Sunday’s three-fold horse racing accumulator brings together a pair of Pontefract runners trained by in-form yards and a progressive chaser at Uttoxeter. With all three horses well-suited by course and race conditions, and each bringing either strong form or key tactical edges, this acca offers a well-balanced mix of consistency, class, and upside.

Reasoning Blenheim Star thrives at Brighton and retains the same mark after a luckless third, Charlie Brow’n shaped like a stayer at Killarney and steps up in trip, while Jeudidee’s form has been repeatedly boosted. Combining course specialists, progressive types and ideal conditions makes this Sunday accumulator highly compelling and well-founded. |
15:25 Pontefract – Time Tells All
John Pentin; Sports Journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Time Tells All looked like a horse firmly on the up when cruising to a clear-cut win at Beverley on his most recent outing, and all the evidence points to another strong showing in this competitive 1m2f handicap at Pontefract. The three-length margin of victory was visually impressive, but it’s the clock that really tells the story—the time of the race was notably strong for the level, a clear sign that the win wasn’t just down to circumstance.
Only one runner has come out of that contest since, and that horse—Berkshire Phantom—won next time out, giving substance to the strength of the form. A 6lb hike in the weights doesn’t look overly harsh in the context of how easily Time Tells All disposed of his rivals last time. A stiff, galloping track such as Pontefract looks ideal for his strong-staying profile, and being a half-brother to Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Homeless Songs, he is bred to handle a step up in class. Everything suggests that he has further improvement to come and, with the track and trip in his favour, he can take another step forward here.

16:25 Pontefract – Ventura Express
Herrin Kendrick; BettingTips4You Tipster & Racing Trends Analyst
Rationale:
Ventura Express may be advancing in years, but he continues to show that he retains all of his competitive spirit and sprinting power. He lines up in this 5f sprint with one of the strongest course records in the field, having recorded four of his career wins at Pontefract. The layout of this course—undulating with a stiff uphill finish—has consistently brought out the best in him, and with conditions to suit, he looks primed for another bold effort.
Last time out at Beverley, he was second to Emeralds Pride after being caught in traffic at a crucial stage. That winner has since advertised the form by placing at Ascot, and Ventura Express, who finished just over a length behind despite the trouble, could easily have reversed the outcome with a clear passage. Paul Midgley, who trains both Ventura Express and his stablemate Elegant Erin, has an outstanding record in this race and arrives here with the ‘Hot Trainer’ tag thanks to a recent run of success. With the yard firing, course form in his favour, and a mark that still gives him room to manoeuvre, Ventura Express has a huge chance of going one better this time around.
15:37 Uttoxeter – Keel Strand
Gram Dodd; Jump Racing Analyst at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Keel Strand is shaping into a very promising staying chaser and appears to have turned a real corner since undergoing wind surgery. Now unbeaten in three outings since that procedure, he arrives at Uttoxeter with momentum and a profile that suggests he’s still improving. Two of those wins came in handicaps, and it’s the most recent that catches the eye—he won with authority, seeing off a good rival in Impecunious, who then franked the form by winning next time out from a slightly higher rating.
What makes Keel Strand particularly dangerous here is his ability to travel sweetly and find generously off the bridle. He stays well, jumps with fluency, and seems to have matured into a horse who knows how to win. The configuration of Uttoxeter is unlikely to pose him any problems, and although the handicapper has had a say, there is enough in his recent performances to suggest he can cope with the rise in weight. This five-year-old still feels unexposed and should be capable of taking this next step with confidence. Provided he reproduces the level shown in his recent outings, he’ll be tough to beat in a race that doesn’t appear to be brimming with depth.
