The main tour ATP is back with two 250 level hard court tournaments this week, followed by a break to allow players to get to Australia and get ready for the Australian Open. Since the location of this event is very far from Australia, it is not surprising to see that some of the top players have decided to skip this ATP Antalya tournament. So we do have a weakened field, with many Challenger Tour players in search of main tour exposure.

It is challenging to predict conditions in Antalya as the tournament was played on grass between 2017 and 2019 and this is the first Antalya Open on hard court. So we have treated as an average hardcourt tournament. Italian Matteo Berrettini is the favourite, and he is followed by Alex De Minaur and David Goffin. Looking at the conditions, De Minaur looks the best value here as he been outstanding in the last 18 months on this surface, despite a very late dip.
He will take on out of form Nikoloz Basilashvili in the third quarter which is packed with Challenger players so it will be a surprise if he can’t make it at least to the semi-finals. Berrettini has a decent opportunity with this weak field, but he hasn’t been consistent in the last year, and we don’t see any value in backing him to go all the way.
