1. Tearaway Two (5/1) – Unibet

  • With Silvestre De Sousa on board, Tearaway Two showed significant improvement when finishing third at Lingfield last time and could build on that performance despite the change in ground conditions.

2. Hackney Diamonds (4/1) – bet365

  • Billy Loughnane rides for Brian Meehan. Hackney Diamonds ran a strong race to finish close third at Nottingham, and the step up in distance should suit him well based on pedigree.

3. Coverbridge (10/3) – Betvictor

  • Rowan Scott partners with Phillip Makin for Coverbridge. After winning an AW maiden on his second start, he remains unexposed and could have more to offer.

4. Enchanted Eye (5/1) – Unibet

  • Charles Bishop rides for Eve Johnson Houghton. Enchanted Eye has shown promise in all three starts, finishing a respectable fourth at Nottingham last time and can’t be discounted.

5. Patrol (3/1) – bet365

  • Tom Marquand rides for William Haggas. Patrol finished third behind a good prospect at Wolverhampton, and this consistent form makes him a serious contender.

6. Bebside (8/1) – Betvictor

  • David Allan teams up with Tim Easterby for Bebside. He was just over a length behind Coverbridge at Newcastle and is 3lb better off today. Blinkers could help him find that little extra.

Verdict

Hackney Diamonds is our pick, expected to benefit from the longer distance. Patrol and Coverbridge also have solid claims and should not be overlooked.

1. Graze On Phoenix (33/1) – Betvictor

  • Ran a decent race on his debut but couldn’t replicate that form next time out. He may find handicaps more suitable in the future.

2. HK Fourteen (150/1) – Unibet

  • Has shown little in two starts at long odds. Improvement needed to make an impact here.

3. Ombudsman (4/7) – bet365

  • Left a lasting impression with a winning debut at Newmarket. The form of that race has been strong, making him the one to beat today.

4. Candyman Stan (12/1) – Unibet

  • This gelding is making his debut and the market will provide clues about his chances.

5. Catalan King (40/1) – Betvictor

  • Has finished out of the placings in two starts over 1m4f. Handicaps are likely to be more his scene.

6. Clockmaker (9/1) – bet365

  • Showed promise on his debut at Newbury but was disappointing next time out. He has potential if he can bounce back to his debut form.

7. Far Lane (16/1) – Unibet

  • Unplaced in his first two starts and may find handicaps more to his liking.

8. Mr Nugget (50/1) – Betvictor

  • Finished last in his debut at Doncaster over 1m4f. Needs significant improvement to feature here.

9. Oosterpark (20/1) – bet365

  • Improved on his second start at Doncaster but still needs to find more. The addition of a hood might help.

10. Thomas G (50/1) – Betvictor

  • Showed some improvement on his second run but was still well behind the winner. Needs to step up again.

11. Winston’s Tipple (6/1) – Unibet

  • Third on his Wolverhampton debut last October and has been gelded since. Likely to progress and one to watch.

12. Altanera (14/1) – bet365

  • Faces a tough task on debut but has an interesting pedigree. Worth monitoring in the market.

13. Little Miss India (66/1) – Unibet

  • Well beaten in both starts last month. Could show more in handicaps later on.

14. Xander Nevett (150/1) – Betvictor

  • Comes from a stable not known for winning newcomers. Faces a challenging debut.

Verdict

Ombudsman is hard to oppose after his impressive Newmarket debut. Winston’s Tipple and Clockmaker also have the potential to challenge if they improve on their previous performances.

1. Lincoln Rockstar (5/2) – bet365

  • This runner has a solid record since joining Ivan Furtado, winning twice in four starts with a tongue-tie applied. Versatile on any ground, he looks set to make another strong showing.

2. All Blues (33/1) – Unibet

  • Despite some early promise in Ireland as a 2yo, All Blues has struggled recently and would need a significant turnaround to be competitive here.

3. Angelica K (17/2) – Betvictor

  • Lightly raced and showing potential, Angelica K still needs to find improvement to secure her first win, especially after a break of 73 days.

4. Escarpment (3/1) – bet365

  • Having secured a victory at Musselburgh last time out, Escarpment is closely matched with Lincoln Rockstar based on previous form and should be a significant contender.

5. Spring Chorus (8/1) – Unibet

  • A mixed performer, Spring Chorus has a win on soft ground but was outperformed by two of today’s rivals on faster ground recently. Needs to bounce back to his best form.

6. Pablo Prince (14/1) – Betvictor

  • While successful three times on the All-Weather, Pablo Prince has only shown competitive form on turf in faster conditions, which may limit his prospects here.

7. Rose Light (8/1) – bet365

  • With only one win from 21 starts, Rose Light comes in off the same mark as her recent runner-up finish over this distance, but she will need a bit extra to clinch victory.

8. Caramay (7/2) – Unibet

  • Caramay has performed well since her return in May, including a win at Windsor. However, she may prefer faster ground than she is likely to encounter here.

9. Keeper (66/1) – Betvictor

  • Keeper has struggled for form for some time and showed little on his return from a long absence. Unlikely to feature unless significant improvement is found.

Verdict

Lincoln Rockstar is tipped to continue his impressive form under the guidance of Ivan Furtado. Escarpment offers strong competition and should be closely watched, while Caramay could also be in contention if she handles the ground conditions.

