Leitzel (11/4, bet365) – Former flat winner for David O’Meara, Leitzel has started promisingly over hurdles, placing in both attempts so far and could be a strong contender.

Bobbysingindablues (10/1, Betvictor) – Despite a modest pedigree and lackluster performances in point-to-points, Bobbysingindablues might show some improvement in this field.

Cois Fharraige (50/1, Unibet) – Largely uncompetitive on debut at Ballinrobe when facing experienced horses, Cois Fharraige has a lot to prove here.

Cowper Hall (25/1, bet365) – Finished towards the back in a Downpatrick maiden last month, making it hard to recommend him for this race.

Game Eagle (10/1, Betvictor) – Low-grade handicapper on the flat, Game Eagle showed some potential on hurdle debut despite some jumping errors, and could be worth watching.

Mordor (8/13, Unibet) – With four placings from seven hurdle starts, Mordor looks well-positioned to outclass this field and secure a win.

Psycho Sid (20/1, bet365) – The half-brother to hurdle winner Athagabhain, Psycho Sid, debuts here, but expectations should be tempered.

Rocket Ruby (25/1, Betvictor) – Struggled with his jumping at Roscommon and was hampered by a faller, Rocket Ruby faces a tough task here.

Serotonin (20/1, Unibet) – Has yet to place in eight flat starts, and now tries cheekpieces to seek improvement over hurdles.

Shashado (33/1, bet365) – A distant eighth on debut at Tipperary, Shashado likely needs more experience to be competitive.

Strandhill Bay (25/1, Betvictor) – A half-brother to both flat and jumps winners, Strandhill Bay debuts here and could be a wildcard.

Tiny Angel (50/1, Unibet) – Finished last in two Irish starts last year and was pulled up at Ayr, making her hard to fancy here.

Verdict

Mordor stands out as the top choice with consistent form and should capitalize on this opportunity. Leitzel offers a solid alternative with promising recent hurdle performances. Game Eagle could also feature prominently if he can iron out his jumping issues.

Aine’s Lad (9/2, bet365) – Has shown glimpses of potential in bumpers and his initial hurdle run at Downpatrick. Could be a contender if improving on that form.

Kilbride Hill (50/1, Betvictor) – Has been at triple-figure odds in all four starts, suggesting others might be better suited to this race.

Texas King (50/1, Unibet) – Has not shown much in three recent outings, making him a less likely candidate for a strong performance.

Torquay Road (5/1, bet365) – With a sixth-place finish in a Ballinrobe bumper, Torquay Road has a chance of making an impression in his hurdling debut.

Upthereforthinking (4/1, Betvictor) – Although below his best in two starts this year, Upthereforthinking has the potential to perform well if he returns to his previous form.

Bobbi Gin Tree (7/2, Unibet) – Displayed a fair fifth at Thurles last November and should benefit from a recent run at Downpatrick, making her a strong contender.

Kimjoy (5/1, bet365) – Showed promise before falling at Bellewstown and unseating at Perth. Risky, but has potential if she can complete the race cleanly.

Pallas Athene (4/1, Betvictor) – A frustrating runner, often beaten as the favorite, and coming off a poor run at Cork last Friday. Needs to find form to be competitive.

Thunder Rose (33/1, Unibet) – Unable to build on her fifth place at Gowran last November, Thunder Rose has yet to show the form needed to feature here.

You Make Me Smile (50/1, bet365) – With weak hurdle form and sound defeats in flat handicaps, You Make Me Smile faces a tough challenge.

Verdict

Torquay Road has shown enough in bumpers to suggest he might do well on his hurdles debut. Bobbi Gin Tree is another to consider after a fair run at Thurles and a recent outing at Downpatrick. Aine’s Lad could also be a contender if he improves on his initial hurdle run.

Hidden Land (5/1, bet365) – After a solid win over hurdles, Hidden Land struggled at Bellewstown but could bounce back here with a strong performance.

