Newcastle -1 Asian Handicap

Newcastle’s visit to the King Power Stadium comes at the perfect time for Eddie Howe’s side, who have rediscovered rhythm and resilience. A two-goal margin of victory for the Magpies doesn’t look far-fetched, especially when factoring in Leicester’s ongoing crisis. The Foxes have lost 14 of their previous 15 league games, a run which includes a humiliating 4-0 reverse at the hands of Newcastle earlier this season. More concerning for the home side, 12 of those losses have come by a deficit of at least two goals.

Even with a few injury concerns for Newcastle – including the absence of Sven Botman, Jamaal Lascelles and Lewis Hall – the squad’s structure and cohesion have remained intact. Howe’s men showed their depth in a professional 2-1 win over Brentford midweek and look more than capable of punishing teams lacking organisation. In contrast, Leicester’s defence has resembled a leaking tap, conceding seven without reply in their last two home matches. That includes a 3-0 loss to Manchester United and a 4-0 defeat against Brentford – both fixtures showing just how fragile Leicester are once they go behind.

There are also signs of internal unrest, with reports suggesting Harry Winks has been sidelined following a disagreement with the manager. That kind of off-field disharmony only adds to the on-pitch vulnerability. Add Newcastle’s ruthless record against struggling sides – with six wins in as many games versus the current bottom four – and the logic for a comfortable away victory becomes even stronger. The -1 Asian Handicap, which sees your stake refunded if the Magpies win by just one, offers a measured route into the market with the potential for full payout.

Alexander Isak to Score Anytime

Alexander Isak has firmly established himself as Newcastle’s most consistent attacking threat. The Swedish forward has netted in five of his last five outings, his most recent strike coming in the win against Brentford. Not only does he bring clinical finishing, but his movement and positioning are a nightmare for defenders – particularly those as disjointed as Leicester’s backline.

His scoring form against Leicester is another key indicator. Isak found the net in the reverse fixture and has shown a knack for producing in games where Newcastle dominate territory and possession – both of which are likely scenarios here. While Kieran Trippier and Anthony Gordon are fitness concerns, Isak continues to thrive regardless of who starts alongside him.

Leicester have looked increasingly helpless when faced with pace and power, and Isak brings both in abundance. Their central defenders have been pulled out of position with ease in recent matches, and their lack of composure under pressure is well-documented. If Isak is given even a sniff at goal, history suggests he’ll take it.

With 20 Premier League goals already to his name this term, and given Newcastle’s strong attacking momentum, backing Isak to score once more looks a smart addition to any bet builder.

Reasoning
Newcastle are overwhelming favourites against a Leicester side in freefall. Backing the visitors on a -1 Asian Handicap adds value. Isak is in lethal form and looks primed to find the net again, while Joelinton’s aggressive style makes him a likely candidate to end up in the referee’s book.

Joelinton to Receive a Booking

Joelinton’s transformation under Eddie Howe has been impressive, but his physical style of play continues to make him a yellow card magnet. With nine bookings in the current Premier League campaign – averaging one every 239 minutes – the Brazilian is always flirting with the referee’s notepad. One of those cards came against Leicester in their previous meeting, further fuelling the belief that he’s prone to ill-timed tackles in these matchups.

Deployed as a combative midfielder, Joelinton’s role involves breaking up play and disrupting the opposition’s rhythm. Against a Leicester side likely to be chasing the game, his defensive workload will only increase. The likes of Wilfred Ndidi and Soumare offer little threat going forward but are not shy of drawing fouls in midfield duels. With the game expected to be physical and potentially scrappy, the chances of Joelinton receiving his tenth yellow card of the season seem high.

Additionally, the pressure on Newcastle to keep their top-four hopes alive adds intensity to each game, and Joelinton is never one to hold back. In matches where Newcastle have held the lead, his aggression has often boiled over – either to protect the result or simply through overcommitment in challenges. Against a side with nothing to lose, that combative edge might be even sharper.