1. Admirable Lad (14/1) – Unibet

  • Although more successful on the all-weather, Admirable Lad has shown less impressive form on turf, needing a return to his best to contend here.

2. Asmund (9/2) – bet365

  • Asmund has struggled recently, extending his losing streak to 19. The drop to 6f may not be enough to change his fortunes.

3. Broxi (4/1) – Betvictor

  • Broxi, usually racing over longer distances, thrives on good or softer ground. His previous win on the all-weather in March makes him a strong contender.

4. Company Minx (8/1) – bet365

  • Likely needed her last run here and has shown the ability to handle most ground conditions. Worth consideration for this race.

5. Hawajes (8/1) – Unibet

  • Hawajes’ sole win came at Southwell in February. He has struggled on turf and will need to overcome this to be competitive.

6. Malinheadsearovers (20/1) – Betvictor

  • Running moderately since joining a new yard, Malinheadsearovers has shown form this time last year but will need to rediscover it.

7. My Genghis (9/2) – bet365

  • My Genghis has dropped in form over the past year but races at this level for the first time, which may give him a competitive edge.

8. Another Jack (50/1) – Unibet

  • Winless in nine starts, Another Jack’s best performance was a fourth place at Lingfield in May, but he has not shown much otherwise.

9. Dashing Willie (50/1) – Betvictor

  • Dashing Willie has not placed higher than sixth in his seven starts, suggesting he has much to find to be competitive here.

10. Mehigburn (6/1) – bet365

  • Despite being winless in 13 starts, Mehigburn has placed in similar contests at Yarmouth recently and has strong each-way claims.

11. Tomorrow Day (8/1) – Unibet

  • With a record of 0-8, Tomorrow Day drops back in trip after recent starts over longer distances. The addition of a visor may aid his performance.

12. War Zone (Non-runner)

Verdict

Broxi is expected to capitalize on his affinity for softer ground and shorter distances. Mehigburn and My Genghis also present strong cases for contention in this competitive field.

1. Bletchley Storm (7/2) – Unibet

  • Recent wins over this course and at Brighton over 1m2f on soft ground make her a strong contender, especially under a penalty.

2. Fun Loving (5/1) – Betvictor

  • Despite an initial stiff mark, there’s potential for improvement. Unproven on slow ground but has shown promise.

3. Measured Moments (9/1) – bet365

  • Won this race last year and handles soft ground. Although recent form has been inconsistent, she could repeat her previous success.

4. Salamanca City (2/1) – Unibet

  • An improving type, stepping up in trip, which could suit her. She’s a strong contender if she handles the distance well.

5. Carpathian (9/1) – Betvictor

  • Showed promise at Haydock and could be involved if she adapts to the ground conditions.

6. Song Of Appin (14/1) – bet365

  • Has shown potential in previous runs. Her initial mark seems fair, making her one to watch on handicap debut.

7. Pending Appeal (33/1) – Unibet

  • Has a record of 1 win from 16 starts and has struggled under the current trainer. Others are preferred in this race.

8. I Dare You (25/1) – Betvictor

Yet to show much form and has been comfortably beaten in both handicap starts. Likely to find others stronger here.

Verdict

Bletchley Storm is favored due to her proven track record in similar conditions, making her the one to beat under a penalty. Salamanca City and Fun Loving also present strong cases and could be key players in this contest.

1. Come On You Spurs (9/4) – Unibet

  • A recent winner at Lingfield, this filly carries a penalty but should be a major player again down in trip.

2. Dashing Donkey (4/1) – Betvictor

  • Successful at Yarmouth in back-to-back races over 1m and 7f, this filly is up 7lb in total but could find more.

3. Koji (40/1) – bet365

  • A 7f AW winner, this filly has not placed in eight turf starts and needs significant improvement.

4. Monkey Miss (9/1) – Unibet

  • A winner over 5.5f (good to soft) in May, but she needs more as she steps up in trip following recent below-par performances.

5. Queens Road Revue (17/2) – Betvictor

  • Placed over 7f in her last two starts and handles soft ground. Blinkers could improve her performance further.

6. Electrified (12/1) – bet365

  • Disappointed as the favorite on his handicap debut at Kempton, this colt drops 2lb for his turf debut.

7. Sold The Dream (11/2) – Unibet

  • With moderate form in three 7f AW starts last winter, her initial mark looks stiff, but improvement is possible.

8. Our Dagger (11/2) – Betvictor

  • Unexposed and sixth at Fairyhouse latest (7f, good), this filly drops 3lb and is worth watching in the market.

9. Pickled Pepper (28/1) – bet365

  • Moderate performer who needs improvement to defy this mark as she returns to a longer trip.

10. Lady Twilight (25/1) – Unibet

  • With moderate form in all five starts, the last two in handicaps, this filly drops another 3lb and needs to show more.

11. Queen Of Africa (50/1) – Betvictor

  • Well beaten in most of her six starts, this filly needs to improve significantly to be competitive.

12. C’Mon Pompey (40/1) – bet365

  • Hard to make a strong case on her handicap debut after being down the field in three starts.

13. Project Frank (50/1) – Unibet

Well beaten at big odds on all three starts, this colt can only be watched on his handicap debut.

Verdict

The improving Come On You Spurs is favored to follow up her Lingfield win, despite a penalty. Dashing Donkey and Queens Road Revue also present as strong contenders in this field.
