20:40 Leicester – Watch And Shoot

Herrin Kendrick; Racing Analyst at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
This three-year-old made a bold impression when tackling handicaps for the first time at Windsor just nine days ago, and although only finishing fifth, there was plenty to like about the effort. The son of Time Test found himself stuck behind a wall of horses, shuffled back as the race unfolded, and only saw daylight late in the final furlong. By then, the winner had flown, but he made up ground rapidly to finish within half a length of the winner.

That effort showed he is well capable from his current official rating of 79, and a smoother run at Leicester could easily see him go one better. He returns at the same trip and goes from the same mark, which looks lenient given the form. He’s already proven at this distance and has displayed both tactical speed and a decent finishing kick.

George Scott’s team have been operating steadily, and with Callum Shepherd back aboard—who knows the horse well—there’s every reason to expect a strong showing. His experience and draw could help him find a more prominent position this time, and if he does, it’ll take a good one to pass him late. This looks a perfect opportunity to confirm that Windsor promise.

14:30 Catterick – Court Of Stars

John Pentin; Sports Journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Among the two-year-olds lining up for this seven-furlong maiden, Court Of Stars stands out as a filly on the rise. Trained by the increasingly respected Ollie Sangster, she’s taken clear strides forward across two outings to date. A promising start at Doncaster saw her finish fourth, just under five lengths behind the winner in a competitive novice. That was followed by a much-improved second at Brighton a fortnight ago, where she stayed on well and was beaten just over a length.

Her profile screams progression, and this represents a logical third step before she tackles bigger assignments. The form of that Brighton race has a solid look, and she’s now had experience of both a turning and a straight track, which will stand her in good stead at Catterick.

Racing in the well-known silks of Nick Bradley Racing, she’s booked Sam James once again—who has been in the winners recently—and this could be the day she breaks her maiden. With no standout on paper among the newcomers and clear development on each appearance so far, Court Of Stars may simply prove too streetwise and battle-hardened for her rivals here.

15:00 Catterick – Magic Box

Steve Harrington; Senior Tipster at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
In the 7f nursery handicap that follows, Magic Box appeals as a filly with the right credentials to step forward again. Sent into handicap company at Newmarket rated 63, she delivered immediately with a smart success. Raised 5lb to a mark of 68, she nearly doubled up five days ago when finishing runner-up at Hamilton, closing late to be denied by just over a length in a six-furlong event.

What’s key here is the return to seven furlongs, which promises to suit her style much better. She’s looked to finish with purpose on both occasions and will appreciate a bit more time to wind up and use her stride. William Haggas has his string in cracking form, operating at a 30% strike-rate in the past fortnight, and Magic Box has already shown herself to be improving within this stable’s typically progressive framework.

Cieren Fallon is back on board and boasts a healthy 24% strike-rate himself—another positive for this filly’s chances. Drawn well, and with soft ground no issue based on her pedigree, she should be able to travel smoothly and strike late. Magic Box is doing everything right and could well be capable of defying another small hike in the weights.

18:40 Naas – Super Sox

Gram Dodd; Irish Racing Correspondent at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
In the Listed Yeomanstown Stud Stakes, Super Sox represents a compelling option for Paddy Twomey’s powerful yard. Despite giving weight to the field, she heads the Timeform weight-adjusted rankings and has already shown she can compete at a higher level. She wrapped up last season with a solid fourth in the Group 3 Renaissance Stakes at the Curragh, where she blew the start but stayed on in eye-catching fashion.

Prior to that, she had recorded a commanding win in a listed event at Cork, proving she has both the class and versatility to perform in this company. Her break since that September run isn’t a worry given how well Twomey’s horses go fresh, and her two wins last year over seven furlongs underline her consistency.

Dropping back to six here could actually sharpen her up, particularly if she breaks cleanly. With the ground described as yielding to soft, her earlier win on heavy in Ireland should stand her in good stead. While her younger stablemate Bonus Time is unexposed, the edge in experience and proven form at this level make Super Sox the one to side with. Shane Foley, a reliable big-race jockey, takes the ride and she looks ready to make a statement.tle inconsistent, that latest display points to a sprinter hitting his stride, and a quick return to action implies that connections want to strike while confidence is high. On balance, this looks like a good opportunity for Speed Of Maajid to turn recent promise into a second career victory.
