Main Bet: Adri Arnaus To Win

Our main pick for this week is Adri Arnaus. That’s because Arnaus, who won the Grand Final here, went on to finish ninth last year when he was second going into the final round.

The 28-year-old finally had some success on the circuit toward the end of last year, and then things went a little bit downhill from there. But he finished ninth in the DP World Championship and thirteenth in the Dubai Desert Classic the next week, which are both great results. He also has a great record in the United Arab Emirates.

Since he won the DP World Tour event at Al Hamra by a large margin, he has played in the UAE 16 times and finished in the top 30 12 times, including 8 times in the top 15. Given that the majority of those tournaments were played on harder tracks and against stronger fields, it is a strong body of work that compares well with the rest of the field.

It was his fourth top-30 finish in five appearances at Emirates, which is another illustration of how he repeats himself when he enjoys a course.

In addition, he has successful finishes at Leopard Creek, Crans, Club de Campo, in Kenya, and, of course, here. He is in good shape and seems to have overcome his post-first victory dip.
