Sunday’s racing line-up promises a mix of competitive handicaps and intriguing clashes between improving types, and our team at BettingTips4You have combined their best value picks into a carefully considered horse racing accumulator for August 10. This treble takes in action from Haydock and Leicester, with each leg offering a strong case for inclusion, based on current form, proven ability under the conditions, and tactical suitability for the races in question.
Our panel of three racing experts – John Pentin, Herrin Kendrick, and Gram Dodd – have each taken responsibility for one selection. Every tip has been chosen for its potential to deliver a profit while complementing the others in the bet. From a progressive filly stepping up in trip with untapped ability, to a new stable recruit set to shine on debut for his yard, and a consistent handicapper just waiting for the gaps to appear, these picks all carry legitimate winning credentials.
Here’s the breakdown of the three selections that make up our Accumulator for Sunday August 10.

242/1 - odds when tipped | |
Reasoning This accumulator combines three well-handicapped runners with clear form and situational positives. Princess Rascal is progressive, Solar Pass has unfinished business after an unlucky run, and Havanagreattime gets conditions to suit. Together, they offer a compelling treble with the right mix of proven ability and potential for improvement. |
17:45 Haydock – Lorna B
John Pentin; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Lorna B arrives here in fine form and looks ready to tackle this Class 4 Fillies’ Handicap over seven furlongs. Since her sole juvenile run at Doncaster last autumn, she has made notable progress, beginning her three-year-old campaign with a surprise win in a Newcastle maiden at odds of 28/1.
Her only real blip came when tried over this same trip at Newcastle in May, where she was making a strong challenge before severe interference from the leader ended her chances in the final furlong. That misfortune aside, she has been flawless, with back-to-back victories at Thirsk and Carlisle over six furlongs, showing both dominance and battling spirit when required.

Her trainer, Seb Spencer, has long believed she would be suited by another try at seven furlongs, and the faster surface at Haydock should only play to her strengths. With scope for further improvement and a mark that still looks workable, she has every chance to confirm her upward trajectory.
17:15 Haydock – Knicks
Herrin Kendrick; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Knicks has shown multiple times this season that a win is within reach, and this five-furlong sprint looks an ideal opening. Trained by Mick & David Easterby, he went desperately close at Musselburgh in April, only to be caught on the line. A similar story unfolded at Chester last month, where he travelled strongly, hit the front a furlong out, but was collared late by Aces Wild.
That Chester run was particularly eye-catching given he raced a little too freely and was forced to cover more ground than ideal. Despite that, he still looked the most likely winner until the final strides. A 2lb rise for that performance leaves him on a mark still below his last winning rating, suggesting he remains competitively treated.
With Connor Beasley retaining the ride and conditions set to suit, Knicks has all the tools to turn those narrow defeats into a deserved success, especially if he can settle just behind the leaders and pounce late.
15:00 Leicester – Joycean Way
Gram Dodd; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Joycean Way has been knocking on the door in recent runs and can finally get his head in front in this Leicester handicap over seven furlongs. On his penultimate start at Yarmouth, he shaped as the best horse at the weights, travelling strongly but finding his route blocked at a vital stage. Even so, he rallied late to finish a close second.
A similar story unfolded at Windsor last time, where early traffic problems again compromised his run before he stayed on encouragingly to take the runner-up spot. Those two efforts have confirmed he’s operating from a mark that gives him every chance of winning, provided he enjoys a clear passage.
With his yard in solid form and conditions here expected to suit, the key will be securing an uninterrupted run. If things fall into place, his turn of foot and ability to stay on powerfully in the closing stages could finally earn him the victory he’s been threatening.
