Live Sports At Fleet Street Newcastle Mares’ Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

 Winner £4,193, 2nd £1,932, 3rd £966, 4th £484

 4yo+, 6 Runners

 Jumps,Turf , 2m 4f 62y , GOOD, Good to soft in places (GoingStick: 7.1) (Watering) (Rail movements: 2.30, 4.00 & 4.30 +67yds, 3.00 & 3.30 +82yds and 5.00 +50yds)

1. Bishop Hill – Best odds: 7/4 – bet365

Has been knocking at the door in similar company, placing on three of her last four starts. She brings both experience and reliability to the table, though her finishing efforts have lacked a spark at times. If conditions remain manageable, she’ll be in the mix once more.
Tip: A consistent contender, though vulnerable to something with a stronger finish.

2. Ena’s Choice – Best odds: 50/1 – BetVictor

Has yet to complete a clean round of jumping and brings little in terms of form to inspire confidence. Struggled badly in prior efforts and would need a dramatic improvement to figure here.
Tip: Looks an unlikely player based on her current record.

3. Generous Scorpion – Best odds: 13/2 – Unibet

Regularly gives her running without managing to land a blow in the closing stages. Third-placed finishes have been respectable, but she’s not shown the gear change needed to take command late on. Place claims, but may fall short when it matters.
Tip: Honest type who may once again fill the frame.

4. Inta – Best odds: 50/1 – bet365

Lightly raced and yet to offer clear signs of competitiveness. Although she’s still learning, there’s been little to suggest a breakthrough is imminent. Likely to need more time or a drop in class.
Tip: Hard to fancy unless showing dramatic progress.

5. Parisian Fashion – Best odds: 11/4 – BetVictor

Displayed plenty of promise when scoring in a bumper and has taken well enough to hurdles since. Fourth last time in a stronger race and could improve now stepped back up in distance. Represents a stable in good touch and is open to progress.
Tip: Major player with further improvement likely.

6. Wendywilldo – Best odds: 2/1 – bet365

Boasts the most convincing profile among this group, having been placed in solid novice company and showing a determined attitude. One of the few with winning experience in bumpers, and her recent form suggests she’s ready to strike over hurdles.
Tip: The one to beat if building on last effort.

Verdict

Wendywilldo has shaped like a mare ready to get off the mark over timber and her bumper form gives her a slight edge over these rivals. However, Parisian Fashion could pose a serious threat if improving for the return to this trip. Bishop Hill should again be in contention, though she looks more likely to place than win. Generous Scorpion is another reliable sort who may pick up the pieces if others falter, but lacks a cutting edge.

1. Community Rebel – Best odds: 13/8 – bet365

Returned from an absence to post a much-improved second on his first go over fences at this track. Looks to have turned a corner after previous setbacks and clearly benefited from the switch to chasing. Capable of going one better if in similar heart.
Tip: Strong contender and clearly on the up.

2. Giveupyerauldsins – Best odds: 25/1 – Unibet

Struck gold earlier in the season but hasn’t backed it up, and recent form is underwhelming. Pulled up last time out and hard to trust on current evidence. Needs a spark to rekindle his best form.
Tip: Others arrive with stronger recent profiles.

3. Shesupincourt – Best odds: 10/3 – BetVictor

Progressive mare who followed up a breakthrough win with a solid second. Form is heading in the right direction, and she seems to enjoy the longer trip. Still has more to offer and should be taken seriously once again.
Tip: On the shortlist – arrives in excellent shape.

4. Mobile Mamma – Best odds: 8/1 – bet365

Won a modest affair earlier in the campaign but hasn’t built on it. Most recent runs have lacked fluency, and her jumping remains a concern. Others seem better equipped for today’s stamina test.
Tip: Hard to recommend based on latest efforts.

5. Deep Strato – Best odds: 13/2 – Unibet

Lightly raced over fences and still finding his feet in this sphere. Pulled up when last seen, though earlier fourth hinted at promise. Has scope but needs a step forward to get involved in the finish.
Tip: Could sneak into the frame if improving his jumping.

6. Thatsy – Best odds: 7/1 – bet365

Veteran campaigner who has become a regular fixture in similar events. While he tends to stay on, he often finds himself outpaced at key moments. Might plod into a place if the race falls apart late on.
Tip: Each-way possibilities at a price.

7. Toombridge – Best odds: 5/1 – BetVictor

Has shown flashes of ability, including when running well before falling two out last time. Remains a bit of an enigma but certainly possesses the tools to win at this level. Capable if putting in a clean round.
Tip: Not without a chance – could surprise if staying on his feet.

Verdict

Shesupincourt is trending the right way and may have more progression in her locker, but Toombridge has caught the eye with his recent displays and may be ready to strike if avoiding errors. Community Rebel demands attention after a strong reappearance and is clearly a big threat. Deep Strato and Thatsy could grab minor honours if things fall right, though consistency remains a question mark.

