Thank You Plumpton Members “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle (GBB Race)

 Winner £4,357, 2nd £2,007, 3rd £1,003, 4th £502

 4yo+, 5 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 2m 4f 114y , GOOD, Good to soft in places on Hurdle course (Watering) (Rail movements: 2.30 & 5.00 +93yds, 3.00 +66yds, 3.30 +69yds, 4.00 +115yds and 4.30 +99yds)

More Coko – 1/6 (Best odds: bet365)

A dominant force in this lineup, boasting an unbeaten record over hurdles. Representing the powerful Willie Mullins yard, the five-year-old has already proven his class with a string of wins. With Mr P W Mullins in the saddle, he should make light work of this assignment.

Drumheller – 66/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

Has struggled for consistency, failing to make much of an impact in recent runs. Nick Gifford’s six-year-old will need a huge improvement to feature here. Tabitha Worsley takes the ride, but a minor placing looks like the best possible outcome.

Old Cowboy – 7/2 (Best odds: Unibet)

A fair performer who has hit the frame multiple times but is yet to get his head in front. Gary & Josh Moore’s five-year-old will be partnered by Niall Houlihan, and while he lacks the class of the favourite, he should be the best of the rest.

Surrey Nemesis – 200/1 (Best odds: bet365)

Yet to show any meaningful form and pulled up last time out. Andy Irvine’s charge is stepping up in trip, but even with Marc Goldstein aboard, he looks up against it here.

Playaway Girl – 100/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

The only four-year-old in the race, Jim & Suzi Best’s filly has shown little to suggest she can challenge at this level. Harry Reed is on board, but a big step forward is required to make an impact.

Verdict

This looks like a straightforward task for More Coko, who has been flawless so far and should extend his winning streak without much trouble. Old Cowboy appears to be the only one capable of chasing him home, while Drumheller might sneak into third if performing better than he has recently.

Plumpton 15:00

Launching: Alfriston Hotel, Restaurant And Spa Handicap Hurdle

 Winner £3,829, 2nd £1,762, 3rd £881, 4th £441, 5th £220

 4yo+, 6 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 1m 7f 195y , SOFT, Heavy in places on Hurdle course (GoingStick: 5.5) (Rail movements: 1.40 & 2.12 +69yds, 2.45 +99yds, 3.15 & 3.47 +114yds, 4.22 +66yds and 4.52 +

Taxus Baccata – 6/1 (Best odds: bet365)

Showed promise earlier in the season but has found things tougher in recent outings. Matt Crawley’s seven-year-old has winning form in the book, and with Jack Quinlan booked to ride, a bounce-back effort could be on the cards.

Celtic Ned – 4/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

Gary & Josh Moore’s gelding has yet to get off the mark, but his performances have suggested a win isn’t far away. Niall Houlihan takes the reins, and if he can build on his recent efforts, he could be a big player.

J’Habite En France – 3/1 (Best odds: Unibet)

Ben Case’s six-year-old has been running with credit, securing a victory before producing a couple of respectable placed efforts. Stan Sheppard is a notable jockey booking, and with his experience, he looks primed for another solid performance.

Birdman Bob – 7/1 (Best odds: bet365)

A past course winner who has been running consistently without getting his head in front. Andy Irvine’s eight-year-old, with Ben Jones in the saddle, has the ability to be in the mix if things go his way.

Pescatorius – 11/4 (Best odds: Betvictor)

Has been in good form, producing a couple of strong performances recently. Harriet Dickin’s runner will be guided by Bradley Harris, and given his consistency, he has a strong chance of being involved in the finish.

Spicy Nelson – 11/1 (Best odds: Unibet)

Has yet to make a real impact over fences but represents a stable that often improves horses in this sphere. Joe Tizzard’s seven-year-old will have Freddie Gingell claiming 3lb, which could help his chances.

Clondaw Robin – 33/1 (Best odds: bet365)

A veteran at 12 years old, Andy Irvine’s runner has placed a few times recently but looks vulnerable against younger, improving rivals. Ellis Collier takes off a handy 5lb, but this could be a tough ask.

The Last Melon – 100/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

Struggled in recent runs and hasn’t shown enough to suggest he can be competitive here. James Bennett’s 13-year-old will be ridden by Will Featherstone, but he looks up against it.

Elzaaro – 20/1 (Best odds: Unibet)

Karen Jewell’s charge has not been in the best form lately and needs to produce a significantly improved performance to get involved. Marc Goldstein is booked to ride, but others look more appealing.

Can’t Buy Time – 66/1 (Best odds: bet365)

Cynthia Woods’ six-year-old has been struggling and has failed to complete in several recent runs. Tabitha Worsley takes the ride, but improvement is needed.

