Turkey vs Montenegro Predictions
Best Odds Boost for this Match
Can Montenegro Break Turkey’s Momentum, or Will the Crescent-Stars Continue to Shine?
- Turkey’s Home Dominance: Turkey have won seven of their last ten home internationals, showcasing their ability to make Samsun a fortress, particularly in competitive fixtures.
- Montenegro’s Scoring Streak Against Turkey: Despite their struggles, Montenegro have scored in each of their last three meetings with Turkey, finding the net five times across those encounters.
- Montenegro’s Defensive Woes: The Brave Falcons have conceded at least twice in each of their last four matches, illustrating why they’ve been unable to stop their current losing streak
Our Tips
Celtic -1 to Win | |
1/1 - odds when tipped | |
Reasoning Backing Celtic to win with a -1 handicap is a strong bet, given their dominant away form, defensive solidity, and Hearts’ offensive struggles. Expect a controlled, comfortable victory for the Hoops.
Celtic 3-0 | |
17/2 - odds when tipped | |
Reasoning A 3-0 Celtic victory seems likely, reflecting their attacking depth and defensive solidity. Hearts’ struggles in attack and Celtic’s away dominance point to a comfortable, clinical win for the visitors. |
As Turkey prepare to host Montenegro in the Nations League clash on Friday at the Samsun 19 Mayis Stadium, emotions are running high on both sides. The Crescent-Stars, fresh off a successful Euro 2024 campaign, are looking to consolidate their position at the top of League B Group 4. Meanwhile, Montenegro are desperately hoping to turn around their miserable run of form, having lost four consecutive games and sitting at the bottom of the group.
Turkey have every reason to be confident. With a home advantage and a star-studded lineup including players like Kerem Akturkoglu, who is in blistering form after a recent hat-trick, they are eager to maintain their unbeaten start in the Nations League. Montenegro, on the other hand, are reeling from poor performances and a lack of consistency, not to mention the pressure of avoiding an unwanted record: a fifth straight defeat, which would mark a low point for the Brave Falcons since they became an independent footballing nation in 2007.
Despite the visitors’ dire form, football can be unpredictable, and it’s not all doom and gloom for Montenegro. They’ve managed to score in each of their last three encounters against Turkey, and perhaps the biggest surprise of all could come from their ability to find the net in a game where they’ve been largely written off.
Best Bet: Turkey to Win with Both Teams to Score
Given Turkey’s strong recent performances and Montenegro’s defensive frailties, the best bet for this clash has to be a Turkey win with both teams scoring. While Turkey are solid at home, boasting seven victories in their last 10 home internationals, they’ve also shown a tendency to concede. In fact, they’ve let in goals in six of their last eight home games, which gives Montenegro a glimmer of hope to at least make their mark on the scoresheet.
Montenegro’s recent form does little to inspire confidence—they’ve lost their last four matches, including two in this very Nations League campaign—but it’s worth noting that they’ve still managed to score in defeats against Wales and Georgia. The Falcons may be struggling, but they do tend to find the back of the net in defeat. Their forward line, led by veterans like Stevan Jovetic and supported by dynamic players like Driton Camaj, has the capacity to trouble Turkey’s defence.
Turkey’s attacking firepower, especially with Kerem Akturkoglu spearheading the charge, means that the hosts are likely to score multiple goals. Akturkoglu, fresh from a heroic hat-trick against Iceland, will be looking to add to his tally, and with creative forces like Hakan Calhanoglu and Arda Guler pulling the strings in midfield, the Turks are likely to dominate possession and create plenty of chances. Montenegro’s defence, which has conceded at least twice in their last four matches, will be hard-pressed to keep them at bay.
Our expert at BettingTips4You.com, Wolfgang Shotten, weighed in on the situation:
“Turkey’s home form and their ability to score goals, coupled with Montenegro’s leaky defence, makes a home win the obvious choice. But given Turkey’s propensity to concede, backing both teams to score alongside a Turkey victory offers great value.”
Indeed, this prediction isn’t without its risks, but all signs point to a match where both sides could find the net. Montenegro are fighting for pride, and though it’s hard to see them winning, they’ve proven capable of snatching goals even in the face of defeat. On the other hand, Turkey’s offensive prowess at home should be more than enough to secure the three points.
Correct Score Prediction: Turkey 3-1 Montenegro
With a Turkey victory looking highly probable, the correct score prediction sits comfortably at 3-1. The Crescent-Stars have the attacking talent to score three or more, as seen in their recent 3-1 win over Iceland. Montenegro, meanwhile, have scored in each of their last three meetings with Turkey and are likely to continue that trend. Their ability to capitalise on rare chances in front of goal has been a saving grace in what has otherwise been a disappointing Nations League campaign.
Turkey’s defence, while not impenetrable, is far superior to Montenegro’s, and it’s reasonable to expect them to concede once, especially given their habit of switching off in certain moments. Montenegro’s strikers—if they can stay focused—are certainly capable of finding that one breakthrough goal. However, a high-scoring contest, favouring the hosts, looks like the most likely outcome.
This scoreline prediction also aligns with the best bet for the match, where Turkey should comfortably outscore Montenegro, but still allow the visitors a small window of opportunity to put the ball in the back of the net.