Extra Winnings With BetUK Acca Club Novice Stakes (GBB Race)

 Winner £3,942, 2nd £1,851, 3rd £926, 4th £463

 3yo+, 4 Runners

 Flat,Tapeta , 6f , TAPETA: STANDARD

1. Kilmore Rock – Best odds: 3/1 – bet365

Scored earlier this season but his recent outings have been far less inspiring, including a lacklustre effort when sixth last time. The ability is there, but consistency remains elusive. Has claims if bouncing back to earlier form.
Tip: Capable, but a risky betting proposition.

2. Adveram – Best odds: 13/8 – BetVictor

Arrives with the strongest overall profile in this lineup, having placed in better races and holding his form relatively well. With Brian Hughes back in the saddle and a workable mark, he’s the one others have to match.
Tip: Reliable contender and sets the standard on recent form.

3. Killybegs Jet Lady – Best odds: 11/4 – Unibet

Hasn’t been far away on a couple of recent tries, and shaped as if this longer trip could be within reach. Lightly raced for her age and appears to have more to give. Could be a serious player if building on recent efforts.
Tip: Major threat if she stays the distance well.

4. So Ladylike – Best odds: 13/2 – bet365

Made all to win two starts ago but couldn’t replicate that form subsequently. Will need to step up again to challenge here, especially from out of the weights. However, she’s tough and could give her running if granted an easy lead.
Tip: Might run better than her odds suggest – not dismissed.

5. Teddy Mac – Best odds: 16/1 – BetVictor

Been knocking about in similar races without much joy and was pulled up on his latest attempt. The handicapper has offered some relief, but a turnaround in form is required. Faces a stiff challenge here.
Tip: Difficult to fancy with confidence at present.

6. Angus De Bull – Best odds: 12/1 – bet365

Returned from a long break to show glimpses of ability but remains well out of the weights and hard to weigh up. Would need to find a chunk of improvement to get seriously involved.
Tip: Has questions to answer – others preferred.

Verdict

Adveram looks the most trustworthy option in this field, boasting solid runs in higher grades and now facing weaker opposition. However, Killybegs Jet Lady has caught the eye of late and could take a big step forward over this distance. Kilmore Rock can’t be ruled out if he returns to peak form, while So Ladylike is another that could make her presence felt if allowed a soft lead. Teddy Mac and Angus De Bull need to show more to trouble the principals.

1. Turquino – Best odds: 1/2 (bet365)
Back with bet365
Impressive on debut at Southwell, powering home with plenty in hand. Carries a penalty here but looks a class apart. Callum Hutchinson stays in the saddle, and this Andrew Balding-trained colt should take plenty of beating once again.

2. Cascade Hall – Best odds: 33/1 (Betvictor)
Back with Betvictor
Has shown little on the Flat so far and makes limited appeal here. Unless finding sudden improvement, he looks set for another minor role.

3. Fabuleux Du Clos – Best odds: 33/1 (Unibet)
Back with Unibet
Primarily a jumps performer and unlikely to show enough pace on the Flat to trouble the principals. Best watched in this company.

4. Jysuis – Best odds: 100/1 (bet365)
Back with bet365
Showed little on either code and looks out of his depth here. Likely to finish well down the field.

5. Destination Unkown – Best odds: 33/1 (Betvictor)
Back with Betvictor
This Grant Tuer-trained runner makes his debut and will probably need the experience. Likely to improve in handicaps later on but hard to recommend today.

6. Don Simon – Best odds: 11/4 (Unibet)
Back with Unibet
Showed steady progress last season, and though still learning, he looks the most likely to challenge the favourite. Rossa Ryan takes over in the saddle, and the horse may well improve further this year.

7. Inspire Hope – Best odds: 8/1 (bet365)
Back with bet365
A dual-purpose type who has shown glimpses of ability but will need to step up to get involved here. Andrew Mullen takes the ride, and a place effort would be a good result.

Verdict

It’s hard to oppose Turquino, who made a deep impression with a comfortable debut victory and should be too strong once again. Don Simon appears the most credible threat and should run with credit if progressing. Inspire Hope may be best of the rest, capable of grabbing a place if things fall right.

Bay Of Dreams – 6/1 (Best odds: bet365)

Has only had a handful of runs and shaped as though further improvement is possible. James Ferguson’s runner, ridden by Saffie Osborne, is stepping up in trip and could be an interesting contender if handling the extra distance.

Miakoda – 6/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

Yet to break his maiden but has been running consistently in similar company. James Owen’s three-year-old will be guided by Hector Crouch, and if everything falls into place, he could be a factor in the finish.

Zadkiel – 12/1 (Best odds: Unibet)

Jennie Candlish’s runner has struggled to make an impression in recent outings. George Wood takes the ride, but a step forward is needed to challenge the main contenders.

