Best Odds Boost for this Match
- Leeds’ defensive solidity: Leeds have conceded only 0.7 goals per game, the joint-third best record in the Championship, while Watford have allowed an average of 1.7 goals per match.
- Watford’s away-day woes: The Hornets have lost their last four away matches, conceding 11 goals and scoring just once, raising serious concerns about their ability to compete on the road.

Our Tips
Both Teams to Score | |
4/7 - odds when tipped | |
Reasoning Both teams to score is a strong bet, with Villa's home scoring record and defensive issues countered by Brentford’s attacking form, led by Schade. Watkins’ history against Brentford adds intrigue.
Kevin Schade to Score Anytime
29/10 - odds when tipped

Draw 2-2 | |
12/1 - odds when tipped | |
Reasoning A 2-2 draw is predicted, with Villa’s home resilience countering Brentford’s attacking strength. Both teams’ scoring prowess and defensive lapses point to a balanced, high-scoring encounter. |
As the Championship season continues to heat up, Leeds United are set to host Watford at Elland Road in what promises to be a pivotal clash for both sides. Leeds, currently sitting third with 19 points, are coming off the back of a commanding 2-0 victory against Sheffield United, a win that solidified their position among the promotion contenders. Watford, meanwhile, have been struggling, especially away from home. After their 3-0 drubbing by Luton Town, manager Tom Cleverley has publicly questioned his side’s ability to cope away from Vicarage Road.
Leeds’ defence has been one of the best in the league, conceding just 0.7 goals per game, while Watford have been leaking goals left and right, allowing 17 across their 10 matches. Add to that Watford’s poor run of form away from home, where they’ve lost their last four matches, conceding 11 and scoring just once, and it’s clear that the Hornets will need to perform above their recent standards to leave West Yorkshire with any points.
Best Bet: Leeds United to Win
With Leeds’ current form and Watford’s dire away record, backing the home side seems a no-brainer. Leeds have not only been solid at the back, but their attacking stats are equally impressive, with an average of 1.7 goals per game and 17 goals scored in their first 10 matches. The Peacocks have been clinical, creating an average of three big chances per game, which contrasts sharply with Watford’s inability to contain opposition attacks, especially on their travels.
Moreover, Leeds have dominated their last two home fixtures, securing maximum points, and with the confidence of beating a strong Sheffield United side just days ago, it’s difficult to see how Watford, with their patchy defensive structure, will cope. The absence of key players like Jeremy Ngakia and Kevin Keben further exacerbates Watford’s defensive woes, leaving Cleverley with a depleted backline.
Watford’s struggles go beyond tactics and individual errors, with Cleverley himself admitting that playing away from home is a major hurdle. This psychological aspect could be a significant factor, especially against a Leeds side whose attacking fluidity, led by the likes of Wilfried Gnonto and Joël Piroe, will pose a continuous threat. Piroe, in particular, has been in lethal form, bagging four goals so far, and he will likely spearhead Leeds’ offensive onslaught.
According to BettingTips4You.com expert Herrin Kendrick, “Leeds have been difficult to break down and, combined with their attacking options, it’s hard to see Watford walking away with anything other than another defeat. With Farke’s men in such strong form, they should win this comfortably.”
Given all the factors – Leeds’ home advantage, Watford’s terrible away form, and the attacking disparity between the two – a bet on Leeds to secure all three points is highly recommended. Even if Watford manage to sneak a goal, it seems unlikely they’ll prevent Leeds from scoring multiple times.

Correct Score Prediction: Leeds United 3-1 Watford
Given Leeds’ attacking firepower and Watford’s defensive frailties, predicting a high-scoring affair isn’t out of the question. Leeds have averaged nearly two goals per game this season, and their relentless pressing and ability to create big chances will likely result in a few goals, especially considering Watford’s leaky defence on the road.
On the other side, while Watford’s attack has been somewhat inconsistent, they’ve still managed 14 goals this season. With Giorgi Chakvetadze and Vakoun Bayo leading the line, there’s a chance they could find a way through Leeds’ defence, particularly if Leeds push forward in numbers. However, one goal from Watford is likely all they’ll manage, with Leeds expected to dominate possession and chances.
A 3-1 victory for Leeds feels like a balanced prediction, reflecting Leeds’ dominance but also giving Watford some credit for their attacking potential. The correct score aligns with the best bet, where Leeds should win comfortably but may concede one goal against the run of play.
