Over in New England, the mood is somewhat more optimistic after the Patriots claimed an impressive 33-27 win away at Miami, bouncing back from a disappointing opening defeat to the Raiders. Quarterback Drake Maye played a central role in that turnaround, putting in one of his most accurate displays so far. That win also marked the first for new head coach Mike Vrabel, signalling perhaps a shift in attitude for a team that had previously struggled at home, winning just two of their last eleven games in Foxborough.
