Main Bet: Alexander Bjork

Our main pick for this week is Alexander Bjork, who has done well in 2017 at Genzon, a course that has a strong correlation to the Diamond Country Club. In that event, Bjork finished tied 14th and has also recorded third and eighth place at the Open de France at Le Golf National, which is another course that Diamond specialists usually have enjoyed.

In addition to having great course form, the Swede has also finished tied 15th at this event in 2017, after a solid start. The recent form is also positive as it has finished in the top 40s in seven of the last 14 tournaments. It is worth also mentioning that he finished first for Putting Average in Qatar, and with the weather that looks cold and wet this week, he can indeed have an edge. Bjork finished second at the British Masters a few years ago in similar conditions and came very close to land success in Austria on the Challenge Tour back in 2015. This could be his week.

Each Way Bet: Ross Fisher

Ross Fisher is another player that tends to do well at Diamond Country Club and correlated courses. He was third at Genzon in 2017 and also tied sixth at Topwin. Of course, his form hasn’t been good recently as he hasn’t made a top 50 in four starts this season, but he was tied seventh when playing a field similar to this one in the Dubai Championship just before Christmas. The last time we have seen him was at the Qatar Masters, and this could mean that he has been working hard on his game. Fisher could be able to bounce back here and looks a very interesting each-way bet at this inflated price.
