Juventus, who had to deal with a -15-point penalty in the league, are coming into this match in better shape compared with their rivals. After some shaky months, Massimiliano Allegri has been able to find the right formula, and despite the problems outside the pitch, on the pitch, the Bianconeri look solid and have won 11 of their last 13 matches, which also include the last five.

I was in Turin to watch the match against Verona on Saturday night, and it was clear that now everyone is behind the team. They are fully united, and every fan believes Juventus can still do well this season.

So it has been a very painful campaign, but things do look rather bright for Juventus now. The same cannot be said for Inter, where Simone Inzaghi is on the verge of being sacked.
The Nerazzurri have lost their last three domestic games and have only been able to win once in their last six matches in all competitions.
On Saturday, they were defeated 1-0 at home by Fiorentina, in a match that prompted former president Massimo Moratti to declare, ‘It looked like a friendly game. Antonio Conte would be very useful right now’.
Surely not what you want to hear if your name is Simone Inzaghi, who is grappling with a leaky defence and an attack that is misfiring with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, who are out of form.
Inter have failed to score in the last three matches and are winless in four after failing to defeat lowly Sampdoria and with defeats against the likes of Bologna and Spezia. Last month they also lost to Juventus 1-0, so this trip to the Allianz Stadium is probably a make-or-break for Inzaghi.

As was already said, Juventus are the better team right now. Based on their recent results and the fact that they are playing at home, it makes sense to pick them to win a game that should be close.
Allegri’s men showed against Verona on Saturday that they were very compact, and when they faced Inter in November, they prevailed with a clear 2-0.
They have now won the last two encounters against the Nerazzurri, and I do expect them to keep things tight and get a narrow win to take to Milan for the second leg.
This is a very important match for Juventus, and this is proven by the fact that Max Allegri has kept several key players out of the match against Verona. The likes of Dusan Vlahovic and Angel Di Maria only played a part in the second half of that match and should be fresh for this clash. El Fideo has scored four goals in Serie A in 17 games, but it is in key Europa League games where he has been more effective, with four goals in three games and an average of 3.7 shots on target.

All things considered, it makes sense to back the Allegri boys to get the job done in Turin and push Inzaghi towards the sack. There will be a huge fan presence at the Allianz Arena who will help the team get revenge on the eternal rivals and secure a third consecutive win against them.
Not only are Juventus in better form, but they are also more rested, with key players ready to deliver, while Inter seems to have lost the plot, and against Fiorentina it was pretty clear that not all the team is behind the manager.
