The Grand Slam of Darts is a darts tournament that will take place from Saturday 9th November 2019 to Sunday 17th November 2019. The tournament is organised by the Professional Darts Corporation that also invites the best players from its rival, the British Darts Organisation. In the past, there have been some matches between the champions of the two organisation, but not many tournaments have had BDO v PDC clashes. This is the first tournament of this type that is held in the UK. The event will take place in Wolverhampton.
Grand Slam of Darts 2019 Betting Tips
Adrian Lewis vs Michael van Gerwen – 16th November Saturday 19:00
On Saturday night Michael van Gerwen will face Adrian Lewis for a place in the semi-finals. Van Gerwen has looked in good shape this week but, in the last match, Ian White had good chances to beat the World Number One. Lewis has been performing very well so far, and no other players has thrown more 180s than ‘Jackpot’. Considering that van Gerwen will probably switch from the 20 segment, we believe there is a value in backing Lewis to chuck in more maximums than the Dutch here.
Adrian Lewis most 180s vs Michael van Gerwen
Gerwyn Price vs Gary Anderson – 16th November Saturday 20:30
The most interesting quarter-final is the clash between Gerwyn Price and Gary Anderson. A year ago Price managed to get a win over Anderson in what was a very controversial final. This season they have only met at the US Darts Masters with ‘Gezzy’ that once again managed to prevail. Price is playing really well at the moment and we believe he will edge it once more.
Grand Slam of Darts 2019 Ante-Post Betting Tips
Gerwyn Price To Win
Defending champion Gerwyn Price is coming to this edition of the Grand Slam of Darts in great form. ‘The Iceman’ has won this title against Gary Anderson last year, and surely he looks to have a decent draw in this edition, so he has a clear chance of retaining the title.
Price has reached the semi-final of the Champions League and the final of the European Championships so surely he will head to Wolverhampton in very good confidence. He has also managed to reach the semi-finals of the UK Open earlier in the year and has been playing consistently since.
The only bad news for the ‘Iceman’ is that is being portrayed as the bad boy of darts. He had some issues with some crowds in recent weeks, but if he can keep cool and concentrated looks a great value at 11/1.
PREDICTION: Back Gerwyn Price To Win @ 11/1 With BetVictor
Glen Durrant To Win Outright (Each-way)
If you are looking for longer odds, then you should back Glen Durrant who is a BDO representative in this event. Despite he has a tough draw, his form has been very promising in recent times having reached the semi-finals at the World Matchplay and World Grand Prix. He knows how to perform on big stages, and if he is focused and make it through the tough group, he can really go far in Wolverhampton.
PREDICTION: Back Glen Durrant To Win Outright (Each-way) @ 25/1 With BetVictor
