Reasoning
Today’s Lucky 15 brings together a quartet of runners who look ideally placed to strike. With progressive juveniles, Listed performers dropping in class, and handicappers on favourable marks, this multiple covers varied ground with serious upside. If each performs to expectations, we could be looking at a big-priced midweek payout.

15:00 Catterick – Shetakesthegold

John Pentin; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Shetakesthegold makes a quick return to the track after finishing runner-up just over a week ago, and she’s one to take seriously off the same official mark. That effort at Lingfield marked her first go in a nursery handicap, and she handled both the rise in class and distance impressively, finding plenty in the closing stages to close the gap late on. She had previously run exclusively over the minimum five furlongs, so this step up to six looked a key factor in her improved showing.

Richard Hannon’s two-year-old filly shaped with promise throughout that contest and wasn’t helped by a slightly awkward start. Back over the same trip, carrying the same weight, and with Alec Voikhansky claiming a handy three pounds again, she’s in a prime position to go one better. Hannon’s juveniles are typically well-prepared for quick turnarounds, and this daughter of Havana Gold appears to have found a race lacking depth. If she runs to a similar level as last time, she should be finishing strongest again, and this time, with a clearer run, she could easily open her account.

18:50 Killarney – Red Letter

Herrin Kendrick; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Red Letter stands out in this Listed mile contest and looks ready to return to the winner’s enclosure for the first time since last summer. Her reappearance this term came in a top-level contest, the Betfred 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, where she travelled sweetly for a long way before tiring late – understandable after more than 200 days off the track.

Subsequently dropped in grade for her next assignment, she came within a neck of Listed success at Navan, only beaten by a filly who has since gone on to Group 3 success. This represents a very similar level on paper but in reality is a less demanding assignment. Her official rating of 107 puts her well clear of her main market rivals, with Gavin Cromwell’s Fiery Lucy rated seven pounds her inferior and lacking consistency.

While others in the field carry potential, including Aidan O’Brien’s Ecstatic, she hasn’t offered much so far this season, and the absence of Ryan Moore suggests she may not be strongly fancied. Red Letter, by contrast, has looked the part in each of her three starts and arrives with strong claims. If running anywhere near her best, she should justify favouritism and secure a Listed victory for Ger Lyons.

3.20 Bath – Call Glory

Gram Dodd; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Call Glory may not jump off the page at first glance, but the context of this 0–55 handicap changes everything. The gelding has been sliding down the weights in recent months and finds himself nine pounds lower than when finishing second in a higher-grade race at Southwell earlier this year. That effort came on the back of a solid run and hinted there was still fire left in the tank.

Since then, his form has tapered off slightly, but a weak Class 6 field and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa suggest that connections sense an opportunity. Ian Williams has his stable operating efficiently at present, and Call Glory is now in the right grade with a clear chance to rediscover some of that earlier promise.

De Sousa’s presence in the saddle could prove significant. A strong front-running rider, he may try to dictate matters from the front or at least ensure the gelding is in a prominent position throughout. This track can favour those that race near the pace, and off this mark, Call Glory is well treated if he can put it all together. He’s certainly worth a chance in a race where few arrive in much form.

21:00 Ffos Las – Warrior Lion

Steve Harrington; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Warrior Lion has had a long wait for his first win, but since moving to Jennie Candlish’s yard, the signs are encouraging. Having struggled to make an impression while trained in Ireland, he was switched to this new stable in March, and the change of scenery appears to be making a difference. His first outing for the yard came over a trip that stretched him, but the latest performance over ten furlongs gave a far more encouraging impression.

Finishing third in a modest Class 6, he stayed on well in the closing stages, which suggests the trip is spot on, and a repeat of that effort could put him right in the mix tonight. The fact that he’s now dropped into a race of limited quality increases his appeal, and he’s now settling better in his races, which wasn’t always the case before.

The opposition doesn’t look overly strong, and Warrior Lion’s latest run suggests he’s turned a corner. If he can build on that effort with similar application, he could finally be poised to get his head in front. It might have taken him 23 attempts to date, but this new environment and ideal trip could be the key to unlocking a long-awaited success.ecent form. The Pug has been knocking on the door and brings proven stamina and consistency to a race where many are guessing. On known form alone, he sets the benchmark. With four wins already to his name on grass, and a return to more suitable circumstances, Spioradalta looks poised to strike again.
