Sahith Theegala To Win

£20 bet returns £1,620 with Betvictor

Main Bet: Sahith Theegala

Sahith Theegala sounds like a good bet at a reasonable price considering there are only 70 players in the field, so I’ll start off there.
Due to a second-place finish at the Travelers Championship back in June, Theegala blends regional and current form. From Wilmington, it takes four hours to get to TPC River Highlands on the east coast.

Theegala actually ought to have won, but he hasn’t let it get to him. The American with Indian ancestry finished tied 16th at John Deere the next week, had a strong Open debut and opened with a 63, and then finished tied 13th at the St. Jude Championship last week. This performance propelled him to 28th place in the FedEx Cup standings. Right now, that’s barely enough to get him into East Lake, but he must keep pushing.

Going back to last week, it’s possible that Theegala felt Will Zalatoris’s win more strongly than most others. That triumph demonstrated that if you continue pounding on doors, eventually they will open.

Theegala missed great chances at the Waste Management Phoenix Open (3rd) and the Travelers Championship (2nd), but those missed opportunities count as experience for the future. If this week’s driving is crucial, Theegala’s remarks made at St Jude are encouraging as well.

“The main lesson is probably that I drove it well all week. Perhaps one of my finest driving weeks ever occurred during that week. It provides a great deal of optimism for the upcoming weeks because it has always been the weakest aspect of my game. “
He finished 11th for SG: Off The Tee, which is supported by the statistics, so maybe the rookie can make a significant impact at these high odds.

Denny McCarthy (Each Way) To Win

£20 bet returns £322 (if placed) with Betvictor

Each-way Bet: Denny McCarthy

Denny McCarthy is another guy enjoying a solid year without crossing the line. The 29-year-old was tied 5th in the Memorial Tournament, tied 7th at the US Open, and tied sixth at the John Deere over the past several months. He has moved up to 36th in the FedEx Cup rankings because of those stellar performances; if this week goes well, he will advance to the top-30 at East Lake which will be the 1st time in his career.

McCarthy’s long game has definitely improved, which is something I enjoy. This string of successful finishes isn’t solely the result of his regular putting prowess. If we look at SG: Tee To Green he ranked 24th in the US Open, 9th at the John Deere Classic, and 14th at Memorial.

McCarthy struggled, missing the cut at the Rocket Mortgage and Wyndham Championships, but rebounded to finish in the top 20 at the St Jude Championship last week when he began with scores of 66-65 and finished eighth for Greens In Regulation. Speaking of such upgrades, he stated the following at TPC Southwind: “I worked really hard on my driving and iron play. I was off for three weeks. I started to develop some negative habits, was driving the ball poorly, and wasn’t making sharp, solid iron shots.

“So I invited my coach over on Monday and Tuesday, and we simply practised on some of the drills we do to turn the ball through with good, aggressive ease. We returned to those emotions, and they are right now really pleasant.

I will put myself in competition by hitting it as hard as I know I can. I know wonderful things are starting to appear my way if I just constantly put in the hard effort and stay with the process.”

Third in terms of strokes gained: Putting: If McCarthy’s long game keeps improving, he has a chance to contend here, and he is worth an each-way punt at these high odds.
