Main Bet: Abraham Ancer

Our main bet for this edition of the Wells Fargo Championship is Abraham Ancer, which is one of the three top 20s in the world present in this week’s field. Ancer finished second to McIlroy at this event last year and followed that with a win in the WGC at Southwind. That course has lots of correlations with this week’s one, and the same can be said for TPC Potomac, where he landed a fourth place in 2018.

Woodland (Each-Way) To Win

Each-way Bet: Gary Woodland

This week, the second selection we have picked is Gary Woodland, who is coming on the back of a positive performance in Mexico. He ranked sixth in strokes-gained tee-to-green there and has managed to extend his run of top-25 finishes to a total of six events if we exclude Augusta and Sawgrass. He will be very motivated to do well and win again after his success in the 2019 US Open. He played well here in 2018, and his fundamentals remain strong. The way he performed last week is a vital sign that he can at least be in contention here, and at this price, he certainly looks a great value for an each-way punt.
