Valladolid to win
Valladolid v Eldense
Valladolid's attacking firepower and home advantage give them the edge over Eldense in this Segunda División clash. With an average of 2.2 goals scored per game and a tendency for high-scoring matches, Valladolid's offensive style should trouble Eldense's defense, which concedes around one goal per match. While Eldense can score, Valladolid's recent form and stronger goal output suggest they are more likely to secure the win. The odds at 1.7 reflect a reasonable price for Valladolid to capitalize on their attacking strengths and claim victory on home turf.

Four competitions. Four different countries. Sunday’s accumulator crosses Europe and South America, taking in a La Liga 2 promotion scrap in Castile, an Eredivisie encounter between a side yet to lose at home this season and a visiting team carrying serious injury concerns in attack, and two heavyweight Série A fixtures where the focus falls squarely on goals — specifically, which sides have been scoring them consistently and at what rate.
None of these selections rests on a club’s reputation or a headline result. Each one is built from something more specific: a home record that has held firm through seven league matches without defeat, a leading scorer ruled out at a critical moment, an attack that has averaged two Série A goals per game over a sustained run, or a home side who have found the net in three consecutive top-flight matches. Sunday’s football is spread across four different settings, and so are the arguments underpinning each leg.

Sunday’s Four-Fold Accumulator Selections
Real Valladolid vs Eldense
Valladolid put five past Albacete last weekend at Estadio Jose Zorrilla — seven shots on target, 56% possession, and a second consecutive La Liga 2 home win confirmed. Adrian Arnu netted twice in that rout and has now matched Juanmi Latasa as the side’s joint-leading scorer with three league goals apiece, while Victor Fernandez leads the side with four assists. That combination of goals and creativity at home has been the defining thread of Valladolid’s season in Castile.
Eldense arrive with some form of their own. Back-to-back La Liga 2 victories — most recently a 2-1 success over Córdoba — show a side that can score and take points. The concern is volume. Across nine league games, Los Azulgranas have managed only 4.6 shots on target per match and averaged 1.1 goals. They create limited chances at the best of times, and visiting a Valladolid side who have been scoring freely at home is unlikely to improve those numbers.
Valladolid’s wider league record does provide an honest counterpoint. Three wins, four defeats and three draws from their last ten La Liga 2 games is not the profile of a team running away with the division, and home form has been doing considerable work in keeping their season together. Eldense, however, have won only three of nine and carry a goal difference of minus one. The last head-to-head between these clubs also ended 1-0 to Valladolid at this ground. Given Eldense’s modest attacking averages and Valladolid’s clearly more settled performance at Estadio Jose Zorrilla, the case for a home win is built on something more concrete than the table positions alone would suggest.
Best bet: Valladolid to win
FC Twente vs FC Utrecht
Twelve points from twelve available at De Grolsch Veste tells most of the story. Twente have won every Eredivisie home match this season — four from four — and the broader competitive context adds further weight. Eight matches without defeat in all competitions since August, with the only exception a narrow 1-0 loss to Qarabag in Baku. Since that defeat, John van den Brom’s side have won six and drawn two. Their Eredivisie run is similarly intact, the sole league defeat coming on the opening day away at Heerenveen, with seventeen points from the subsequent twenty-one available thereafter.
Thursday brought a 1-0 win over FC Thun in European action, albeit one where Twente outshot their Swiss visitors 22-6 while squandering several clear opportunities. Van den Brom will want greater sharpness in the final third, and rightly so. The underlying dominance, though, has been consistent. Wout Weghorst carries four Eredivisie goals and two assists into this fixture, while Younes Taha has contributed two goals and two assists. Daouda Weidmann and Sondre Orjasaeter have also made regular direct contributions throughout.
Utrecht’s injury situation provides the most important context on the away side. Artem Stepanov — their leading scorer with five Eredivisie goals this season — is expected to miss Sunday with an ankle problem, joining Noah Ohio, Alonzo Engwanda and Miliano Jonathans in the treatment room. Kevin Paredes is also a doubt. Yoann Cathline’s brace against bottom-placed Willem II last weekend showed that Utrecht can still produce, and they have taken seven points from twelve since their heavy defeats to AZ Alkmaar and PSV Eindhoven. Last season’s corresponding fixture at this ground ended 2-0 to Utrecht — a reminder that Twente are capable of being beaten here. Asking a depleted visiting attack to be the side to do it, however, requires considerably more than historical precedent.
Best bet: Twente to win
Grêmio vs Cruzeiro
Grêmio are 18th in the Série A after thirty games — two wins, five defeats and three draws from their last ten — and any honest assessment of their recent form starts from that position. They have averaged 1.0 goals per match from 3.7 shots on target, which makes a straightforward case for their attack difficult to construct. What matters for BTTS, though, is that the goals have not entirely dried up. Wallace scored in the most recent outing, a 1-1 draw at home to local rivals Internacional, and Gustavo Martins leads the side with three Série A strikes while Cristian Pavón has contributed two.
The stronger half of the BTTS argument sits with Cruzeiro. Seven wins from their last ten Série A games have produced an average of 2.0 goals per match, and Matheus Pereira’s five goals and three assists in that period make him one of the most consistent attacking players in the Brazilian top flight at present. Kaio Jorge has contributed three goals, Ze Lucas and Keny Arroyo two each. Cruzeiro score regularly. The relevant question for this selection is not whether they will find the net, but whether Grêmio can contribute to the scoreline at the other end.
That question carries genuine uncertainty. Cruzeiro have won their last three meetings with Grêmio, including a 2-0 result in the previous encounter, and a clean sheet for the away side is not an unreasonable expectation. The more relevant point for BTTS is Cruzeiro’s own defensive record across the last ten: 1.4 goals conceded per match. That is the figure that keeps this selection in scope. Cruzeiro’s opponents have been scoring against them regularly, and a Grêmio side that has managed to score in recent matches — however sporadically — offers at least a credible argument that the same could happen again.
Best bet: BTTS Yes
Bahia vs Flamengo
Flamengo’s defensive numbers over the last ten Série A games are worth stating plainly: an average of 0.7 goals conceded per match, from 3.2 shots on target allowed per fixture. Second in the table with 64 points and a goal difference of plus 33 from thirty games, Leonardo Jardim’s side have constructed a season built on converting chances at one end and conceding almost nothing at the other. On Thursday night, they produced a goalless draw away to Estudiantes La Plata in the Copa Libertadores — a midweek trip to Argentina that adds to the physical demands of this run.
That defensive record is the most significant obstacle facing this selection, and it deserves honest treatment. The case for BTTS rests primarily on Bahia. The hosts are sixth in the Série A and have won three consecutive league home matches, with Luciano Juba, Erick Pulga and Alejo Veliz each contributing three goals across the season. Bahia have averaged 1.5 league goals per game over their last ten outings — a scoring rate that, while not spectacular, points to a side who have been consistent in front of their own supporters this season.
The last meeting between these clubs ended 2-0 to Flamengo, with Bahia failing to score. That result, combined with Flamengo having won nine of the last ten head-to-head encounters, makes clear what the default outcome looks like in this fixture. This selection does not require Bahia to win or to match Flamengo’s output over ninety minutes. It asks only that a home side who have scored in three consecutive matches find the net once against a travelling team with Copa Libertadores miles in their legs. Flamengo’s defensive record makes that far from straightforward — but Bahia’s home form provides a genuine argument that it is achievable.
