The hosts will try to bounce back immediately, but they will be wary of Osasuna, who have a decent recent record against Rayo Vallecano, having achieved nine wins in their last 20 matches played between these two sides. Rajo Vallecano has won six of these encounters and only two of their last four matches against the Pamplona-based team.

Rayo Vallecano are currently winless in their last eight La Liga matches, and this is their worst streak in the competition, with their last win coming against Almeria back in February. To get a positive result against a tricky Osasuna side, Rayo would need their key players like Fran Garcia and Isi Palazon to step up, but given the form of the two sides, it is difficult to separate them, making the draw a rather appealing proposition.
Both sides have little to play for in this clash, as Rayo Vallecano’s hopes of qualifying for Europe have been dashed by the winless run, with five of these matches ending in stalemates.

As mentioned earlier, Rayo Vallecano would need some of their best players to deliver to open up a rather stubborn Osasuna back line. Unai Lopez looks like the one who could do it.