Verdict

Pescatorius has been showing consistent improvement and could be the one to beat if continuing his upward trend. J’Habite En France has also been in good form and should pose a strong challenge. Celtic Ned has been knocking on the door and shouldn’t be overlooked, while Birdman Bob could be a lively outsider if producing his best.

Plumpton 15:30

LGT Wealth Management Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase (For The Gay Kindersley Trophy) (GBB Race)

 Winner £5,464, 2nd £2,734, 3rd £1,365, 4th £684, 5th £341

 5yo+, 6 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 3m 1f 152y , SOFT, Heavy in places on Hurdle course (GoingStick: 5.5) (Rail movements: 1.40 & 2.12 +69yds, 2.45 +99yds, 3.15 & 3.47 +114yds, 4.22 +66yds and 4.52 +

Graham – 5/4 (Best odds: bet365)

Gary & Josh Moore’s five-year-old has yet to hit the frame but has shown enough potential to suggest a breakthrough win is within reach. Niall Houlihan takes the ride, and given the trainer’s strong record at this level, he looks a major contender.

Jorebel – 14/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

Chris Gordon’s runner has been inconsistent, with flashes of promise but no real end product. Freddie Gordon claims 3lb, and if he can produce a performance closer to his earlier form, he could be an interesting outsider.

Westtara – 40/1 (Best odds: Unibet)

A ten-year-old veteran of the field who has been struggling to make an impact. Diana Grissell’s runner will need a significant step up in performance, but Marc Goldstein’s experience in the saddle could help him find some improvement.

Lady Caro – 5/1 (Best odds: bet365)

Emma Lavelle’s seven-year-old has been knocking on the door without quite getting the job done. Ben Jones takes the ride, and with a bit of luck, she could be right in the mix for a place finish at the very least.

Character Testing – 6/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

A consistent performer who has been in the frame on multiple occasions. T Ellis’ four-year-old has been running well without managing to get his head in front, but with Mr Jack Andrews claiming 3lb, he could be a strong each-way option.

Early Morning Dew – 2/1 (Best odds: Unibet)

Lightly raced in recent times but has placed form that makes him a leading contender. Jim & Suzi Best’s nine-year-old will be guided by Jonjo O’Neill Jr, and if he retains his ability, he could be a big threat to the market leaders.

Verdict

Graham has been shaping like a horse ready to open his account and is the one to beat here. Early Morning Dew could be a major challenger if he rediscovers his best form, while Lady Caro has been running well enough to get involved. Character Testing has been consistent and shouldn’t be dismissed in what looks a tightly contested race behind the favourite.

Plumpton 16:00

BetGoodwin Sussex Stayers Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

 Winner £31,218, 2nd £14,352, 3rd £7,176, 4th £3,588, 5th £1,794, 6th £894

 4yo+, 9 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 3m 217y , SOFT, Heavy in places on Hurdle course (GoingStick: 5.5) (Rail movements: 1.40 & 2.12 +69yds, 2.45 +99yds, 3.15 & 3.47 +114yds, 4.22 +66yds and 4.52 +

Warranty – 13/2 (Best odds: bet365)

Sheena West’s experienced eight-year-old has shown glimpses of strong form, but his latest runs have been slightly underwhelming. With Marc Goldstein in the saddle, he has the ability to get involved if bouncing back to his best.

Rickety Bridge – 6/4 (Best odds: Betvictor)

Paul Nicholls’ six-year-old has been knocking on the door and comes into this contest after a runner-up effort. Freddie Gingell takes off a useful 3lb, and if he builds on his previous form, he should be a major player in this field.

Despereaux – 3/1 (Best odds: Unibet)

Had been progressing well before a below-par effort last time. Jane Williams’ runner, guided by Ciaran Gethings, drops in grade here, which could see him return to winning ways.

La Dolce Dolly – 10/3 (Best odds: bet365)

Andy Irvine’s six-year-old has been running respectably but has yet to show she stays this far. Niall Houlihan takes the ride, and if she handles the extended trip, she could be in the mix.

Limerick Leader – 8/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

A consistent performer who has been in the frame in recent starts. Alison Thorpe’s eight-year-old, ridden by Ben Jones, could be a lively each-way contender if he sees out the trip strongly.

Verdict

Despereaux is expected to bounce back in this slightly easier contest and should go close. Rickety Bridge has been in fine form and will be a major threat, while Warranty has the experience to put up a solid challenge. Limerick Leader looks like one to consider for an each-way bet if he handles the trip well.

