In his first match back at Selhurst Park, Hodgson managed to lead his team to a 2-1 win over Leicester thanks to Jean-Philippe Mateta’s goal in stoppage time. Palace are now sitting in 12th place and have a three-point advantage over the relegation zone in what is likely to be a battle that will go to the wire.
On Sunday afternoon, they will travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds United, who are also involved in the survival battle. The Whites, however, managed to secure a six-pointer against Nottingham Forest in midweek, which moved them up to 13th place with a two-point cushion over the relegation zone.
