For the first time in history, the European Tour is in Cyprus this week where the Cyprus Open will take place. As always, our golf betting experts have provided their view on this tournament and suggested a main and an each-way bet.
This is another tournament that has been created for this year, as the original calendar has been disrupted. From a betting point of view, new venues are challenging to predict, but it must be said that the European Tour is doing a great job to keep things going, and we have a very decent line-up for this Cyprus golf event. The tournament will be played in the PGA National Cyprus course, which has been designed by Cabell Robinson. Opened in 2002 the course has been completely renovated in 2017 and has obtained the PGA title. It is an exposed coastal course and has wide fairways, so it should be pretty comfortable for the pros as it has been primarily designed with tourists in mind.

Main Bet: Andy Sullivan
Andy Sullivan is our pick for this match. Comes here in good form after his third place at Wentworth three weeks ago. He has been playing confidently and won at the English Championship in August. Sullivan has also won the Portugal Masters and should have good affinity with this track. We believe that the market is correct in making him the favourite, and we suggest to have a small punt on Sullivan, as the price still represents some value.

Nicolas Colsaerts (Each-Way) To Win
£20 bet returns £520 with Betvictor

Each way: Nicolas Colsaerts
We believe there is an each-way value in backing big-hitting Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts. He has great talent and even if he hasn’t won a huge amount of titles, has prevailed in the final edition of the Volvo World Match Play at Finca Cortesin. He is hitting the right form at the same time as he did last year when he won in the challenging Open de France. Colsaerts has done well on several courses that can be linked with the PGA Cyprus. Last week he would have won the tournament if he didn’t have a terrible Friday morning. He looks capable of being in contention here and at this price it is certainly worth an each-way punt.
