Now stepping up in trip, he’s got strong credentials to make a winning switch to hurdling.
2. Full Confession – 9/4 – Betvictor
Got off the mark with authority under rules but failed to impress when switched to the all-weather. A return to hurdles might see him bounce back, particularly with the longer trip likely in his favour.
3. Jackson Lamb – 25/1 – Unibet
Tasted success in a bumper here before a solid run at Bellewstown. His jumping left a bit to be desired on hurdles debut, and he’ll need to clean that up to contend.
4. Drop The Dip – 250/1 – bet365
Has form on the Flat but hasn’t transferred that to the jumps scene. Looks well out of his depth on what he’s shown in this code so far.
5. Hickeys Hill – 25/1 – Betvictor
Won a point previously, but his only race under rules left a lot to be desired. Might be seen in better light after more experience or further down the line.
6. Keep Kool Coko – 11/4 – bet365
Has been knocking on the door, placing in several maiden hurdles. Ran a solid third last time but lacks the spark of some newer faces in the field.
7. Maroto – 20/1 – Unibet
Had some fair form under Willie Mullins but has yet to click with his new yard. Still appears off the pace based on recent efforts.
8. Mavetherave – 12/1 – Betvictor
Steadily improving and came home with purpose for third in latest outing. Could progress further if the stamina test works in his favour.
9. Never Present – 100/1 – bet365
Has failed to land any sort of blow across all starts under rules. It would be a major surprise to see him make the frame today.
10. The Goose’s Acre – 12/1 – Unibet
Put in a fair shift in a couple of recent appearances, but still doesn’t inspire full confidence. Could run into a minor placing if others underperform.
11. Whiskey On Ice – 11/1 – Betvictor
Slowly shaping into a more rounded hurdler, and his recent fourth was a step in the right direction. A longer distance might play to his strengths.
12. Tinker Hill – 40/1 – bet365
Difficult to gauge with only one modest run to date. Doesn’t hold much appeal until showing significant improvement.
13. Niamhie – 250/1 – Betvictor
Struggled badly in every start to date. Hard to find a scenario where she gets involved in this lineup.
14. Sugar Cookie – 5/1 – bet365
Caught the eye when finishing second last time out. That was a nice step forward and she looks like a player if building on that momentum.
15. Imperial Miss – 100/1 – Unibet
Unseated early on her hurdles bow and hasn’t shone on the level either. Others have shown more and are preferred here.
Verdict
Cinammon Roll brings strong dual-code credentials and looks primed to handle this longer test with ease. Keep Kool Coko remains a reliable yardstick but might find one or two with greater upside. Sugar Cookie is heading in the right direction and deserves serious attention, especially off her latest effort.

🟩 Son Of Hypnos – 8/1 – bet365
Despite a patchy profile, this course and distance winner knows how to handle the undulations of Downpatrick. James Smith takes a useful 5lb off, and a return to peak form could see him surprise a few.
🟦 Roaring Potter – 10/1 – Betvictor
Lightly raced for his age and last seen winning two starts back. Mike O’Connor is booked again, and if he can build on past success, this one could easily finish in the frame.
🟩 Goodie Girl – 8/1 – bet365
Cromwell’s mare has won over this trip but failed to complete more than once last season. Patrick M O’Brien’s 7lb claim is valuable and may help her bounce back.
🟦 Rockview Consort – 11/2 – BetMGM
John McConnell’s mare shaped with promise on return from a long absence. With race fitness now on her side and Dylan Kidd claiming, she can definitely get closer.
🟩 Arcland – 10/3 – bet365
Represents the in-form Gavin Cromwell yard and posted solid efforts last season in big handicaps. Keith Donoghue rides, and this looks like the ideal spot to notch another win if he stays out of trouble.
🟦 Depalma – 5/1 – Betvictor
C A Murphy’s charge produced a string of decent efforts before tailing off late in 2024. Brian Hayes climbs aboard and if he rediscovers his spark, he’s a strong contender.
🟩 Wrecking Ball Paul – 20/1 – bet365
This gelding has been out of sorts but drops in the weights and trips back to a preferred distance. Ben Harvey gets the leg up, and a resurgence isn’t impossible on this tighter track.
🟦 Splendid Choice – 7/2 – BetMGM
P J Rothwell’s runner returned from a layoff with a gritty win and may still have more to give. Tiernan Power Roche’s 5lb claim keeps him well treated, and he’s respected on his recent success.
🟩 Peckham Springs – 33/1 – bet365
Hard to support on recent form, though he’s had success at the venue previously. P J O’Hanlon is booked, but only a return to earlier form will bring him into contention.
🟦 Demanding Gerry – 14/1 – Betvictor
James Andrew Fahey’s gelding has been struggling to make an impression of late, but Phillip Enright is a positive jockey booking. On a fair mark if able to put things together.
Verdict
Arcland looks poised to strike for the Cromwell/Donoghue team and has been running in stronger company. Splendid Choice enters with momentum after a recent win and looks a big threat if handling the rise in weights. Rockview Consort may represent each-way value, particularly if she steps forward from her seasonal debut.

