Horse Racing Accumulator Tips: Wednesday September 24 – Can Bonnie’s Boy, Burgundy Man and Pescatorius Deliver Big Returns?

Midweek racing on Wednesday brings competitive cards across the UK, and our team at BettingTips4You have pooled together three carefully considered selections to form today’s horse racing accumulator. With attention divided between Perth’s jumps card and the Flat action at Redcar, each of our experts has chosen one horse they believe is primed to deliver.

The three horses chosen—Bonnie’s Boy, Burgundy Man, and Pescatorius—all come into their respective races with reasons to be optimistic, either through conditions, form lines, or tactical advantages. Our experts John Pentin, Herrin Kendrick and Gram Dodd each provide their rationale, giving readers a deeper understanding of why these selections stand out in their fields.

Reasoning
Our Wednesday Accumulator combines three well-reasoned selections across Perth and Redcar. Bonnie’s Boy takes a drop in grade, Burgundy Man gets the ideal trip with a new jockey, and Pescatorius finds a very winnable handicap. Together, they offer balance, value and strong prospects of turning this bet into profit.

16:50 Perth – Pescatorius

Gram Dodd; National Hunt Specialist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
In this modest Class 5 handicap hurdle, Pescatorius appeals as a horse who can finally piece everything together. Now under the guidance of Olly Murphy, having switched yards from Harriet Dickin in June, this six-year-old gelding has shaped with potential despite not yet managing to get his nose in front.

His most recent effort at Fontwell, where he finished third, did not see him travel particularly comfortably, but that track is often testing for horses who prefer a smoother rhythm. Go back a little further and his runs at both Uttoxeter and Hexham were much more encouraging, suggesting ability is there waiting to be unlocked. Murphy is a trainer renowned for finding improvement in new recruits, and with Sean Bowen taking the reins, confidence levels rise further.

This step back into a less demanding handicap should suit perfectly, and the long journey north signals intent from the stable. With conditions looking fine and Bowen’s tactical awareness likely to keep him in the right spot, Pescatorius looks to have been found an excellent opportunity to break through.

17:25 Perth – Burgundy Man

Herrin Kendrick; Racing Analyst at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
The feature staying handicap hurdle at Perth brings together a fascinating line-up, but Burgundy Man has strong claims of finally shedding his maiden tag. Despite being winless in 20 outings, his consistency of late has been commendable. He has finished in the places on each of his last five starts, gradually edging closer to a breakthrough.

Last time here at Perth, he was beaten little more than a length in a shorter contest, sticking on resolutely without quite managing to overhaul the leaders. The return to 3m this afternoon could make all the difference, as he has shown on several occasions that stamina is one of his stronger assets.

An intriguing aspect today is the booking of Richie McLernon, who rides Burgundy Man for the first time. A change of jockey can often spark an extra gear, and with his current mark looking workable, the combination of trip, rider and recent form may finally allow him to go one better. Trainer R Mike Smith has clearly found a rhythm with this horse, and if he can repeat or improve on his last run, Burgundy Man holds a major chance of getting his overdue win.

16:35 Redcar – Bonnie’s Boy

John Pentin; Sports Journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Dropping down in class, Bonnie’s Boy looks well-placed to strike in this 7f handicap at Redcar. His recent run at Doncaster came in a stronger race than today’s, and he emerged with plenty of credit, finishing only half a length behind the well-supported winner Lethal Nymph. That effort highlighted his competitiveness at a higher level, and this easier company provides a clear opportunity.

Earlier in the summer, he had gone close at York when finishing third off a slightly higher mark, showing that he has the raw ability to mix it in decent handicaps. Now eased a pound lower, he carries a weight that looks favourable, and conditions should not inconvenience him. The three-year-old also benefits from the useful 5lb claim of Warren Fentiman, further enhancing his prospects.

Given the drop in grade and the evidence of his recent form, Bonnie’s Boy shapes as a major player. If he reproduces his Doncaster effort, there’s every reason to believe he can go one better here and finally get his reward for consistency.s, he will take plenty of stopping and finally gain the success that has narrowly eluded him.
