Werder Bremen vs Bayer Leverkusen betting tips, predictions for this German Bundesliga Monday night affair. Bremen are sitting second from bottom, eight points adrift safety. Can they get a positive result on their restart against Champions League football chaser Leverkusen? Read below our German Bundesliga betting tips and predictions.
Werder Bremen are in a desperate situation
It has been a dreadful campaign so far for Werder Bremen, and the risk of being relegated is substantial. Die Werderaner are currently in the automatic relegation position and are five points adrift Fortuna Dusseldorf who occupy the playout position and eight points from Mainz who are in the last safe place. They will be hoping that the break would have benefitted them as when things were halted, Kohfeldt’s men were on a free fall.
At the Weserstadion they have won only once this season, with eight defeats out of the eleven matches played. Werder Bremen are winless in their last six matches and have conceded at least one goal in all their home matches. Problems have been in both areas of the field, with the attack that has been able to guarantee only 0.73 goals per home game, while the defence has been very porous with 2.36 goals shipped per home match.
Bayer Leverkusen keen to pick up from where they have left
After what can be defined as an inconsistent first part of the Bundesliga campaign, Bayer Levekusen have stepped up and before the break they were in the form of their life. In their last eight games, they have won six with just one defeat and the only draw that came against title hopefuls RB Leipzig.
On the road, they have also been solid with seven wins out of the twelve trips made and four defeats. With players of the quality of Volland (9 goals), Alario (6 golas) and Havertz (6 goals) scoring goals hasn’t been a problem for Bosz’s team. Leverkusen have netted in all of their last nine games and chances are they will extend their run against Die Werderaner’s permeable backline.
