Doncaster hosts some thrilling races, including the Japan Racing Association Sceptre Fillies’ Stakes, where horses like Doom and Elim will be under the spotlight. These fillies will compete alongside others in a highly competitive Group 3 contest, where speed and stamina over seven furlongs will be crucial.

At Musselburgh, the competitive handicap races provide a platform for emerging talent such as Space Ninja, who will have to showcase endurance over seven furlongs to come out on top. Meanwhile, at the Curragh, Giavellotto will be up against formidable rivals in a test of patience and strategy. Nap of the Day

Our Nap of the Day comes in the 15:15 at Doncaster, where Doom looks poised to deliver a standout performance. William Haggas trains this filly, and she has already proven her quality by finishing second to Group 2 winner Friendly Soul at Ascot. In that race, she also got the better of Soprano, who recently finished third in the Group 1 Matron Stakes. Cieren Fallon takes the ride again, and this filly looks well positioned to capitalise on her current form. The seven-furlong distance is perfect for her, and her blend of speed and tactical awareness gives her a strong chance to come out on top today.

In the 15:15 race at Doncaster, Elim has shown she’s improving with every outing. Trained by Edward Bethell, this filly put in an eye-catching performance last time at York, where she finished strongly despite having to wait for an opening. While she faces tougher competition in this Group 3 contest, Elim is a horse on the rise. Her jockey, Callum Rodriguez, has been in good form, and Bethell’s yard has been producing results. This filly will need to find more today, but she’s progressing at the right time and could surprise the field with her determination and late burst of speed.

Space Ninja lines up for the 17:35 at Musselburgh, and this looks like an ideal opportunity for him to break his maiden. He finished a promising second at Carlisle last time out, running neck-and-neck with a subsequent winner. That performance marked his first run over seven furlongs, and he handled the step up in distance very well. Trainer Roger Fell has found the right race for him, and with just a 2lb rise in the weights, Space Ninja is nicely handicapped. Rowan Scott takes the ride, and with the horse clearly on an upward trajectory, he’s well poised to take this race.

The 16:45 race at the Curragh sees Giavellotto take on a talented field, but he’s been impressing during his recent work at home. Marco Botti has shown plenty of patience with this horse, and that approach is likely to be rewarded here. Oisin Murphy, one of the best jockeys in the business, is on board, and his expertise should prove invaluable. Giavellotto has been in fine form on the gallops, and the conditions today should suit him. He’s primed for a big performance, and if he can bring his work from home to the track, he’ll be tough to beat.
