Main Bet: Tyrrell Hatton To Win
I’m going to place my first bet at 25/1 on Tyrrell Hatton.
In his last two starts, Hatton has placed eighth (at the Italian Open) and seventh (at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship), and he putted well in both. He improved by over 4.2 strokes on the greens each time, and he also drove it well, finishing ninth and fourth, respectively, for SG: Off The Tee.
The Chapultepec connection undoubtedly supports his position. At the WGC-Mexico Championship, the Englishman played four times, posting scores of 10-3-19-6. His third-place finish at Hilton Head, eighth-place finish at Sedgefield, and victory between the trees at Wentworth in 2020 are more examples of his performance on courses that should match up nicely. At 25/1, bet on the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational champion to have a successful course debut.

Tom Hoge To Win
£20 bet returns £65 (if placed) with Betvictor

Main Bet: Tom Hoge To Win
Tom Hoge finished fourth for Par 3s in the previous season, and one of those helped him win at Pebble Beach. After finishing fourth at the 3M Open and a top 10 at the tree-lined Southern Hills in the US PGA Championship, he concluded his best-ever season with a top five at the Tour Championship.
This last point is essential because Narashino and East Lake both have fairways made of Zoyzia and greens made of Bentgrass.
His performance to start the new season is what really pulls him into sharp focus. Hoge started out in 12th place at the Fortinet (a congested, tree-lined course), but he closed out the weekend in Las Vegas last week with a 65-64 score to place in the top four.
In both competitions, he made good putts. At the Shriners, he placed second for SG: Approach, 4th Tee To Green, and 14th Off The Tee.
In his previous outing on this course, Hoge went 66-69 over the remaining 36 holes to finish respectably tied for 17th after starting with a 2-over 72. The 33-year-old American is worth a shot given his increasing form and suitability with this course. A very good each-way punt for someone clearly capable of being in contention.
