Perugia to win
Perugia v Reggiana
Reason for tip

Despite Reggiana's strong form and superior stats, Perugia's home advantage and the value on their win at 3.00 offer an appealing angle. Perugia's defensive struggles suggest a tough match, but their motivation to improve league standing and exploit home conditions could see them edge this encounter. While Reggiana are favourites, Perugia's potential to capitalise on key moments and the price available make backing them to win a considered risk with upside.

Sunday’s football spans two competitions and three countries, with four fixtures producing four separate arguments for an afternoon accumulator. Serie C’s Group B provides one of the legs, where a specific personnel absence in the visiting side shapes the context alongside recent form. The Nations League supplies the other three — a low-scoring competition opener between two sides whose competitive attacking records are similarly limited, Serbia hosting Dutch opponents whose Thursday expected goals figures told a different story than the scoreline, and a Liechtenstein side who could not register a single shot on target in their most recent match, making Malta’s defensive record far less relevant than it might otherwise appear. Four separate arguments — here is the evidence behind each one.

Sunday’s Four-Fold Accumulator Selections

Perugia Calcio v Reggiana

Perugia’s home record — two wins from four Serie C fixtures at Stadio Renato Curi — provides the most credible foundation for this selection, though the context around that record needs to be stated clearly. Their most recent home league match ended in a 3-0 defeat to Spezia, and across their last three Serie C outings, Perugia have failed to score at all. Three consecutive defeats by a margin of two or more goals point towards a side whose difficulties are not confined to their travels.

What shifts the analysis, however modestly, is Bozhidarov Papazov’s suspension. The Reggiana defender misses Sunday through a card ban, leaving the visitors with a gap in their backline at a moment when Perugia need to rediscover some finishing accuracy after three scoreless league matches. Reggiana’s away form offers one additional piece of context: two wins, one draw and one defeat from four matches on the road means they have dropped points on their travels even during their broader unbeaten sequence. The only available head-to-head result between these clubs — a 3-1 home win for Perugia — adds a historical reference, though a Coppa Italia match from 2015 provides thin evidence in a Serie C fixture eleven years later.

The honest picture is that the weight of evidence points away from this selection. Reggiana are unbeaten across all six of their Serie C fixtures this season, average two goals per game and lead Perugia by seven points in Group B. Perugia are also without midfielder Mėgelaitis, who is sidelined with a knee ligament injury. The case rests on a home advantage with a complicated recent record and a single suspended Reggiana defender. That is what the evidence provides, and it deserves to be read accordingly.

Best bet: Perugia to win

Gibraltar v Andorra

Three matches without defeat and eight goals across friendly victories over the British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands have improved the mood around Scott Wiseman’s Gibraltar side. The competitive record tells a rather different story. Gibraltar have lost their last 10 competitive matches, averaging 0.3 goals per game from three attempts and one shot on target across that sequence. They have also lost 17 of their last 20 competitive home fixtures — a long-term record that places the friendly revival in important context as they return to Nations League football.

Andorra provide little attacking counterweight to the under market. Koldo Alvarez’s team average 0.4 goals from 4.9 attempts across their last 10 competitive fixtures — a conversion rate that reflects persistent difficulty in turning territorial presence into goals. Thursday’s 2-1 defeat to Malta was arguably one of their more productive competitive performances: Guillaume Lopez scored after 17 minutes, five shots found the target and Andorra held a lead until Teddy Teuma’s winner nine minutes from time. Even so, the broader picture — eight defeats and two draws from their last 10 competitive matches — carries considerably more weight than one encouraging evening.

The under market’s risk lies in Gibraltar’s recent friendly output and Andorra’s two goals against Malta. A return to competitive football can produce unpredictable results when recent friendlies have built momentum. However, three of Gibraltar’s last four competitive defeats against Montenegro and Latvia were settled by a single goal, suggesting their official matches have tended to stay tight regardless of the result. With neither side averaging above 0.4 goals per game in competitive football, the foundation for a low-scoring match rests on genuine evidence rather than a single outlier.

Best bet: Under 2.5 Goals

Serbia v Netherlands

Ten consecutive matches without a clean sheet — a run stretching back to September 2025 — frames Serbia’s Nations League opener with considerable precision. Thursday’s home defeat to Greece illustrated the problem rather than introduced it. Andrija Zivkovic put Serbia in front after four minutes, yet Veljko Paunovic’s side could not protect the lead. Second-half goals from Christos Tzolis and Anastasios Douvikas completed a 2-1 turnaround, with Greece generating 2.51 expected goals in the process. It was Serbia’s fourth defeat in five matches during 2026, and every one of those five fixtures produced at least three total goals — a pattern that reflects how consistently their games have escaped defensive control, not just in defeat.

The Netherlands arrive with attacking evidence that outpaces their result against Germany. Xavi’s first match in charge produced 3.18 expected goals in a 1-1 draw — a figure that substantially exceeded the single Cody Gakpo goal it generated. Oranje have gone six matches unbeaten in normal time since losing to Algeria, with their last nine victories each producing at least three total goals. Dusan Vlahovic’s calf injury removes Serbia’s most prominent forward, though Luka Jovic and Dusan Tadic remain available, and Zivkovic’s opener against Greece is a reminder that routes to goal exist even for a side in poor form.

The Dutch carry their own vulnerabilities. Brian Brobbey is absent through a hamstring injury, Memphis Depay was not selected, and Mexx Meerdink could be handed a first international start at centre-forward. More relevantly for this market, the Netherlands have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine matches during 2026, which keeps Serbia in the contest regardless of the overall direction. Yet that consideration is considerably smaller than the one facing Paunovic’s defence. A side without a clean sheet in ten attempts hosting opponents who generated 3.18 expected goals against Germany last Thursday — the case for the away win is built on something more than reputation alone.

Best bet: Netherlands to win

Malta v Liechtenstein

The summary of Liechtenstein’s Nations League opener against Lithuania is brief: four shots, zero on target, 27% possession, two goals conceded. Lukas Michelbrink and Artūr Dolžnikov scored in the second half, and Liechtenstein offered nothing to suggest they could prevent it. That result extended a run of six consecutive defeats in which they have conceded 14 goals — an average comfortably above two per match across a sustained losing sequence.

Malta’s Thursday performance against Andorra demonstrated something different in character. Trailing to Guillaume Lopez’s 17th-minute goal, they recovered through Irvin Cardona before Teddy Teuma secured a 2-1 win with nine minutes remaining. Finishing with 59% possession and eight of 13 attempts on target — against an Andorra side who led, created and scored — carries more analytical weight than a comfortable win against passive opposition would. Malta came from behind against a side with a functioning attack and managed it.

Malta’s defensive record is the honest complication: conceding in five of their last six matches and letting in 11 goals across that run is not the profile of a side that defends reliably. Against teams with a genuine attacking threat, that matters. Against a Liechtenstein side who registered nothing on target in 90 minutes against Lithuania, the concern is substantially reduced. Malta’s performance on Thursday showed they can press, score and win competitive matches; Liechtenstein’s showed the opposite. Those contrasting returns from the opening round of fixtures make the case for this selection the most straightforwardly supported of the four — though Malta’s defensive numbers are a sufficient reminder that nothing in football is entirely without risk.

Best bet: Malta to win
