Join Racing TV Now Novices’ Hurdle (GBB Race)

 Winner £4,357, 2nd £2,007, 3rd £1,003, 4th £502

 4yo+, 9 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 2m 2f 25y , GOOD, Good to soft in places (GoingStick: 6.5) (Watering)

1. Go Go Chicago (Best Odds: 15/2 – bet365)

Ruth Jefferson’s charge found success earlier this season but has been held in tougher company since. Jamie Hamilton is back in the saddle, and the drop in grade should help. He’s proven over hurdles and might sneak into the places with a well-judged ride.

2. Saracen Beau (Best Odds: 5/2 – Betvictor)

This six-year-old returned from a break to land a maiden impressively before pulling up last time when something looked amiss. Representing Lucinda Russell, with Jack Power claiming 7lb, he could bounce back quickly if conditions play to his strengths.

3. Cloonainra (Best Odds: 13/8 – Unibet)

The most consistent in the line-up, having hit the frame in five of his last six. John McConnell sends him across the water, and with Callum Pritchard claiming 5lb, the six-year-old sets the benchmark and deserves to be at the top of the market.

4. Gonnino (Best Odds: 100/1 – bet365)

Gary Rutherford’s gelding hasn’t shown much across his three appearances to date. Craig Nichol remains in the saddle, but major improvement would be needed for him to feature in this sort of company.

5. King Gold Boy (Best Odds: 150/1 – Unibet)

Jean McGregor’s representative has struggled in all four runs this season and was pulled up on his most recent outing. He looks completely out of his depth and is one for the longshot backers only.

6. Thunder Gap (Best Odds: 100/1 – Betvictor)

Lightly raced and yet to finish better than fifth, Maurice Barnes’ runner has work to do to trouble the leaders. Charlie Price keeps the ride, but his jumping and stamina need considerable improvement.

7. Wild Reiver (Best Odds: 50/1 – bet365)

Ran better than the bare result suggests last time but remains something of an unknown quantity. Conor Rabbitt claims 3lb again, though he’ll need a much-improved effort to get involved at the business end.

8. Good To Be Alive (Best Odds: 7/4 – Betvictor)

Gordon Elliott’s youngster made a winning debut before finishing fourth in stronger company. Sean Bowen is an eye-catching booking, and with plenty of scope for progress, he looks one of the more serious players here if handling the ground.

9. Top Flight Century (Best Odds: 25/1 – Unibet)

Brian Hughes is a notable jockey booking for this lightly raced four-year-old who fell on his only hurdles appearance. He’s clearly thought capable of better, and with fitness no longer a question, he could be one to keep tabs on at a big price.

Verdict

Cloonainra brings the most consistent profile into this and is overdue a breakthrough. With solid form in similar contests, he earns the nod. Good To Be Alive represents a big yard and could easily improve again with a clearer run. Saracen Beau remains unexposed and is dangerous to underestimate if bouncing back from his latest run.

bet365 Premier Chase (Listed Race) (GBB Race)

 Winner £34,170, 2nd £12,822, 3rd £6,420, 4th £3,198, 5th £1,608, 6th £804

 5yo+, 4 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 2m 7f 96y , GOOD TO SOFT (GoingStick: 5.8)

🔹 Grey Dawning – 8/13 – bet365
A high-class chaser who has already proven himself at a strong level. Disappointed last time, but if he returns to his best, he should be difficult to beat in this company.

🔹 Iroko – 2/1 – BetVictor
A talented performer who has shown flashes of ability but needs to bounce back from a couple of below-par efforts. If running to his peak form, he could give the favourite something to think about.

🔹 Barrons Land – 200/1 – Unibet
Out of his depth at this level and looks set to struggle. Would be a massive surprise if he were to play a role in the finish.

🔹 El Elefante – 11/1 – bet365
An improving sort who has been in fine form recently. This represents a step up in class, but if progressing again, he could be a lively outsider.

Verdict

Grey Dawning is the class act in the race and, provided he puts his last effort behind him, should prove too strong for these. Iroko has the ability to challenge but will need to return to his best, while El Elefante could run well at a price if handling the step up in grade.

bet365 Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

 Winner £15,609, 2nd £7,176, 3rd £3,588, 4th £1,794, 5th £897, 6th £447

 4yo+, 10 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 2m 4f 189y , GOOD TO SOFT (GoingStick: 5.8)

🔹 Mr Bramley – 10/3 – bet365
Consistent performer who has been in fine form this season. Another bold run is expected, though he faces stiff competition off top weight.

