Horse Racing Accumulator Tips: Monday July 21 – Princess Rascal, Mukhtalif and Izzari Could Be the Winning Combo

As the summer season presses on, Monday’s cards provide an excellent opportunity to strike early in the week with a well-balanced horse racing accumulator. July 21 sees action from Ayr and Windsor, where several lightly raced contenders look ready to confirm their potential. We’ve sifted through the form, the pedigree angles, and the current momentum of yards and jockeys to bring you three compelling selections.

Each of these horses represents something slightly different — one is stepping into handicaps after a striking maiden win, another returns with high expectations after a promising debut, and the third drops into a winnable contest off a generous rating with ideal conditions in her favour. Our trio of experts — John Pentin, Herrin Kendrick, and Gram Dodd — have each provided one selection for this treble, with clear reasoning to support why they believe their pick is the one to beat.

Let’s look at the case for each horse in this Monday accumulator.

Reasoning
This treble blends proven form with future potential. River of Joy aims for a rapid follow-up win at Cartmel, Mukhtalif looks primed for a breakthrough at Windsor, and Izzari finds himself in ideal race conditions at Ayr. All three have solid claims and together create a well-balanced, high-upside accumulator for Monday.

16:05 Ayr – Izzari

Herrin Kendrick; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:

There are few horses lining up on Monday carrying as much latent ability as Izzari, who contests the 4.05 at Ayr over a mile. Since storming home from the rear to win going away at Musselburgh in April — a performance full of style and strength — this four-year-old has endured a few defeats that don’t reflect his talent. Things simply haven’t aligned for him since, but that might be about to change.

After changing hands for €150,000 and joining Joseph O’Brien, he made a big impression with two eye-catching wins, including a barnstorming final-furlong burst at Newcastle. At Musselburgh, he came from stone last to score by over a length — a run that hinted he was far better than a 66-rated handicapper.

Since then, his form has dipped, but explanations are easy to find. He’s had unsuitably run races, and conditions have often been against him. Now dropped to a mark of 70, and with Ayr’s mile layout likely to favour a late closer like him, the scene is set. There’s solid early pace in this race, with Penelope’s Sister expected to go forward, which will allow Izzari to be switched off early and delivered late. If he replicates the turn of foot shown in his best runs, he can go very close here.

18:40 Windsor – Mukhtalif

John Pentin; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:

It’s always wise to take notice when a promising type from the Haggas yard reappears after a solid debut, and Mukhtalif is precisely that profile in the 6.40 at Windsor. He wasn’t far away when third at Nottingham on his racecourse bow over ten furlongs and looked every inch a colt who will improve rapidly for that experience.

Slow into stride and somewhat clueless when asked to quicken two furlongs out, Mukhtalif never really got organised until it was too late, yet still managed to finish a close-up third. Importantly, he was never given a hard time, suggesting that connections were treating it as a learning opportunity rather than a competitive outing.

With Jim Crowley back in the saddle and the Haggas team firing at an impressive strike rate, this son of Muhaarar is expected to come forward considerably. The Windsor track, with its slightly easier turn and downhill run-in, could suit him better, allowing his natural class to take over without needing to be fully wound up.

Expect sharper gate behaviour, a more timed finishing run, and greater tactical awareness from both horse and rider. If he’s learned from his first experience, Mukhtalif may well justify favouritism and take this novice contest with a bit in hand.

19:40 Windsor – Princess Rascal

Gram Dodd; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You
Rationale:

Princess Rascal runs in Windsor’s 7.40 fillies’ handicap and looks a strong contender to give Oliver Cole back-to-back wins since taking out his sole training licence. This three-year-old filly shaped very well when breaking her maiden at Salisbury in May, a win that hinted at plenty more to come. Although she finished at the rear on debut at Ascot, that race featured well-regarded types and she was only two lengths behind the winner — an effort that deserved more recognition.

On her second outing, she stepped up to 1m2f and the increased trip brought out clear improvement. Despite racing off the bridle earlier than her rivals, she found plenty when asked and surged past the leader with authority. That late effort suggested she’s crying out for stamina tests, and there’s every chance this distance is just the start of her potential.

What’s also notable is her performance on the clock. Her Salisbury win earned her the Sectional Flag, indicating she recorded one of the strongest finishing bursts of the race. Now entering handicaps off a fair mark of 77, she appears to be extremely well-treated based on what she’s shown so far. With Rossa Ryan booked again and the yard riding a wave of confidence, Princess Rascal is one to keep firmly on side.