Fantastikas – 9/2 (BetVictor)
Nigel Twiston-Davies’ 10-year-old has been consistent without breaking through this season. A return to longer distances could suit him, and with Mr. Toby McCain-Mitchell taking off valuable weight, he is a live contender.
Bet Now

Northern Poet – 11/4 (Bet365)
Nick Gifford’s experienced 10-year-old has finished second in his last two starts, showing that a win might not be far away. James Davies retains the partnership, and this proven stayer looks a strong contender here.
Bet Now

Invincible Nao – 9/4 (Unibet)
Gary & Josh Moore’s seven-year-old has been in excellent form this season, finishing a close second last time out. With Caoilin Quinn aboard, Invincible Nao has the potential to capitalize on his favorable mark and secure a deserved victory.
Bet Now

Morfee – 12/1 (BetVictor)
Seamus Mullins’ nine-year-old showed some improvement when finishing third last time out after a couple of disappointing runs. James Best takes the ride, and a return to his best form could see him sneak into the places.
Bet Now

Vision De Maine – 4/1 (Bet365)
David Pipe’s six-year-old produced a pair of wins earlier this season but pulled up on his latest outing. Jack Tudor rides again, and if the gelding can bounce back to his best, he has the ability to challenge at the business end of the race.
Bet Now

Whydah Gally – 8/1 (Unibet)
Joe Tizzard’s nine-year-old has been running respectably without making the frame in recent starts. Freddie Gingell takes the reins, and a step forward here could see him feature in the closing stages.
Bet Now

Verdict

Invincible Nao has been running consistently well and is tipped to land the spoils here under Caoilin Quinn. Northern Poet, with his strong staying credentials, should pose the biggest threat. Vision De Maine could bounce back to form after a rare below-par run, while Fantastikas and Whydah Gally offer solid each-way value for those seeking alternatives.

BetGoodwin Supports Jamie’s Farm Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

 Winner £5,809, 2nd £2,673, 3rd £1,337, 4th £669, 5th £333

 5yo+, 4 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 2m 214y , SOFT, Heavy in places on Hurdle course (GoingStick: 5.5) (Rail movements: 1.40 & 2.12 +69yds, 2.45 +99yds, 3.15 & 3.47 +114yds, 4.22 +66yds and 4.52 +

Mi Sueno – 20/1 (BetVictor)
Paddy Butler’s six-year-old has yet to find his best form this season, but his course-and-distance win last year cannot be ignored. Rob Hargreaves takes the ride, and the gelding could spring a surprise at long odds.
Bet Now

Tara Iti – 5/2 (Bet365)
Gary & Josh Moore’s consistent seven-year-old has been knocking on the door with a string of placed efforts. Freddie Mitchell partners him again, and this could be his chance to finally secure a well-deserved win.
Bet Now

Grasshopper Time – 7/1 (Unibet)
Alex Hales’ seven-year-old has been performing respectably in recent starts and remains competitive at this level. With Harry Bannister in the saddle, he looks capable of putting in another solid effort.
Bet Now

Mount Washington – 16/1 (BetVictor)
Evan Williams’ six-year-old hasn’t been able to land a blow this season, but his trainer often gets improvement out of horses at this stage. Conor Ring takes the ride, and the gelding might sneak into the frame with a better performance.
Bet Now

Eliza Dolittle – 11/4 (Bet365)
Nick Gifford’s mare arrives on the back of a confidence-boosting win, and Tabitha Worsley retains the ride. With her stamina proven, she’ll be looking to follow up in a competitive field.
Bet Now

Pooroldmackley – 25/1 (Unibet)
Another of Evan Williams’ runners, this six-year-old has shown very little this season but remains lightly raced. Miss Eleanor Williams takes off valuable weight, and this gelding might improve for a more patient ride.
Bet Now

Gorcombe Moonshine – 9/2 (BetVictor)
Robert Walford’s eight-year-old has been in consistent form this season, regularly finishing in the frame. Harry Kimber takes the reins again, and this experienced runner looks set to challenge for top honors.
Bet Now

Rapid Mission – 9/1 (Bet365)
Anthony Charlton’s four-year-old has shown potential but remains largely unproven. James Best is in the saddle, and while this young gelding is up against more seasoned rivals, his weight allowance could see him run well.
Bet Now

Sawpit Samantha – 9/1 (Unibet)
Jo Davis’ seven-year-old has shown glimpses of promise, including a solid third-place finish last time out. Gavin Sheehan is back on board, and with a clean round of jumping, she could finish in the mix.
Bet Now

Verdict

Tara Iti has been ultra-consistent and deserves to get his head in front in this contest, but he’ll face stiff competition from Eliza Dolittle, who looks primed for another big performance after her recent win. Gorcombe Moonshine has the experience to feature prominently, while Grasshopper Time and Rapid Mission offer good value for each-way backers. For those seeking a longshot, Mi Sueno’s course-and-distance form could make him an intriguing outsider.
