Races Previews For Today’s, Thursday 6th June at Hamilton and Uttoxeter

Today’s racing action promises thrilling competition across various courses, with a diverse mix of horses showcasing their potential. At Chelmsford, Clear Storm, trained by William Haggas and ridden by Cieren Fallon, stands out in the 6.45 race. Despite only narrowly winning on her handicap debut at Nottingham, the margin was sufficient as she pulled clear of a subsequent winner, making a 3lb rise appear reasonable. Clear Storm’s pedigree indicates significant potential for improvement from this modest level.

However, Ten Dimes, also competing at Chelmsford in the 7.15 race, deserves attention. Trained by John and Thady Gosden and ridden by Robert Havlin, Ten Dimes has shown promising form, having won her latest all-weather start at Newcastle and shaping up nicely on the Al Bahathri Polytrack.

Over at Hamilton, Bur Dubai, ridden by Jason Hart and trained by Kevin Philippart De Foy, is noteworthy in the 3.55 race. After finishing second on his handicap debut at Kempton, the form was validated when the winner followed up with a 7lb higher mark. Bur Dubai’s progression suggests he can go one better today. Another notable entry at Hamilton is Roman Dragon in the 3.25 race. Trained by H Palmer and ridden by Jason Hart, Roman Dragon showed significant improvement during his winter stint in Bahrain and could be a strong contender as he returns to six furlongs.

Meanwhile, at Haydock, The Good Biscuit, trained by Jack Channon and ridden by David Probert, competes in the 3.05 race. A dual winner last season, he achieved a personal best when finishing second on his reappearance and is expected to be a strong contender again. Another horse to watch at Haydock is Paddy’s Day in the 3.35 race.

Trained by Nigel Tinkler and ridden by Rowan Scott, Paddy’s Day has shown consistent form this season, including a close second at Ascot last month. Additionally, Al Thariyaat, a Dubawi filly trained by Harry Eustace and ridden by Jim Crowley, is making her debut in the 4.40 race. With a well-bred pedigree, being a half-sister to a Listed winner, and her stable in form, she is worth keeping an eye on.

At Uttoxeter, Kintail, in the 4.18 race, has shown consistent form. Although beaten only by a subsequent Grade 2 winner at Aintree’s Grand National meeting, he has two wins from his last few starts, indicating potential for further success. Fair Frontieres, another entry at Uttoxeter in the same race, has also displayed potential. Trained by K C Bailey and ridden by J J Burke, Fair Frontieres looks well-treated following wind surgery and the application of cheekpieces, which seemed to aid his recent performance at Kempton.

Clear Storm’s promising debut win at Nottingham has set a solid foundation for her prospects in today’s 18:45 race at Chelmsford. Trained by the esteemed William Haggas and ridden by Cieren Fallon, Clear Storm demonstrated her capability by narrowly securing victory, pulling clear of a subsequent winner.

The 3lb rise in her handicap rating is a testament to her potential. Her pedigree suggests significant room for development, indicating she is well-placed to continue her upward trajectory. Fallon’s skillful riding, combined with Haggas’ training acumen, further boosts her chances of success.

Bur Dubai has shown remarkable consistency since joining Kevin Philippart de Foy’s yard. His second-place finish on his handicap debut at Kempton was a strong performance, particularly as the winner has since won again off a higher mark, thereby validating the form.

Ridden by Jason Hart, Bur Dubai’s ability to chase home Wild Waves, who followed up with a 7lb higher mark, showcases his tenacity and potential for improvement. This form, combined with Hart’s adept handling, makes Bur Dubai a formidable contender for the 15:55 race at Hamilton. His progressive form suggests he is poised to secure a win today.
