Reasoning
This Friday’s Lucky 15 combines two strong flat bets at Ascot with a jumps selection at Uttoxeter and a tough mare from the north. With a blend of progressive profiles, tactical angles, and class-droppers, the quartet offers balanced value and covers multiple forms of racing – perfect for a confident each-way play.

15:20 Sandown – Orion’s Belt

John Pentin; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
In a field brimming with untapped ability, Orion’s Belt enters this Listed contest at Sandown as the clear standout in terms of form progression and performance figures. Her debut showed glimpses of her raw potential, where despite finishing fourth, her immaturity arguably cost her victory. That race at Salisbury proved a valuable education, and the way she rebounded at Newmarket was telling—blazing a trail from the front and putting daylight between herself and the rest of the field in the closing stages.

The clock backed up what the eye saw, with a strong timefigure suggesting her win wasn’t simply down to favourable race circumstances. More importantly, she is at least three pounds superior to her nearest rival on Timeform’s adjusted ratings, and the attached ‘small p’ signals more to come. She’s well-bred, clearly heading in the right direction, and this step up to black-type company seems the logical next step. From a yard that knows how to develop top-class fillies, she looks to be ahead of the curve compared to her peers. Expect a bold front-running display once again under Sean Levey and a serious effort to remain unbeaten since her learning debut.

7:02 Newbury – Indigo Dawn

Herrin Kendrick; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Indigo Dawn enters her nursery debut with a profile that screams untapped potential. Her first run was a winning one at Goodwood, where she comfortably held off a field that has since thrown up subsequent winners, giving that performance substance. She then took a shot at Royal Ascot in the Albany Stakes—an ambitious move that perhaps came too soon. Nonetheless, that experience will not be lost on her.
Returning to calmer waters here, she steps up to seven furlongs, a trip that looks likely to suit based on how she finished on debut.

Her pedigree suggests she’ll appreciate the extra yardage, and her trainer, Richard Hannon, has an excellent track record with juveniles stepping into nursery company. A mark of 78 doesn’t look harsh, and there’s every chance she’s better than that. Given her early pace and finishing effort when winning, this Newbury test on what could be a sound surface looks tailor-made. David Egan retains the ride, and with the benefit of both experience and a more suitable assignment, she could easily defy the top weight here. There’s every reason to believe she can give the field weight and a beating.

5:40 Yarmouth – Fantasy World

Steve Harrington; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
When looking at unexposed types stepping into handicap company, Fantasy World ticks a lot of boxes. After showing promise on his seasonal reappearance at Windsor over a mile—a trip that was always likely to be a touch sharp—he has since taken positive steps forward. His run back at Windsor over ten furlongs saw him stay on for third behind rivals who have since gone on to contest higher-level races, confirming the form was solid.

The breakthrough came at Ffos Las, where he finally got the conditions and trip to suit. Winning by daylight on soft ground, he left his rivals strung out behind him and travelled with authority throughout. That effort was notable not just for the margin, but for how comfortably he handled the softer surface—his action suggested even slower going would be no issue. He steps into this handicap off a mark of 82, which might not yet reflect his full ability. Trainer Andrew Balding has developed a knack for preparing lightly-raced three-year-olds for middle-distance handicaps, and this appears to be another such project. With no doubts about stamina or ground, and momentum behind him, Fantasy World looks poised to go in again.

8:40 Yarmouth – Wave Rider

Gram Dodd; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Lightly raced and clearly progressive, Wave Rider brings an attractive profile into this closing contest at Yarmouth. His run in the London Gold Cup at Newbury was an eye-catching one—he stayed on well in sixth in a deep and competitive handicap, and the form has already been boosted. That day, he was racing off a mark 5lb lower than now, but his recent novice win at Sandown has earned him that rise. He took that race with authority, travelling smoothly and putting the result to bed with a turn of foot that marked him out as well ahead of his opening mark.

What makes him even more interesting is his sole previous run at Yarmouth, where he finished close behind Sallaal, now rated 103. That effort came on soft ground, and Wave Rider proved he could handle testing conditions without compromising his finish. As the only three-year-old in this field, he receives a weight-for-age allowance, which could be crucial over this trip. His trainer continues to get the best out of improving types, and with each run he’s looked more professional. With ground, course, and form all aligned, he should take plenty of beating in what looks a winnable affair.o side with. Shane Foley, a reliable big-race jockey, takes the ride and she looks ready to make a statement.tle inconsistent, that latest display points to a sprinter hitting his stride, and a quick return to action implies that connections want to strike while confidence is high. On balance, this looks like a good opportunity for Speed Of Maajid to turn recent promise into a second career victory.
