Reasoning
Blenheim Star thrives at Brighton and retains the same mark after a luckless third, Charlie Brow’n shaped like a stayer at Killarney and steps up in trip, while Jeudidee’s form has been repeatedly boosted. Combining course specialists, progressive types and ideal conditions makes this Sunday accumulator highly compelling and well-founded.

15:30 Catterick – Rose Of Spain

John Pentin; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
There was plenty to admire about Rose Of Spain on her first day at the races, and that initial run should have sharpened her up for this second attempt. Her debut came at Haydock just over two weeks ago, where she looked green early but stayed on impressively in the final furlong to take second spot, showing a smart turn of foot once the penny dropped.

Trained by Richard Hughes, who’s enjoying a golden spell after landing a shock Group 1 win with No Half Measures, this daughter of Phoenix Of Spain carries the well-known Jaber Abdullah colours and certainly has the pedigree and connections to progress. It’s telling that William Buick was trusted with the ride on debut, and now the equally talented Danny Tudhope takes over, further strengthening her credentials.

She now faces a field that lacks strength in depth, and with her racecourse experience, she holds a crucial edge over most of her rivals. Add to that the likelihood of improvement second time out, and it’s not hard to see why she’s expected to justify favouritism. Backing her today feels like a logical move for those seeking a reliable leg in the acca.

16:30 Catterick – Wheels Of Fire

Herrin Kendrick; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Wheels Of Fire has been gradually working his way back to peak form, and today’s conditions at Catterick offer an ideal opportunity to capitalise. This three-year-old, trained by Richard Hannon and owned by Fitri Hay, has now raced nine times, scoring once on the all-weather over five furlongs at Lingfield last year. While that win came over the minimum trip, he’s proven to be versatile, and today’s six-furlong journey looks his optimum based on how he’s shaped of late.

Last time out, he ran creditably over five but didn’t quite have the room to unleash his full stride. The switch back up to six furlongs, combined with a slight drop in his official mark, brings him back into a winnable bracket. His rating of 79 is just one pound lower than his previous effort, but when factoring in Alec Voikhansky’s three-pound claim, he’s effectively running off 76, which gives him a major chance.

He may not have won in handicaps yet, but his figures suggest he’s more than capable of doing so at this level. Having already competed against stronger opposition earlier in the season, today’s Class 4 event looks a better fit. If he can settle early and find rhythm, he’s likely to finish off strongly in what looks a very winnable race.

18:40 Yarmouth – Arctic Wind

Gram Dodd; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Arctic Wind created a favourable impression on his racecourse debut and looks primed to make further progress now dropping down in trip. The colt, trained by David Menuisier, caught the eye over six furlongs at Salisbury when setting a strong pace and sticking on well for fourth behind a smart type in Factual. He showed bags of speed that day, and the way he raced prominently suggests a sharper five furlongs might just be his sweet spot at this stage of his development.

That was his only career outing so far, but the signs were promising. He led for a good portion of the race, and while he faded late, that’s more likely due to inexperience and race-fitness than any stamina concerns. With that initial effort under his belt, he’ll return sharper, and the drop to the minimum trip looks like a smart adjustment by the yard.

Jockey Kieran Shoemark retains the ride and is likely to use the colt’s natural pace to good effect on the flat, fast track at Yarmouth. The early signs are that Arctic Wind has the tools to pick up a novice contest of this nature, and he may well prove too quick for these with a cleaner, more efficient run second time up. There’s definite value in siding with him before the market fully catches up to his potential.r question marks than several of his rivals and the confidence of a last-time-out victory, Ziggy’s Triton looks like one firmly on the up and ready to go in again.
