1. Alex Supreme – Best odds: 10/1 – Bet365

K R Burke’s juvenile debutante enters the scene with solid credentials. Though untested, the daughter of a sharp sprinter looks primed to show early promise. Clifford Lee is an encouraging booking, and the yard often readies its newcomers well at this venue.
Bookmaker to back: Bet365
Our View: A lively outsider worth watching on debut, but may need this first run for experience.

2. Blue Nguru – Best odds: 11/8 – Bet365

Archie Watson’s charge caught the eye on debut, finding only one too strong when sent off favourite. She’s likely to benefit from that outing and Hollie Doyle retains the ride, which is a major plus. Likely front-runner with proven ability already.
Bookmaker to back: Bet365
Our View: Sets a solid standard here and should be tough to beat, though value may be limited.

3. Impalaka – Best odds: 14/1 – BetMGM

This Adrian Keatley-trained youngster represents a yard that knows how to pop up with a maiden winner at a price. Sam James takes the reins, and while a big run would be a surprise on paper, there are some positives in the pedigree.
Bookmaker to back: BetMGM
Our View: Would need to outrun expectations, but an improved showing wouldn’t shock completely.

4. Indigo Sierra – Best odds: 33/1 – Betvictor

Iain Jardine’s filly looks up against it on her first visit to the track. With limited stable momentum and an inexperienced jockey aboard, this may prove more of a learning exercise.
Bookmaker to back: Betvictor
Our View: Has plenty to prove and others appeal more on paper; outsider with low expectations.

5. March Ahead – Best odds: 10/1 – Bet365

Kevin Ryan’s representative has shown flashes in her work and could go well if bringing it to the track. Kevin Stott’s presence in the saddle is notable, and the yard can ready one for this type of contest.
Bookmaker to back: Bet365
Our View: A plausible contender for place money; watch the betting for late market confidence.

6. Midnight Tango – Best odds: 3/1 – Betvictor

Ed Walker’s filly showed plenty of raw speed on debut, sticking on gamely to take a respectable third. Paul Mulrennan keeps the ride, and she’s expected to come forward significantly from that effort.
Bookmaker to back: Betvictor
Our View: Among the more appealing types on known form; could make the leap into the winner’s circle.

Verdict

Blue Nguru appears the most reliable on form and should command respect with experience on her side, but Midnight Tango looks the one with scope to improve most dramatically. With one run under her belt and signs of natural pace, she’s selected to cause a minor upset. Of the newcomers, March Ahead appeals most as a dark horse, while Impalaka may surprise if sharp enough early.

1. Balayaged (Top odds: 12/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Charlie Johnston | Jockey: Andrew Mullen
Still relatively unexposed, this son of a smart sire didn’t make much impact last season but may have strengthened over the break. He’s one to watch if stamina becomes a factor.

2. Obito (Top odds: 11/2 – bet365)
Trainer: David O’Meara | Jockey: Daniel Tudhope
Has performed consistently and enters on a competitive mark. The draw is ideal, and connections are in good form. Could have a major say if able to dictate the early tempo.

3. A War Eagle (Top odds: 7/2 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Edward Bethell | Jockey: Callum Rodriguez
Plenty of support around this one, and for good reason. Strong efforts in defeat show he’s knocking on the door. If he settles early, could be right in the frame.

4. Moutai (Top odds: 3/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Ed Walker | Jockey: Paul Mulrennan
Returns with promising credentials and a clear fitness edge. Should improve off his seasonal reappearance and brings a touch of class into this contest.

5. Cymbidium (Top odds: 12/1 – BetMGM)
Trainer: David O’Meara | Jockey: Kevin Stott
Possesses good form from last term but ran flat last time out. If bouncing back to earlier promise, could be a lively outsider with a strong late run.

6. Springbok (Top odds: 7/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Richard Fahey | Jockey: Billy Garritty
Often runs with enthusiasm, though hasn’t quite put it all together this season. If things click today, could be capable of surprising a few better-fancied rivals.

7. Impartiality (Top odds: 4/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Phillip Makin | Jockey: Shane Gray
Scored smartly last time out and appears to be on an upward curve. Might still have a bit in hand from this mark and looks well-placed to go close again.

8. Say What You See (Top odds: 33/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Liam Bailey | Jockey: David Allan
Well below par on seasonal return and has plenty to prove now. That said, the price reflects the risk and connections may be hoping for a bounce-back surprise.

