Liverpool vs Southampton

John Pentin; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Liverpool might be flying high at the top of the Premier League, but with a crucial Champions League tie against PSG looming on Tuesday, their priorities could be elsewhere. Arne Slot’s side somehow escaped Paris with a 1-0 victory despite being heavily outplayed, and given their 13-point cushion in the league, rotation is inevitable. When the Reds made wholesale changes against Plymouth in the FA Cup, they suffered an embarrassing defeat, so Southampton may fancy their chances of finding the net.

The Saints have already caused Liverpool problems this season, scoring in both their previous meetings, and they have managed to find the net in four of their last five away games. Even if they can’t take points off the Reds, they should at least contribute to the scoreline at Anfield.

Brighton vs Fulham

Wolfgang Shotten; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Brighton’s resurgence under Fabian Hürzeler has been remarkable, with the Seagulls winning eight of their last ten matches in all competitions. After a humbling 7-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, many feared their season could unravel, but they have responded with impressive victories over Chelsea, Bournemouth, and Newcastle. Their FA Cup win over the Magpies showed their resilience, coming from behind to win in extra time.

Fulham have been involved in plenty of tight contests recently, but they have been on the losing side against Crystal Palace, Manchester United, and West Ham. With key midfielder Sasa Lukic suspended and Adama Traoré struggling with injury, Brighton’s superior squad depth should prove decisive. Fulham have also seen both teams score in ten of their last 13 games, but Brighton’s quality should see them secure another important win at the Amex.

Best Bet: Brighton to Win

Crystal Palace vs Ipswich

Herrin Kendrick; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Crystal Palace have hit their stride in 2024, winning nine of their last 12 matches in all competitions. Oliver Glasner has transformed their fortunes, and a top-half finish now looks a real possibility. Their recent FA Cup win over Millwall was marred by an injury to Jean-Philippe Mateta, but they should still have enough attacking firepower to deal with an Ipswich side struggling for confidence.

Ipswich’s form has collapsed, with just one point from their last 21 available in the league. Their defence, once solid, has now leaked 22 goals in their last seven matches, and their FA Cup penalty shootout defeat to Nottingham Forest only added to their misery. With key attacking players missing through injury, they look set for another difficult evening. Palace should dominate this one.

Best Bet: Crystal Palace to Win

Plymouth Argyle vs Sheffield Wednesday

Gram Dodd; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Neither Plymouth nor Sheffield Wednesday are in great form, making a draw a realistic outcome. Plymouth’s relegation fears are growing, as they sit six points adrift of safety with a defence that has conceded a league-high 70 goals. Their FA Cup run has been a welcome distraction, but in the Championship, results have not improved under Miron Muslic.

Sheffield Wednesday, meanwhile, have dropped into mid-table after three consecutive losses. Their promising first half of the season under Danny Röhl has faded, and their play-off ambitions are slipping away. Their last win came against Swansea, but heavy defeats to Coventry, Burnley, and Sunderland have dented their confidence. With both sides desperate to avoid another defeat, a cagey stalemate looks likely.

Best Bet: Draw

Valencia vs Real Valladolid

Steve Harrington; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Valencia’s fight for survival sees them take on bottom-of-the-table Real Valladolid in what is a must-win fixture at the Mestalla. While Valencia have had a turbulent season, their home form has been crucial, with 18 of their 24 points coming at their own ground. They have struggled on the road but remain competitive in front of their fans.

Real Valladolid have endured a dreadful campaign, losing 18 of their 26 league games and scoring the fewest goals in La Liga. However, they have found the net in each of their last two matches, and with Valencia’s leaky defence conceding three in their last game against Osasuna, there is a good chance they will score again. That said, Valencia’s attacking options, including Umar Sadiq, should give them the edge.

Best Bet: Valencia to Win & Both Teams to Score

Inter Milan vs Monza

Tyler Morris; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Inter Milan remain firmly in the title race and will be eager to bounce back after dropping points against Napoli last weekend. Their midweek Champions League win over Feyenoord proved their quality, and Simone Inzaghi’s side have been dominant at the San Siro. With maximum points from their last three home league games, they will be confident of dispatching struggling Monza.

Monza are bottom of Serie A and look doomed to relegation. They have failed to score in any of their last three home games and have one of the worst attacking records in the division. Their last visit to San Siro ended in a 1-1 draw, but given their current form, they are unlikely to repeat that performance. Inter should take control early and maintain their advantage throughout.

Best Bet: Inter Milan to Win at Half-Time & Full-Time