Instant Tendance (9/4, Betvictor) – Coming off a dominant win at Kilbeggan where she benefited from favorable race conditions, Instant Tendance remains on the same mark, making her a top contender.

Miss Fourie (12/1, Unibet) – Having beaten Jumping Susie in a maiden last summer, Miss Fourie hasn’t hit top form in her two outings this year but has the potential to improve.

Red Ball Of Fire (8/1, bet365) – A local favorite, Red Ball Of Fire has won three out of her four hurdle starts at this track and deserves respect.

Gone For Tea (10/1, Betvictor) – A bumper winner who didn’t jump well at Ballinrobe last time, Gone For Tea needs to find her form to be competitive here.

Jumping Susie (4/1, Unibet) – Fresh off a maiden hurdle victory at Tramore, Jumping Susie might find this shorter distance a bit challenging but remains a notable contender.

Flidais (13/2, bet365) – With recent solid performances including a second place at Kilbeggan and a fourth at Ballinrobe, Flidais is in decent form and could be in the mix.

Glendars Mahler (14/1, Betvictor) – After winning a maiden here last August, Glendars Mahler’s subsequent handicap form hasn’t matched up, making her a less likely candidate.

Bigira (10/1, Unibet) – Despite modest maiden form, Bigira has placed in three of her four handicap starts, indicating potential to feature prominently.

Verdict

Instant Tendance appears hard to oppose given her recent unchallenged win at Kilbeggan and the fact that she remains on the same mark. Jumping Susie is also worth considering after her maiden win at Tramore. Red Ball Of Fire, with a strong record at this venue, could also be a significant player in this open race.

Ankud (9/2, bet365) – Showed early promise in bumpers and competed in strong maiden hurdles last year, making him one to watch here.

Herculaneum (4/1, Betvictor) – Despite a disappointing run on the flat last time, his consistent form in handicap hurdles suggests he could bounce back.

For Everyone (14/1, Unibet) – Best form was seen in juvenile hurdles in 2019. While he won a chase last year, his recent form has been poor.

Thunder (16/1, bet365) – After two falls over fences, his form has dipped since winning a maiden hurdle 13 months ago.

Full Noise (7/2, Betvictor) – The form of his second place at Navan in February has been well boosted by the winner Aodhan May, making him a solid contender.

Golden Sandbanks (10/1, Unibet) – Out of form since his all-weather win last November and struggled in recent starts, including at Tipperary on Thursday.

Win Some Lose Some (3/1, bet365) – Benefitted from better ground to win a 2m3f maiden at Kilbeggan, and his opening mark looks fair.

True Destiny (10/1, Betvictor) – Both hurdle wins have come at this track, but his form in two 2024 runs makes him hard to fancy.

Lakomet Of Saints (16/1, Unibet) – Running over fences lately, but his form has been below par since his fourth at Tramore in April.

Verdict

Full Noise is our top pick, with his second place at Navan being well advertised by the subsequent success of the winner. Win Some Lose Some has shown he can handle better ground and his mark looks fair, making him a strong contender. Ankud has potential based on his early promise and could spring a surprise.

Nevermindestranger (20/1, bet365) – Placed in a maiden at this track last summer, but recent efforts over fences have been disappointing, making him hard to recommend.

Snugsborough Benny (33/1, Betvictor) – This 14-year-old has been off since last August and, although he had decent form over fences a year ago, it is uncertain if he can replicate it.

Technology (14/1, Unibet) – Showed early promise for Alan King but lost form completely. Now relocated to Ireland, it’s hard to predict if he can bounce back.

Steps In The Sand (11/4, bet365) – Consistent performer, up 4lb for being runner-up at Punchestown and Roscommon. The step up in trip should not be an issue.

Ask The Leader (20/1, Betvictor) – Three-time hurdling winner at Downpatrick but has lost form since last year, including a poor comeback run.

Craic Eile (16/1, Unibet) – Exposed runner with no wins since 2021, and recent form has not been encouraging, including a poor run at Tramore this year.

Ilbdare (16/1, bet365) – Half-brother to a 1m1f winner, his debut run at Navan showed some potential. Now trying his luck in handicaps for the first time.