9. Sands Of Indi (Top odds: 12/1 – bet365)
Trainer: K R Burke | Jockey: Sam James
Struggled to land a blow in recent starts but wasn’t disgraced. If blinkers have a positive effect today, could come on for that and sneak into the reckoning.

10. Unforgetable Belle (Top odds: 12/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Alice Haynes | Jockey: Kieran O’Neill
Flashed potential last term with a narrow win and ran respectably on reappearance. Still lightly raced, and it wouldn’t be a shock if she progressed again.

11. Sure And Stedfast (Top odds: 25/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Ewan Whillans | Jockey: Rowan Scott
Yet to put his stamp on the form book but not entirely without merit. Would need a significant step forward, though soft ground or a strong pace could suit.

12. Top Bins (Top odds: 20/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer | Jockey: David Probert
Finished well beaten on return and will need to find plenty to be competitive here. Still, he’s not without scope if given a more patient ride this time around.

Verdict

A fascinating puzzle, and while Moutai leads the market with good reason, the value may lie elsewhere. Impartiality arrives in peak condition and is still open to improvement. A War Eagle remains a consistent type likely to figure prominently again, and Obito could make use of an advantageous draw.

1. Swift Salian (Best odds: 9/4 – bet365)
Trainer: David & Nicola Barron | Jockey: Callum Rodriguez
This runner shaped encouragingly when runner-up last time and clearly thrives in this company. His early pace and front-running style could be a decisive edge in a field lacking standout closers.

2. Al MudhaffarNon-Runner
Trainer: Charlie Fellowes | Jockey:
No longer participating.

3. Arkenstaar (Best odds: 7/2 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Michael Dods | Jockey: Connor Beasley
Has the advantage of previous course success and signs of returning to form. With cheekpieces re-applied and a solid recent effort, he must be respected on this type of track.

4. Blufferonthebus (Best odds: 8/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Craig Lidster | Jockey: Sam James
Lacks consistency but certainly capable of making a bold bid on his day. If he can find more rhythm in running, he might cause problems at a rewarding price.

5. Harswell DukeNon-Runner
Trainer: Liam Bailey | Jockey:
Withdrawn from today’s race.

6. Spun To Gold (Best odds: 12/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Jim Goldie | Jockey: Paul Mulrennan
Recent performances haven’t been up to scratch, but with a good draw and better underfoot conditions, he may show more here. Has ability on his best form and is no forlorn hope.

7. Dingwall (Best odds: 6/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Iain Jardine | Jockey: Rowan Scott
Showed glimpses of returning to something like his best when last seen and should improve for that outing. Potential to figure if the pace unfolds to suit his running style.

8. Ayr Poet (Best odds: 4/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Jim Goldie | Jockey: Lauren Young (7lb claimer)
Veteran of the game who still has a strong turn of foot. With the benefit of a claimer’s allowance and decent recent efforts, he’s one to keep firmly on side at this level.

9. Bellasio (Best odds: 16/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Grant Tuer | Jockey: Oliver Stammers
Didn’t fire on return to action but is entitled to strip fitter here. Market interest could be telling, and he’s got the profile of one who may surprise if everything clicks.

10. Jaminoz (Best odds: 14/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Lucinda Russell | Jockey: Clifford Lee
Outsider with a few fair pieces of form, including over course and distance. Needs to better his latest effort but wouldn’t be the first from this yard to bounce back unexpectedly.

11. Jannas Journey (Best odds: 50/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Jim Goldie | Jockey: Amie Waugh
Faces a tough challenge here with limited form to draw confidence from. Connections likely running for experience, and big odds reflect his standing.

Verdict

This contest looks well within reach for Swift Salian, who arrives in top condition and appears primed to make his mark. Arkenstaar is no back number and poses the most serious threat with past C&D credentials. Dingwall could also get involved if allowed to settle mid-pack and deliver late.

1. Lord Roxby (Best odds: 7/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Nigel Tinkler | Jockey: Rowan Scott
Has already demonstrated speed at this level, though his last few attempts were slightly underwhelming. A low draw could assist if he gets out smartly and grabs a handy position.

2. Dothan (Best odds: 15/8 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Edward Bethell | Jockey: Callum Rodriguez
Recently opened his account in style and arrives in good heart. He’s improving with each run and looks well treated off this revised mark. Big chance of a follow-up.

3. Mr Cool (Best odds: 12/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Charlie Johnston | Jockey: Andrew Mullen
Capable of strong performances on his day, though was disappointing on latest start. Shouldn’t be dismissed entirely if allowed to dictate matters early.

