Saturday’s programme spans some of the most intriguing contests on both sides of the Irish Sea, with Group company at the Curragh, a sprint handicap at Chester and an ultra-competitive handicap to open proceedings at Sandown. The weather has softened several tracks in Britain, adding a further layer of complexity for punters, while at Chester, stall positions and early speed remain critical factors. Across the water at the Curragh, the Snow Fairy Stakes provides a genuine test of depth amongst fillies seeking Group-level credibility, and the form lines intersect neatly.
Our BettingTips4You panel have each taken one race, weighing up ground conditions, draw dynamics, trainer intent and recent performances to put together a three-leg horse racing accumulator. John Pentin tackles the Irish Group 3, Herrin Kendrick focuses on Chester’s sharp five furlongs, and Gram Dodd dissects a tricky seven-furlong Sandown handicap. The aim is not quantity but a carefully chosen treble that blends value with realistic chances.

Reasoning This accumulator blends a progressive Group 3 filly in Barnavara, a well-drawn Chester sprinter in Kinswoman, and a handicapping opportunity for Kindest Nation at Sandown. Each represents strong value based on current conditions and profiles. Together, they create a realistic treble with genuine scope for profit. |
15:27 Curragh – Barnavara
John Pentin; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Barnavara arrives in peak condition, chasing a hat-trick after smart wins at Navan and Naas. The Navan performance showed grit and ability, especially as she accounted for Red Letter, who reappears here as market leader. That rival has been trimmed into 9/4, yet Barnavara has already proved she can get the better of her.

More telling was her Naas Group 3 success, where she dismissed a highly regarded Juddmonte filly, sent off at odds-on, by a length. That cemented her place as a filly operating above her initial mark and highlighted how much she is improving run by run. Jessie Harrington clearly has her thriving, and the Calyx filly’s progression has been steep across her last two outings.
The current odds underestimate her chance of confirming superiority over Red Letter, and her turn of foot looks perfectly suited to how this contest is likely to be run. She is in the form of her life, and the case for her extending the winning streak is very strong.
16:25 Chester – Kinswoman
Herrin Kendrick; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Kinswoman finally shed her maiden tag at Windsor earlier this month, and the manner of that success suggested she has more to offer now confidence is intact. She had shown hints of ability before, but this was the first time everything clicked, and the drop to five furlongs clearly unlocked improvement.
Chester’s sprint track strongly favours those who are both well drawn and capable of racing prominently. She ticks both boxes: drawn in stall one and naturally inclined to press forward. That combination has often been decisive around this tight, turning circuit, and it places her in the ideal spot from flagfall.
Pedigree points to further potential too. She is a half-sister to Audience, a Group 1 performer, so the raw materials are there for her to progress beyond handicaps in time. With William Haggas operating at a strike-rate pushing 28% in recent weeks, and Cieren Fallon likely to adopt aggressive tactics, she looks tailor-made for this test. If allowed to stride on, she could be very hard to pass.
13:50 Sandown – Kindest Nation
Gram Dodd; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:
Kindest Nation comes into the opening handicap at Sandown with plenty to prove, but also plenty in her favour now the cards have shifted. Her last four runs have been disappointing, but context matters. One of those came in Group 3 company, another in the melee of a 23-runner Royal Ascot handicap, while at Chester last time she effectively lost her race at the start by giving away over ten lengths.
The handicapper has reacted by dropping her 8lb, a significant concession, and conditions are turning her way. The rain has softened the ground, echoing the cut she relished last autumn when she scored at both Haydock and Chester before getting close to Listed calibre rivals at Redcar. That period showed she thrives on softer surfaces and that her ceiling may still be higher than her current mark.
Now back in a handicap, with stall three and Clifford Lee aboard, she looks poised for a revival. She may not need to find her absolute best to hit the frame at a current double-figure price, and if her break is cleaner, she has a live chance of a big run.ance of a big run.