🔹 Nab Wood – 7/1 – BetVictor
A capable runner who was unfortunate to unseat last time. If bouncing back to his previous form, he has every chance of being in the mix.

🔹 Bold Light – 8/1 – Unibet
Has been running well in similar races, finishing in the frame consistently. Will need to find a little extra to get his head in front, but not without a chance.

🔹 Ace Of Spades – 5/2 – bet365
Progressive sort who arrives on a hat-trick bid. With conditions likely to suit, he looks a major threat to all if continuing his upward trajectory.

🔹 Gaillimh A Stor – 12/1 – BetVictor
Has put in some strong performances but remains a bit inconsistent. If on a going day, he could challenge for a place.

🔹 Inox Allen – 10/1 – Unibet
Had some useful form last season but hasn’t quite built on that. Needs to show more to trouble the main contenders.

🔹 Joecooker – 9/1 – bet365
Won well a couple of starts ago but struggled last time. If recapturing his best form, he could run into the places.

🔹 Young Jack – 20/1 – BetVictor
Course winner who has been inconsistent of late. If everything clicks, he could outrun his odds, but others are preferred.

🔹 Fingal’s Hill – 14/1 – Unibet
Capable of putting in a strong effort but has been below his best recently. Needs to bounce back to figure here.

🔹 Fontana Ellissi – 35/1 – bet365
Difficult to recommend on recent form, having struggled in his latest outings. Would be a surprise if he featured.

Verdict

Ace Of Spades is on an upward curve and could prove tough to beat if maintaining his recent improvement. Mr Bramley is another strong contender, having been highly consistent, while Bold Light could be a solid each-way option.

 Winner £42,713, 2nd £16,028, 3rd £8,025, 4th £3,998, 5th £2,010, 6th £1,005

 4yo+, 10 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 2m 2f 25y , GOOD TO SOFT (GoingStick: 5.8)

🔹 Dedicated Hero – 10/1 – bet365
Progressive type with multiple wins to his name. He is stepping into tougher company here, but if he continues to improve, he could be an interesting outsider.

🔹 Roadlesstravelled – 12/1 – BetVictor
Racked up an impressive string of victories before disappointing last time out. If he can put that run behind him, he could bounce back with a strong showing.

🔹 Captain Butler – 33/1 – Unibet
Has done little wrong in his career so far, but he faces a big jump in class here. He will need to produce a career-best to have any chance of making an impact.

🔹 Castle Carrock – 3/1 – bet365
Arrives unbeaten and looks a serious contender for this step up in class. If he can maintain his upward trajectory, he should be right in the mix.

🔹 Chart Topper – 11/4 – BetVictor
Represents a top stable and has put together an impressive sequence of results. The one to beat if continuing his recent form.

🔹 Jet To Vegas – 25/1 – Unibet
A solid performer who has been improving steadily. However, this is a much stronger test, and he may find a few of these too good.

🔹 Laganhill – 9/1 – bet365
Has looked a smart prospect in limited appearances. If handling the rise in class, he could be a lively each-way option.

🔹 Putapoundinthejar – 33/1 – BetVictor
Stepped up on previous form to land a maiden victory last time out, but this is a whole new challenge. Looks to have plenty to find.

🔹 Vanderpoel – 7/2 – Unibet
Has done nothing wrong so far and has the potential to make a mark at this level. Should give a bold account of himself.

🔹 Listentoyourheart – 8/1 – bet365
Ran well in weaker company before finding things tougher last time. If putting that run behind him, he could play a role in the finish.

Verdict

Chart Topper brings the strongest credentials to this race and is likely to be hard to stop. Castle Carrock has done nothing wrong so far and could be a major danger, while Vanderpoel remains an interesting contender with further progress likely.

bet365 Morebattle Hurdle (A Handicap Hurdle) (GBB Race)

 Winner £61,728, 2nd £28,380, 3rd £14,196, 4th £7,092, 5th £3,552, 6th £1,764, 7th £888, 8th £444

 4yo+, 18 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 2m 51y , GOOD TO SOFT (GoingStick: 5.8)

1. Surrey Belle – Best Odds: 5/1 (bet365)
This progressive filly comes into the race with back-to-back victories and appears to be improving with every outing. Brian Hughes remains in the saddle, and if she continues on this trajectory, another bold showing is highly likely.

2. Rula Bula – Best Odds: 11/1 (unibet)
A solid mare who has consistently made her presence felt, despite just missing out on top honours recently. With Benjamin Macey claiming weight, she could be competitive once again if she gets a smooth trip.