4. Mae Amor (Best odds: 7/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: David O’Meara | Jockey: Daniel Tudhope
Always gives her running and placed solidly on seasonal return. Backed that up with a good prep, and she’s likely to remain competitive with the visor retained.

5. Actin Like A Diva (Best odds: 50/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Jim Goldie | Jockey: Paul Mulrennan
Showed very little on her comeback and needs to leave that effort far behind. More of an outsider’s proposition based on current form.

6. Top Juggler (Best odds: 14/1 – bet365)
Trainer: John & Sean Quinn | Jockey: Kevin Stott
Mixes it well when fresh and previously won here. Although inconsistent, he can’t be overlooked entirely on return, especially if getting cover from the draw.

7. Military Girl (Best odds: 10/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Michael Dods | Jockey: Connor Beasley
Fired in a decent effort two runs back but found life tougher last time. Still early days, and she may fare better in a slightly less frantic scenario.

8. Defence Missile (Best odds: 50/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Linda Perratt | Jockey: Tommie Jakes
Finds himself tumbling in the weights, though recent results haven’t been inspiring. A sharp tempo could help, but he’s hard to fancy for win purposes.

9. Stirrup Cup (Best odds: 25/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Tim Easterby | Jockey: David Allan
Goes well when things fall his way but needs everything to click. Form is patchy, yet there are occasions where he outruns big odds – could sneak into the minor places.

10. Who Wants Me (Best odds: 50/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Iain Jardine | Jockey: Sam James
Nothing in his latest displays inspires confidence. Difficult to make a case for unless blinkers spark dramatic progress.

11. Arabian Cobra (Best odds: 8/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer | Jockey: David Probert
Showed some spark earlier in the season and has run better than bare figures suggest. Dangerous if finding clear daylight, especially with a late burst of speed.

12. Larchill Lass (Best odds: 6/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Michael & David Easterby | Jockey: Billy Garritty
Looked unlucky not to finish closer last time and seems to be improving steadily. Has conditions in her favour today and could go close if maintaining momentum.

13. No Nay Nevermind (Best odds: 33/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Iain Jardine | Jockey: Mohammed Tabti
Still searching for form after several efforts without success. Currently hard to recommend, though lightly raced and could progress if fitted with new headgear.

14. East Tyrone (Best odds: 14/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Kevin Ryan | Jockey: Shane Gray
Not seen to best effect on return to action but might be sharper now. On a workable mark and could be one for the shortlist if the race sets up in his favour.

Verdict

A tight affair featuring improving three-year-olds, but Dothan stands out for his recent success and upward trajectory. Larchill Lass offers value and continues to progress steadily, while Mae Amor should be in the shake-up if building on her recent placing.

1. Oriental Prince (Best odds: 11/10 – bet365)
Trainer: Jim Goldie | Jockey: Paul Mulrennan
Currently in red-hot form with four wins from six recent starts, including over this trip. Clearly thriving and remains in great shape despite a career-high mark. Could prove very difficult to peg back again.

2. Pop Star (Best odds: 12/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Alice Haynes | Jockey: Kieran O’Neill
Had a solid campaign last year but has yet to find rhythm this season. If he can rediscover his sharp early pace and respond positively to the tongue strap and cheekpieces combo, he might surprise a few.

3. Illusionist (Best odds: 11/2 – Unibet)
Trainer: Grant Tuer | Jockey: Oliver Stammers
Now eight years old but not devoid of ability. Wasn’t beaten far last time and goes well at this course. If he’s in the mood, he has the tools to mount a strong late bid.

4. Minnie WildesNon-Runner
Trainer: Charlie Fellowes | Jockey:
Withdrawn ahead of the start.

5. Orbital Chime (Best odds: 14/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Katie Scott | Jockey: Sam James
Has been knocking on the door in similar contests but hasn’t quite put it together. Freshened up for this return and could prove lively if the ground rides quick and he finds a rhythm from the stalls.

6. Hurt You Never (Best odds: 5/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Adrian Nicholls | Jockey: Jack Nicholls (7lb claimer)
Landed a cosy win two starts ago and wasn’t disgraced when fifth in better company after that. Claimer takes off useful weight, and she’s capable of another bold effort if positioned well early.

7. Digital (Best odds: 6/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Ruth Carr | Jockey: Daniel Tudhope
Inconsistent type but well handicapped on old form. Needs to rediscover his spark, though Tudhope booking catches the eye. Dangerous to rule out completely with the right setup.