🟩 Sights Unseen – 7/4 – bet365
This consistent six-year-old rarely runs a poor race and brings strong place credentials to the table. With Alix Balfe claiming 7lb and Gavin Cromwell in his corner, another bold effort is likely.
🟦 Mazza’s Mahler – 9/1 – Betvictor
A veteran at this level who’s run well in similar handicaps. Peter Smithers claims a valuable 7lb and the longer trip should suit, making him a lively outsider if the pace plays out right.
🟩 Truly Elegant – 13/2 – bet365
Gerard Keane’s mare has been sliding down the handicap but now finds herself on a workable mark. Kevin Sexton takes over and this could be the day she outruns her odds.
🟦 True Destiny – 11/4 – BetMGM
Noel C Kelly’s ten-year-old stays all day and was a solid fourth on return. Gavin Brouder claims 3lb and this extended trip plays to his strengths. Definite contender if building on recent form.
🟩 Robindevidastar – 12/1 – bet365
Course experience is always handy at Downpatrick, and this gelding has some past credit here. Dylan Robinson will need to time his move just right, but he’s not without a shout if the blinkers do their job.
🟦 Every River – 25/1 – Betvictor
Returned from a lengthy absence without showing much, but could strip fitter now. Niall Moore claims 5lb, and if he stays the trip, minor money isn’t out of the question.
🟩 Sir Carnegie – 7/1 – bet365
Fell when going well last time and deserves another shot based on previous efforts. Adam Leahy’s 7lb claim gets him well in and Hanlon’s team often place their runners smartly at this venue.
🟦 Dylan’s Chance – 25/1 – BetMGM
Off form for some time now, but the ability is there from earlier runs. If Richard Deegan can settle him into a rhythm, a better effort isn’t impossible, though others are more solid.
🟩 Tiny Angel – 20/1 – bet365
Out of sorts last year but Ben Harvey takes the reins this time. Noel Kelly’s mare would need to find a big chunk of improvement, but the booking is an interesting angle.
Verdict
Sights Unseen has been knocking on the door and deserves to land one, especially with a strong claimer on board. True Destiny brings proven stamina and should go close under Brouder. Sir Carnegie is a danger to all if his jumping holds up, and is a fair each-way option.

🟩 Aussie Warrior – 7/1 – bet365
Returning from a mixed hurdle campaign, this six-year-old has shown glimpses of promise but must prove his aptitude for fences. Phillip Enright is booked again, and a bold front-running ride might make him hard to peg back if he jumps cleanly.
🟦 Coffeys Forge – 5/1 – Betvictor
Showed enough over timber to suggest there’s more to come in this sphere. The switch to chasing could suit Gordon Elliott’s nine-year-old, especially with Danny Gilligan’s claim in play. He shouldn’t be far away with a fluent round.
🟩 Darkened – 4/1 – bet365
A consistent sort who was knocking on the door late last season. Ben Harvey is an eye-catching booking and connections will hope this experienced hurdler finally gets his chasing breakthrough.
🟦 Royal Reprobate – 5/1 – BetMGM
Still relatively unexposed and shaped with minor encouragement when last seen. Tom Harney takes off 7lb which helps his cause, and he could spring a surprise if improving his fencing.
🟩 Younowhatimean – 13/2 – bet365
Wasn’t disgraced in tougher company and returns to a more realistic level here. Richard Deegan’s experience will help guide him over fences, and he may outrun his odds with a steady rhythm up front.
🟦 Gina Moon – 13/2 – Betvictor
Lightly raced and with room to improve now sent chasing. Sam Ewing takes the reins for Gordon Elliott, and while more is needed on paper, she might surprise if the yard has done the homework at home.
🟩 Speranza Wilde – 25/1 – bet365
Has yet to trouble the judge in limited outings and would need to find plenty to figure. Mike O’Connor’s claim helps, but only a major turnaround will see her feature in the finish.
🟦 Tankardstown Diva – 9/4 – BetMGM
Showed strong early pace last time before fading late over a longer trip. Back down in distance and with Keith Donoghue in the saddle, this could be her chance to make all and hold on.
Verdict
With few standout chase performances among this field, Tankardstown Diva stands out as the most likely to take advantage of a weak race. She shaped well here recently and should relish the return to this shorter distance. Darkened continues to post consistent efforts and may finally go one better. Royal Reprobate offers an intriguing angle as a lightly-raced sort who could improve for fences.