County Champs (20/1, Betvictor) – Struggled in maidens and finished a distant seventh here last month. May find handicaps more suitable.

Tropical Speed (12/1, Unibet) – Showed little in maidens but was a remote fourth in his handicap debut at Kilbeggan, indicating he might need more experience.

I Dont Lie (20/1, bet365) – Managed to finish closest in maidens when beaten 23 lengths at Ballinrobe. Sam Ewing’s presence is a plus for his handicap debut.

Mastermind (16/1, Betvictor) – Last won as a four-year-old, and his form since switching stables has been mixed.

Barbaha Queen (9/2, Unibet) – Recently in excellent form over fences, securing a good win at Clonmel with the help of this jockey.

Hollow Spark (6/1, bet365) – Showed significant improvement to finish third at Tramore after a 15-month layoff, but needs to prove consistency.

Falcon Park (13/2, Betvictor) – Best run when fourth at Clonmel in April. Now with Emmet Mullins, this change could bring about a revival.

Miala Araya (16/1, Unibet) – Showed moderate form last summer with a second place at Killarney and a decent run at Thurles in November.

Trim To Milan (28/1, bet365) – Modest form overall but had a reasonable run at Punchestown in November. Faces an uphill task here.

Verdict

The clear choice is Steps In The Sand, with consistent recent form and a favorable step up in trip. Barbaha Queen, in strong form over fences, poses a significant threat. Falcon Park could also be a contender following a promising change of yard to Emmet Mullins.

I Owe You One (14/1, bet365) – Although unfancied in maiden races, this horse’s dam has produced six jump winners, suggesting he could improve in handicaps.

La Hacienda (9/2, Betvictor) – Displayed her first promising hurdles form at Downpatrick, and the extra two furlongs could suit her well.

Moonlight Getaway (11/2, Unibet) – With seconds over hurdles and fences during the winter, he could be interesting on better ground if fit after a break.

Reel Her In (6/1, bet365) – Was well behind La Hacienda at Downpatrick but should improve with more racing experience.

Del Girl (4/1, Betvictor) – Showed a likeable attitude when just beaten on her third start in handicaps at Punchestown and could go one better here.

Road To The Weir (40/1, Unibet) – After a second in a point-to-point, he may have needed his first completed handicap start at Tipperary and could improve.

Pettigo (7/1, bet365) – Traveled well but didn’t stay the 2m6f trip at Downpatrick; the hood is added for this run, which might help.

Divilabother (12/1, Betvictor) – Consistent performances include a fourth at Down Royal and another solid run here. The step up in trip could suit.

Nurse Garvey (50/1, Unibet) – Made the frame in a pair of maidens last summer but has shown poor form in handicaps since.

Kilashee (14/1, bet365) – An exposed 9-year-old who won a chase at Clonmel last month but was tailed off over hurdles since.

Maxios Show (14/1, Betvictor) – Ran okay at Downpatrick previously and now joins a good stable in Cork, though he has been off for a year.

Roscomroe (12/1, Unibet) – This modest maiden showed his best form to date when second on return at Ballinrobe in early May.

Banada Bridge (25/1, bet365) – After being beaten by no more than a length in three successive 2m handicaps last year, his form has dipped recently.

Boxcar Molly (16/1, Betvictor) – Best effort was when fifth of 19 in headgear over 2m at Tipperary in April; needs to build on that.

Kiss My Lucky Egg (12/1, Unibet) – After a fair run at Naas in April and a placed effort at Roscommon, she could be in the mix again.

U Asking Me (25/1, bet365) – Point winner but has been beaten by over 20 lengths in all hurdle starts, making him hard to fancy.

Verdict

Our pick is Del Girl, who displayed a strong finish at Punchestown and should benefit from this trip. La Hacienda showed improvement last time and could continue on an upward trajectory. Moonlight Getaway also poses a threat if fit, considering his solid winter form.

Benny The Duke (25/1, bet365) – After winning a maiden at Ballinrobe, he has shown little since his return from a year off.