3. Tour Ovalie – Best Odds: 9/1 (betvictor)
Following a hat-trick earlier in the campaign, Tour Ovalie has lost her way slightly but remains capable. Isabel Williams knows her well, and a return to earlier form could place her firmly in the mix.

4. Walkadina – Best Odds: 6/1 (bet365)
A very consistent performer who rarely finishes far behind. David Pipe’s mare thrives under pressure, and with Jack Tudor booked, she’s likely to be pushing for a place finish.

5. Game Colours – Best Odds: 8/1 (unibet)
This seven-year-old arrives in top form, finally getting her head in front last time out. If building on that success, Ben Clarke’s mare has the ability to challenge for major honours here.

6. Assorda – Best Odds: 16/1 (betvictor)
Although she has two recent wins to her name, this race represents a rise in class. Paula Smith’s runner will need to deliver a career-best effort, but she remains an interesting outsider.

7. Sunset Hill – Best Odds: 20/1 (bet365)
Susan Corbett’s representative has put in some decent efforts without managing to break through. If she finds a bit extra in the final stages, she might just sneak into the frame at big odds.

8. Green Sky – Best Odds: 10/1 (unibet)
A mare who often travels well but finds less off the bridle. However, if J J Slevin can time the challenge right, she could make the shortlist.

9. Northern Air – Best Odds: 9/2 (bet365)
Coming off a recent victory, Fergal O’Brien’s mare looks to be peaking at just the right time. She will need to handle the pressure of stronger company, but the form is trending in the right direction.

10. Leloopa – Best Odds: 20/1 (betvictor)
Lightly raced and still learning, this mare has recorded a couple of wins but disappointed last time. If she bounces back, she could run into the places at a generous price.

11. Barrabool – Best Odds: 6/1 (unibet)
Harry Derham’s filly has found consistency, with several good efforts on the board. Alice Stevens takes off a valuable 3lb, and she could deliver another strong performance.

12. Lizzie Luna – Best Odds: 11/1 (betvictor)
Ewan Whillans’ mare arrives with solid placed form and a recent win to her credit. If continuing on this upward path, she should not be underestimated in this company.

Verdict

In a fascinating final, preference is for Northern Air (9/2, bet365) who looks ready to build on her recent victory and has more to offer. Game Colours is expected to pose a significant threat following her last success. Barrabool has been consistent enough to warrant serious consideration, and Lizzie Luna is a lively each-way prospect who could run well at double-figure odds.

bet365 Juvenile Hurdle (Go North Grey Bomber Series Qualifier) (GBB Race)

 Winner £8,714, 2nd £4,010, 3rd £2,005, 4th £1,003, 5th £500

 4yo, 6 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 2m 51y , GOOD TO SOFT (GoingStick: 5.8)

Tommy’s Oscar (Best Odds: 9/2 with bet365)
Ann Hamilton’s reliable nine-year-old put in a solid effort last time and looks capable of mounting a serious challenge under Sean Quinlan.

Matata (Best Odds: 5/2 with Betvictor)
A classy six-year-old who returned to form with a victory last time out. Sam Twiston-Davies retains the ride, and this runner looks a prime contender.

Malystic (Best Odds: 16/1 with BetMGM)
This experienced 10-year-old has been inconsistent recently but has the ability to spring a surprise if things fall his way. Ryan Mania takes the ride.

Nells Son (Best Odds: 6/1 with bet365)
Nicky Richards’ charge showed improvement to secure a win in his last race. He’s expected to be in the mix here under Danny McMenamin.

Gunsight Ridge (Best Odds: 7/2 with Betvictor)
Olly Murphy’s runner was in strong form before a fall in his previous outing. Sean Bowen will aim to guide this talented nine-year-old back to winning ways.

Traprain Law (Best Odds: 3/1 with bet365)
A consistent performer trained by Lucinda Russell, this six-year-old has shown versatility and is expected to be a major player here under Patrick Wadge.

Gua Du Large (Best Odds: 50/1 with BetMGM)
This eight-year-old faces a tough assignment in this field, but if he can rediscover his best form, he could provide an upset. Ben Smith is aboard.

Verdict

This promises to be a thrilling race, with Matata and Traprain Law leading the market as strong contenders. Gunsight Ridge has the talent to feature prominently if he bounces back, while Tommy’s Oscar offers experience and reliability. Our selection is Traprain Law, whose consistency and tactical adaptability could make the difference over this demanding trip.