🟩 Chiefs Kingdom – 2/1 – bet365
Paul Nolan’s charge returns to this discipline with a strong pointing background and some respectable placed form in similar company. Mr J W Hendrick claims 7lb and knows the horse well. Clear player if he jumps fluently.
🟦 Grageen – 6/1 – Betvictor
Although he hasn’t yet found the winner’s enclosure, this nine-year-old has run with credit on several occasions. With Mr P A King in the irons, a first success under rules isn’t out of the question if the race turns tactical.
🟩 King In The Park – 4/1 – bet365
Unseated last time when looking to follow up a point-to-point victory, and remains a lively candidate. Barry O’Neill adds experience and his presence alone boosts the horse’s profile. Could be involved with a clean round.
🟦 Mellow Glory – 33/1 – BetMGM
Peter Maher’s gelding has looked one-paced under rules and has not progressed since decent form in points. Mr F P Murphy takes off 7lb but others arrive with far stronger claims.
🟩 Squire Ohara – 15/8 – bet365
A.J. Martin’s runner has finished in the top two on six consecutive occasions between points and hunters. Mr B M Coonan remains in the saddle and his consistency must be respected—leading chance if he settles well.
🟦 Western Wishes – 20/1 – BetMGM
Solid placed form at a lower level but may find this stiffer test more demanding. Mr D J Hanlon’s booking adds intrigue, though this seven-year-old may need to improve on previous efforts to get seriously involved.
🟩 Yewtree Hill – 14/1 – Unibet
Lightly raced and with fair form in the pointing field. Can improve now switched back to this level but needs to produce his best to outgun more experienced rivals. Mr S R Hamilton does the steering.
Verdict
Squire Ohara brings the most consistent profile into this race and has been knocking at the door in hunters and pointing company. Chiefs Kingdom is a major threat on past form and should relish the test of stamina. King In The Park has the scope to bounce back and is worth considering for each-way purposes in a race that lacks depth beyond the market principals.

🔹 Vina Ardanza – 11/4 – bet365
Solid performer at this level and ran creditably in tougher company last season. Mr B O’Neill is an eye-catching booking. Well-handicapped and a huge player over this marathon distance.
🔸 Gorthill – 9/2 – Betvictor
Reliable in most recent starts and knows this course well. Conditions should suit and Mr N McParlan brings experience to the saddle. Might not be flashy but could grind his way into the frame.
🔹 Eyes Off Annie – 11/2 – bet365
Lightly raced but unbeaten in one hunter chase and was only touched off in a pointing event. Stays well and her profile suggests more to come.
🔸 Ontheropes – 5/1 – BetMGM
Has mixed it at much higher levels, including graded company. Recent efforts have lacked sparkle but this represents a big drop in class. If anywhere near his best, he’ll be dangerous.
🔹 Asphalt Cowboy – 13/2 – bet365
Multiple wins last term in similar conditions but flopped on his last outing. Has ability if back to form. Mr M N Sharpe claims 7lb which helps his cause.
🔸 Macgiloney – 10/1 – Betvictor
This old campaigner has mixed form but has the class to contend if the race becomes a test of grit. Consistency isn’t his strong suit, but the engine remains.
🔹 Champagne Court – 12/1 – Unibet
Has placed form in respectable company and ran with credit in competitive races last season. May lack the spark to win this outright, but not without a place chance if things fall right.
🔸 Grange Soldier – 16/1 – BetMGM
Has shown glimpses of ability but hasn’t always backed it up. Needs to improve significantly to figure at this level, though stranger things have happened over this kind of trip.
Verdict
Vina Ardanza stands out as the most compelling candidate given his consistency, proven stamina, and solid recent form. Eyes Off Annie could have the most upside and remains unexposed in this discipline, while Ontheropes, if revitalised, brings a touch of class that could put him firmly in contention.

1. Better Times – Best Odds: 11/4 – Betvictor
This five-year-old has shown glimpses of ability, notably when finishing second at Punchestown. Although he didn’t sparkle last time, this shorter trip may be more suitable.
2. Chosen Leader – Best Odds: 66/1 – Bet365
Struggled badly in all recent attempts and has failed to complete multiple times. Has a mountain to climb to get involved here.
3. Cinammon Roll – Best Odds: 3/1 – BetMGM
Kicked off with a debut win in points and then found things tough under rules at Punchestown. Steps back into calmer waters, and could bounce back.
4. Coded Welder – Best Odds: 14/1 – Bet365
Was a faller when running well at Fairyhouse previously. Plenty of scope if keeping upright, but comes with a clear risk.
5. Found Beau – Best Odds: 10/1 – Unibet
Consistent in points and showed enough when second at Dromahane to suggest he can go close. Big player if reproducing that.
6. Glenary – Best Odds: 33/1 – BetMGM
Failed to finish either run and remains something of an unknown quantity. Needs to find huge improvement to get competitive.
7. Coolboy Christy – Best Odds: 16/1 – Betvictor
Showed a bit more at Tyrella when fourth, but this is a step up. Hard to be confident given previous efforts.
8. Land The Plane – Best Odds: 20/1 – Bet365
Twice raced and has yet to hit the frame, though not disgraced. Improvement needed, but wouldn’t be a complete shock to sneak into the places.
9. Moody Girl – Best Odds: 8/1 – Unibet
Made a promising start when third and backed that up with a fair fifth. Brings decent credentials and shouldn’t be underestimated.
10. Noble Name – Best Odds: 5/2 – Betvictor
Point-to-point winner who backed it up with a solid third under rules. Likely to be heavily involved, with experience and consistency in his favour.
Verdict
Noble Name looks like a reliable contender based on what he’s shown so far and deserves top billing. Better Times could bounce back over this distance, while Moody Girl is one to watch if she builds on her opening runs.