Flicker Of Hope (7/2, Betvictor) – Has won his last two starts at Clonmel and Wexford over 3 miles. He remains capable of further improvement and is a solid contender.

Mr Dibbs (8/1, Unibet) – Got his first win over hurdles at Kilbeggan in an ordinary maiden. He might find this step up in trip challenging but remains a noteworthy runner.

Outside The Door (12/1, bet365) – This 8-year-old’s best recent form was a second place in a 3m4f chase at Leopardstown in March. He needs to regain that form here.

Western Comandor (20/1, Betvictor) – A maiden hurdle winner who has shown poor form over fences since switching yards.

Housemartin (18/1, Unibet) – A winner at Clonmel over 2m1f on heavy ground last October but has shown little since. The trip is a concern.

I Am Spider Man (7/2, bet365) – Won decisively over 2m4f at this track last month. Now 10lb higher and needs to prove his stamina over this longer trip.

Sphagnum (10/1, Betvictor) – Ran well over fences at Roscommon recently and has a good record at this track.

Glendine Billy (9/1, Unibet) – Showed improvement when stepping up in trip to finish second at Tramore over 2m6f. This longer distance could suit him.

Early Arrival (9/2, bet365) – Benefited from a clever ride to win over 2m6f at Tramore. Could be a contender again if in similar form.

The Abbey (16/1, Betvictor) – An 11-year-old who is better known as a chaser. This trip might be too short for him.

Tom Kelly (25/1, Unibet) – Has shown modest form, making the frame in maidens last year. His second handicap run needs improvement.

Amaulino (33/1, bet365) – Hasn’t raced over hurdles since 2021 and looks far from his best form.

Miss Vivacious (16/1, Betvictor) – Was second on her handicap debut at Ballinrobe but has struggled since.

Mustameet Secret (12/1, Unibet) – A point winner whose best run was when second over this course and distance in October. Recently fourth at Cork.

Verdict

Flicker Of Hope is our pick, aiming to complete a hat-trick after his recent wins at Clonmel and Wexford. I Am Spider Man is a serious contender if he can handle the step up in trip. Glendine Billy is also worth watching, having shown improvement when stepped up in distance last time.

Apple’s Of Bresil (10/11, bet365) – Highly regarded, he finished a close third in a Navan bumper and third behind Ballyburn over hurdles. The addition of a tongue-tie could see him improve further.

Augusta George (20/1, Betvictor) – Managed a distant second in a Downpatrick bumper last month, but followed it up with a poor performance over hurdles the next day.

Chart Topper (3/1, Unibet) – Showed promise in two runs at Punchestown, particularly when third out of twenty in a strong field last time.

Iamagetaway (12/1, bet365) – Put in fair efforts in bumpers at top tracks in December. Despite the layoff, he should put in a credible performance here.

Kilroe Champ (50/1, Betvictor) – Was last and tailed off at Ballinrobe, making him hard to recommend.

Four Shares (50/1, Unibet) – His better hurdle performance came here in October but was still beaten by 20 lengths. He’s been off since.

Love Like This (25/1, bet365) – Finished fourth out of eight on debut at Downpatrick, beaten by 28 lengths. She has a lot to prove.

Ocean Brew (11/2, Betvictor) – A point winner who has run two solid races in mares’ bumpers. She might find it tougher here.

Our June (14/1, Unibet) – A homebred daughter of Court Cave, her dam was an unraced half-sister to a point winner, suggesting potential but lacks experience.

Rebel Molly (100/1, bet365) – Well beaten at Downpatrick, making her difficult to back.

Wild Mandate (8/1, Betvictor) – This local yard favorite has performed consistently in her four starts and faces males for the first time, which adds an extra challenge.

Verdict

Apple’s Of Bresil stands out with his strong form and could take this opportunity to win with the help of a tongue-tie. Chart Topper has shown potential and looks capable of being in the mix. Ocean Brew also merits consideration, having put in solid performances in her recent outings.
