Bologna, meanwhile, are not without problems of their own. Vincenzo Italiano’s side have been a mixed bag: lively at home, limp on the road. Their away record has turned into something of a running joke — four consecutive defeats across competitions, including setbacks at Roma, Milan and most recently Aston Villa. Yet, if there is ever a time to break that unwanted run, facing bottom-placed Lecce might just be it.
The story writes itself: one team cannot stop losing, the other cannot win on their travels. Something has to give.

Their build-up play is ponderous, and while Riccardo Sottil might return, there’s little to suggest he alone can solve their attacking woes.
The under 2.5 goals element is justified by the fact that Bologna rarely win big, especially away. Italiano’s side have been functional rather than free-flowing, often relying on narrow scorelines. Lecce’s attack, blunt as a butter knife, isn’t going to trouble Skorupski enough to open the floodgates. This feels like a match where a single moment of quality decides it.
