MLB Treble

by John Pentin

11:40pm Wednesday 30th August

Texas Rangers

Team 1

New York Mets

Team 1

Under 8.5

Kodai Senga's impressive MLB transition, with a strong 3.17 ERA, is notable. As the AL West division race tightens, Texas Rangers rely on "Dependable Dane Dunning" in pivotal matches, suggesting an Under 8.5 bet.

Pittsburgh Pirates

Team 1

Kansas City Royals

Team 1

Pittsburgh Pirates Win

The Pittsburgh Pirates lead the series against the Kansas City Royals with two wins. While Pirates' Andre Jackson boasts a recent 3.32 ERA, Royals' Angel Zerpa struggles with a 7.79 ERA this season. Despite Royals' strong triples record, their on-base percentage is weak. Given the Pirates' recent form and Royals' scoring slump, betting on the Pirates seems favourable.

Atlanta Braves

Team 1

Colorado Rockies

Team 1

ATL Braves -2.5

The Atlanta Braves are set to sweep the Colorado Rockies after two dominant games. Though this series isn't playoff-critical, the Braves use it as practice, while the Rockies assess their squad. Pitcher Kyle Freeland's underwhelming stats for the Rockies contrast with Darius Vines' debut for the Braves. With the Braves' stellar offense and recent form, betting on their win on the run line is suggested.

When do you post your MLB predictions?

Our baseball tips are posted every day, not later than 6pm UK time. Some days we might post earlier when we find best opportunities and want to secure the best odds. Make sure to bookmark this page and regularly check so you won’t miss any of those great MLB tips.

What baseball tips do you provide?

In this section, we will provide the best bet of the day on the MLB. Our experts do analyse the games in schedule and pick the selection where they believe there is the best value. Before providing our tips, our experts are scraping the markets and research stats and the teams’ form. Only when they believe they have found the best opportunity, they post the tip of the day on this page.

What does run line mean in MLB betting?

This is like placing a handicap bet in football, it is just that it has a different name for baseball. So if you are backing, for instance, the New York Yankees to win with +1.5 runs, it means that if they lose by less than the handicap, you have still won your bet.

What are Baseball most popular types of bets?

For baseball the types of bets are very similar to any other team sports, like, for instance, football. The only difference is that names are taken from the US, so there might be unfamiliar to you. For instance:

Money Line – is the American sports term that refers to backing one team to win the match. So New York Yankees Money Line is the equivalent of saying New York Yankees to win.

Game Totals – it refers to the number of runs scored in a single match. The equivalent in football of this market is the Total Goals (Under/Over).

Parlay – It is the American term for accumulators. A baseball bet made of more than one selection is a Parlay. Similarly to accumulators, you need to win all the selections to have a return.

MLB live betting

Similarly to other sports, MLB live betting has become very popular in recent years. With this feature, punters can jump into a game at any time and place a bet on the live lines. Odds for money line, run line and total will move during the game depending on the score: for instance, a game scoreless after five innings will see the total drop odds drop significantly, but punters watching the game might know, for example, that the starters are approaching high pitch counts and might be replaced by shaky bullpens. In this scenario, they might want to take advantage of live Over odds. One reason MLB live betting is so popular is that it increases the engagement from bettors while the game is on and also offers opportunities that are not available pre-match.

MLB futures betting

Even when the MLB season is off, there are opportunities to bet on the MLB with Future bets. As you can grasp from the name, these are long-term bets where punters are predicting, for instance, the winner of the upcoming season’s World Series, the MVP and many other outcomes. There are many MLB futures bets also at a player level: how many home runs for a power hitter, how many wins for a pitcher and so on. As mentioned, particularly popular are season-end awards bets like MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year for every league. Odds are updated regularly throughout the season, so you can place Future bets at any time, not only before the season begins. You might notice that before the season starts, the usual suspects will be the favourites in these markets, but as the campaign progresses, the surprising breakout stars will make their way up the odds board.
