Lazio vs Juventus Predictions

[wptb id="389200" not found ]
Key Stats
– Juventus have recorded 11 wins in their last 14 games and have conceded just one defeat in the period.
– Juventus defeated 3-0 Lazio in the reverse game in November.
– Lazio are without a win in their last seven meetings with Juventus.

Can Juventus refocus after midweek mayhem?

Juventus will be keen to extend their three-match winning streak in Serie A when they make the trip to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome to face Lazio on Saturday night, in what is the most anticipated match of this Easter weekend’s round. This match comes straight after the tumultuous cup affair against arch-rivals Inter Milan, which ended in a draw.

That result still leaves Juventus with the opportunity to qualify for the Coppa Italia final; however, things look more tricky when it comes to reaching the top-four spot. The Old Lady is currently sitting 11 points behind Lazio, and with the 15-point penalty, they have plenty of work to do to reach Champions League qualification for next season.

To evaluate Max Allegri’s squad’s strengths and performances, we also need to remember that they would be sitting in second place on the table without the points deduction, so surely they have done well in this season, despite the circumstances. After an inconsistent first part of the campaign, Juventus has been impressive since February, with a record of 11 wins in their last 14 games and having conceded just one defeat in the period. Their performance has been particularly good against the current Serie A’s top eight, with three wins and just one defeat since January.

Lazio are also in decent shape, as they have won their last two league games against Roma and Monza. Despite these results, however, Maurizio Sarri’s men’s performances haven’t been free-flowing but have been able to be solid at the back and, in fact, have kept six clean sheets in Serie A and eight in the last ten games in all competitions. When facing Juventus, they have had problems in recent years, as, since 2019, they have never been able to win in seven encounters and have also lost the reverse match in November by a score of 3-0.

In midweek, Juventus looked on track to deliver another success to their fans in the Coppa Italia semi-final against Simone Inzaghi’s men, as they were leading heading into the 90th minute thanks to a goal from Juan Cuadrado. However, in stoppage time, Bremer’s clumsy handball gave Inter the opportunity to equalise with Romelu Lukaku, who scored from a penalty. Subsequently, Lukaku was subjected to racist abuse and was then sent off for shouting at Juventus fans.

Max Allegri’s men will be keen to turn the page quickly, and a win over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico will help them do that, as it will narrow the gap further. Since Lazio have an eight-point advantage with only nine Serie A rounds remaining, it is feasible that they will also go for the draw.

Lazio vs Juventus Main Betting Tip: Juventus To Win & Under 2.5 Goals

Confidence Level

£20 returns £33

Odds corrects at time of posting and subject to change

Juventus’ style under Massimiliano Allegri has been to have a solid balance at the back and get the maximum points with minimal offensive effort. It is not a surprise to see that they have won most games by the minimum margin and have become a team that is very difficult to score against. They are in very good form, having lost just one of their last 14 games, with 11 wins during the period, and they will have to come back home with the three points in order to have realistic chances of finishing in the top four.

Lazio haven’t been so impressive in recent weeks, and might succumb to Juventus, considering that they are struggling to score goals at the moment. A tight, narrow affair probably decided by a single goal is my main bet for this game, with Juventus to win and under 2.5 looking particularly valuable..

Lazio vs Juventus Value Bet: Felipe Anderson to be carded

Confidence Level

£10 returns £100

Odds corrects at time of posting and subject to change

Felipe Anderson looked particularly nervous against Monza in the last match played by Lazio and ended up getting a yellow card. Lazio are struggling to score goals, and the Brazilian is not playing particularly well and is getting more and more frustrated as a result. His foul average is 1 per game, which is rather high, and in a tight and important match like the one against Juventus, he is likely to get another card by referee Marco Di Bello, who has a very high yellow card average of 4.93 cards per game.

Lazio vs Juventus Correct Score Prediction: Juventus 1-0

Confidence Level

£10 return £100

Odds corrects at time of posting and subject to change

Overall, I believe Leeds will come out on top here. The home advantage has been key for the Whites in this season, and if you couple that with the dreadful away record of the Eagles, it makes sense to back Leeds to get an edge in what is likely to be a rather open match, in which goals should be on the cards given the fragility of both defensive departments.