Precious Spartan – 12/1 (Best odds: bet365)

Nigel Tinkler’s colt produced a decent effort two starts ago but hasn’t built on that since. Rowan Scott is booked for the ride, and if he bounces back, he could be capable of outrunning his odds.

Hashtagnotions – 10/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

Managed to get his head in front last season but has struggled for consistency. Richard Fahey’s runner, with Oisin Orr aboard, could find himself in the mix if returning to his best form.

No Release – 4/1 (Best odds: Unibet)

Has put together a string of solid performances without managing to win. Ed Dunlop’s gelding will be ridden by P J McDonald and is likely to be thereabouts once again.

The Kamikaze King – 8/1 (Best odds: bet365)

Dylan Cunha’s three-year-old has been improving with each run and could be ready to strike. Kyle Strydom takes the ride, and given the stable’s recent form, he might be capable of landing a first career win.

Magna – 5/1 (Best odds: Betvictor)

Has finished as runner-up in his last two starts and appears to be heading in the right direction. Tony Carroll’s runner, with Jack Doughty claiming 3lb, could go one better if he maintains his progression.

U S Grant – 5/1 (Best odds: Unibet)

Kevin Ryan’s colt has yet to deliver on his potential but is expected to improve. Tom Eaves is in the saddle, and if the step up in trip suits, he could be a lively contender.

Verdict

The Kamikaze King has shown steady progress and could be ready to break his maiden for an in-form yard. No Release has been running consistently well and should be a major challenger. Magna has been knocking on the door and could finally get his reward, while U S Grant is an unknown quantity who could surprise if improving for this trip.

Demoiselle Kap – 11/10 (Best odds at bet365)

Bounced back to winning ways last time out and looks well placed to follow up. If she maintains that level of form, she could be hard to stop.

Fia Fuinidh – 8/1 (Best odds at Unibet)

Has been running consistently in defeat but needs to find more to challenge the leading contenders. A solid each-way prospect if stepping up.

Six One Nine – 13/2 (Best odds at Betvictor)

A course winner who has shown ability at this level. Needs to improve on recent efforts but has the experience to be competitive.

Flash Du Pistolet – 8/1 (Best odds at bet365)

Has been running with credit without quite managing to get his head in front. If he builds on his recent efforts, he could be a factor.

Diamond Mix – 33/1 (Best odds at Unibet)

Struggled to land a blow in recent outings and would need a career-best performance to feature here. Others preferred.

Valleyview Tommy – 14/1 (Best odds at Betvictor)

Has shown glimpses of promise but remains inconsistent. Will need a strong performance to make an impact in this field.

Ensel Du Perche – 11/4 (Best odds at bet365)

A recent winner who could be dangerous if repeating that effort. Likely to be in the thick of things if conditions suit.

Kuma Beach – 50/1 (Best odds at Unibet)

Yet to show much in this sphere and looks up against it. Would need a significant improvement to be competitive.

Brickadank – 50/1 (Best odds at Betvictor)

Has struggled in recent runs and needs a major turnaround in form. Likely to find this too tough.

Verdict

Demoiselle Kap arrives in great form and is well positioned to make it two wins in a row. Ensel Du Perche could provide the biggest challenge if maintaining his recent performance, while Six One Nine has enough ability to be in the mix. Flash Du Pistolet could also sneak into the places with a strong effort.

Call To Account – 10/1 (Best odds at Betvictor)

A newcomer representing a stable that has had success in these events. Market support would be encouraging, but it’s difficult to gauge his ability without racecourse experience.

Conman John – 9/4 (Best odds at Unibet)

Has already tasted success, winning last time out, and brings solid credentials into this contest. Should be right in the mix if building on that effort.

Dramatic License – 13/8 (Best odds at bet365)

Finished runner-up last time and has been progressing well. Likely to go close again and sets a strong standard based on form.

King Kodiak – 20/1 (Best odds at Betvictor)

Showed little in his sole start and will need to take a major step forward to feature in this company. Others are preferred.

Li Shang – 33/1 (Best odds at bet365)

Yet to make a real impact in his appearances so far. Will need to produce a significantly better effort to challenge here.

Rivers Of Whiskey – 16/1 (Best odds at Unibet)

Lightly raced and showed some potential last time out. Could be one to watch at a bigger price if continuing to improve.

Upon Tweed – 5/1 (Best odds at bet365)

Represents a respected yard and could be open to further progress. If stepping up from his debut, he could be a lively contender.

Western Mount – 20/1 (Best odds at Betvictor)

Yet to show enough to suggest he will play a major role. Likely to need more time before making an impact in races like this.

Loveatfirstglance – 8/1 (Best odds at Unibet)

Represents a capable yard and could have potential. If handling conditions well, he could be a dark horse in this field.

Verdict

Dramatic License has been progressing well and looks the one to beat. Conman John is another with solid credentials and could be his biggest challenger, while Upon Tweed has potential for improvement and could offer value. Loveatfirstglance might also be worth considering as an outsider with each-way potential.
