Both Teams to Score and Over 3.5 Total Goals
There’s absolutely no reason to expect anything less than another end-to-end encounter. The first leg had four goals, and the signs point towards similar chaos unfolding in Valencia. Defensively, both camps have issues. Spain are without Cubarsi and the introduction of Huijsen—though promising—adds a layer of unpredictability. The Netherlands, already vulnerable at the back, now have to cope without Hato and Timber, with Geertruida and Van Hecke likely to deputise. That doesn’t exactly scream “clean sheet”.
In attack, both nations are stacked. Spain will look to Alvaro Morata’s leadership up top, while the flair of Lamine Yamal and the pace of Nico Williams offer serious danger on the flanks. As for the Netherlands, the trio of Memphis Depay, Cody Gakpo and Xavi Simons are all capable of unlocking a defence in seconds. Add to that the fact that six of the Netherlands’ last nine Nations League matches have gone over 3.5 goals, and we’ve got the perfect cocktail for a high-scoring game.

Nico Williams to Have 1+ Shots on Target
Williams was one of the brightest sparks in the first leg. He opened the scoring in Rotterdam and has been in electric form since the turn of the year. Playing with full confidence and immense pace, the Athletic Bilbao winger has been a nightmare to contain. He registered two braces recently—against Roma in Europe and Valladolid domestically—and looks like a player enjoying his football at the moment.
Given that he’ll be up against a makeshift Dutch defence, the odds are heavily in his favour to at least test the goalkeeper. Geertruida, likely filling in as an emergency full-back, will have his hands full, and Williams will look to exploit that mismatch time and again.
With at least six goals in his last seven appearances across competitions, it’s fair to assume Williams won’t go missing in a game of this magnitude. He’s been given licence to shoot on sight and will almost certainly get opportunities.
