Monday’s Bundesliga relegation playoff second leg looks set to explode once again, as Heidenheim visit Elversberg with the aggregate score at 2-2. The reverse fixture saw the visitors recover from a woeful first half, adjusting their tactics after the break to devastating effect. Frank Schmidt’s men generated five clear chances after the restart and grabbed two goals that may yet define their survival.
Elversberg’s opening dominance in that first leg showed they are far from shy in attack. Four big opportunities in the first 45 minutes should have yielded more than two goals. Their downfall, however, lies at the other end. Defensively shaky and without a clean sheet in six of their last seven, they continue to crumble under sustained pressure.
Heidenheim bring more experience and momentum. Pieringer and Honsak up front have rediscovered scoring form, and with Bundesliga status on the line, the visitors are unlikely to sit back. Their ability to respond under pressure is significant—this is a team who’ve scored as many goals in their last three matches as they did in the previous nine.

Relegation playoffs can bring out the fight in even the most fragile teams—and Ross County are no strangers to these do-or-die scenarios. Dingwall, their fortress in recent playoff battles, has seen this team come alive. Their last two playoff home legs ended in 3-1 and 4-0 wins. This is no coincidence—County have a habit of finding something extra in front of their home faithful.

In Brazil’s Serie A, few venues have been as formidable in recent weeks as Bragantino’s Estadio Nabi Abi Chedid. The home side have posted four clean sheets in their last five fixtures here, but when they do concede, they often do so while still finding a way to win.
Bragantino will look to bounce back from a frustrating 2-1 defeat to league leaders Palmeiras—a game where they took the lead before letting it slip in the closing stages. This marked their first loss from a winning position this season, but Fernando Seabra’s side have shown resilience after setbacks, and a home fixture against leaky Juventude could be the ideal response.
Juventude arrive off the back of a draw against Fluminense, halting a three-game losing streak. Claudio Tencati’s early days as manager have brought some structure, but the team are still poor away from home—16 goals conceded in four road games says it all.
Despite their problems, Juventude have managed to find the net first in several matches, only to collapse later. That fragility is key here: they could get on the scoresheet but are unlikely to hold off Bragantino’s superior attacking setup.
Gabriel remains a major threat for the hosts, and his early strike against Palmeiras last week was a reminder of the quality in their front line.
