Oldham Athletic host Sheffield Wednesday at Boundary Park on Sunday, 8 November 2026, in the FA Cup first round, kicking off at 5.15pm GMT. Here’s where to watch Sunday’s tie in the UK, including the TV channels, online stream and options for following the game away from your television.
How to Watch Oldham Athletic vs Sheffield Wednesday Live Stream in the UK
TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports 3 are showing Oldham against Sheffield Wednesday live in the UK, with online streaming through HBO Max. Kick-off is at 5.15pm GMT, and TNT Sports 3 has coverage scheduled from 4.30pm, giving viewers 45 minutes before the first whistle.
Some online bookmakers may add live streaming for eligible active customers closer to kick-off, so check your provider before the game begins. This option is strictly 18+. Geo-location restrictions and live-streaming terms apply.
For most supporters, the direct choice is TNT Sports on television or HBO Max with a suitable TNT Sports subscription. The fixture is among the FA Cup first-round matches selected for live television coverage this weekend.
TV Info: What Channel Is Oldham Athletic vs Sheffield Wednesday On?
TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports 3 both carry the match. TNT Sports 3 is the better choice for early build-up, with its programme starting at 4.30pm. TNT Sports 1 also shows the fixture from the scheduled kick-off time.
The tie is part of TNT Sports’ FA Cup coverage for the 2026/27 season. If you already receive TNT Sports through your television package, check the channel guide for the Oldham fixture rather than looking for it on the BBC’s live match channels.
HBO Max is the broadcaster’s online home for these matches. Its TNT Sports offering requires an eligible sports plan or add-on.
Oldham Athletic vs Sheffield Wednesday Streaming Apps and Device Guide
Open HBO Max and select the Oldham–Sheffield Wednesday fixture from the TNT Sports live schedule. You can watch using its website on a computer or its app on supported phones and tablets.
For television viewing, HBO Max works on compatible smart TVs and connected-TV devices. Sign in using the account that includes TNT Sports before choosing the live programme.
Because the game sits at the end of a busy Sunday FA Cup schedule, check that you’ve selected Oldham against Wednesday rather than an earlier first-round fixture.
Can You Cast Oldham Athletic vs Sheffield Wednesday to a TV?
If your HBO Max app and television support AirPlay or Chromecast, start the match on your phone and select your TV using the casting control. Both devices should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Alternatively, watch through the HBO Max app on a compatible television or use TNT Sports directly through your existing TV service. That avoids needing to cast from a phone.
Watching Oldham Athletic vs Sheffield Wednesday While Travelling
If you’re abroad, check which broadcaster shows the FA Cup where you are. The UK TNT Sports and HBO Max arrangements do not automatically apply overseas, and the matches you can watch may differ between countries.
Supporters travelling within Britain can use their usual eligible service on a supported device, subject to their subscription and connection.
Live Audio, Highlights and Match Replay
BBC Radio Sheffield and BBC Radio Manchester are covering the match with live audio commentary. BBC 5 Sports Extra 3 is also scheduled to join the game from 6.00pm, providing another listening option during the second half.
BBC Sport is publishing goals and highlights from the FA Cup first round through its website and app. TNT Sports also carries cup highlights alongside its live match coverage.
Short highlights are separate from a full-match replay. Check the HBO Max event page after full-time for any replay showing rather than assuming the entire match will remain available.