8. Parisiac (Best odds: 12/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Iain Jardine | Jockey: Andrew Mullen
Yet to find top gear this term, but this drop in grade might see improvement. If he can travel better into the race, his past efforts suggest he has the ability to place.

Verdict

The progressive Oriental Prince looks like the one to beat after his strong sequence of victories, and the balance of recent form supports that. Hurt You Never remains on the up and shouldn’t be far away under a light weight. Illusionist, despite his age, might have one more competitive effort left in him.

1. King’s Scholar (Best odds: 9/2 – bet365)
Trainer: Ed Walker | Jockey: Clifford Lee
Unbeaten in his only start this season, this four-year-old comes here off a strong display that hinted at more to come. Should handle this longer trip and remains on the upgrade.

2. Forza Orta (Best odds: 12/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Kevin Ryan | Jockey: Rowan Scott
Hasn’t hit top gear in his latest couple of runs, but signs of life were visible last time. Might appreciate this drop in class and return to familiar surroundings.

3. Sugar Road (Best odds: 9/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Andrew Balding | Jockey: David Probert
Began the year with a couple of fair performances but has since dipped. If bouncing back to earlier efforts, could make his presence felt at double-figure odds.

4. Sectarius (Best odds: 7/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Edward Bethell | Jockey: Callum Rodriguez
Ended last campaign in decent form and has a win in the book over similar conditions. Stamina to prove over this extra yardage, but one of the more intriguing runners.

5. Letsbefrank (Best odds: 13/2 – Unibet)
Trainer: Jim Goldie | Jockey: Paul Mulrennan
Does his best work at this venue and could be nearing peak fitness again. A course winner who tends to run well here, so definitely not one to rule out.

6. Tafsir (Best odds: 25/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Jim Goldie | Jockey: Lauren Young (7lb claimer)
This mare hasn’t shown her true colours so far this year, but she’s capable of better. Conditions suit, and the claim may help if she gets a soft lead.

7. Savrola (Best odds: 6/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Dianne Sayer | Jockey: Kevin Stott
Has returned in flying form, recording back-to-back wins and thriving at staying distances. Up in the weights again but progressing the right way and hard to ignore.

8. Kitsune Power (Best odds: 9/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Tim Easterby | Jockey: David Allan
A shade below form in his last two but retains the ability to strike at this level. Drawn well and has previously shaped as though a trip like this may unlock improvement.

9. Alnayef (Best odds: 10/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Jim Goldie | Jockey: Amie Waugh (3lb claimer)
Still relatively unexposed and looked a threat for much of the race on reappearance. Claims with a light weight and should go well with natural progression.

10. Destinado (Best odds: 8/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: James Owen | Jockey: Sean D Bowen
Won stylishly two starts ago and didn’t disgrace himself last time. Versatile in running style and another solid player in what appears to be a tightly contested event.

11. ClansmanNon-Runner
Trainer: Liam Bailey | Jockey:
Withdrawn from today’s race.

12. Tokyo Bay (Best odds: 12/1 – bet365)
Trainer: K R Burke | Jockey: Jack Nicholls (7lb claimer)
Struggled in recent outings, but the mark is now favourable. Could spring a surprise if things fall right and benefits from an enterprising ride.

13. Two Auld Pals (Best odds: 20/1 – Betvictor)
Trainer: Lucinda Russell | Jockey: Connor Beasley
Well exposed and hasn’t shown much recently, but he’s a course winner who could make use of his low weight. Would need to produce something out of the ordinary to figure.

14. Cougar (Best odds: 33/1 – Unibet)
Trainer: Iain Jardine | Jockey: Mohammed Tabti (5lb claimer)
Form figures are uninspiring and he arrives with plenty to prove. On a career-low mark, but difficult to recommend with confidence unless market support arrives late.

15. Fast Fred (Best odds: 20/1 – bet365)
Trainer: Phillip Makin | Jockey: Sam James
Raced frequently this term and hasn’t been far off the mark in most. Could have a place shout with a bit of luck in running, although stamina is a slight question at this trip.

Verdict

A strong renewal where several hold chances, but Savrola has been in exceptional form and looks well set to defy the handicapper once again. Sectarius appeals as a likely improver over this trip and is respected accordingly. Letsbefrank, with a solid course record, completes the shortlist and could be a danger if things open up late.
