Main Bet: Webb Simpson

Webb Simpson has been keen to win this tournament for a very long time. He is a member at Quail Hollow and lives just a mile away, and so far, he finished runner up in 2015 and fourth in 2012, after he was the 54-hole leader. In the last two renewals, he has recorded a tied 21 and tied 18.

He has been very consistent in North Carolina, and this year he is coming in excellent form too. After a remarkable 12 place at Augusta National, the former US Open champion finished tied ninth at The Heritage. In this event putting and Par 4 Scoring are key metrics, and in both of them, Simpson is ranking pretty high. Considering all those credentials, we believe there is excellent value on the local man, and we are backing him to succeed here finally.

Each Way Bet: Stewart Cink

There is always great value when looking at odds for Steward Cink, and we believe he can well be in contention this year. Cink has had a top record at Quail Hollow in recent times as he had seven finishes of tied 26th or better in the last 10 events. He has been fifth, eight and ninth even though he has played here only once since finishing 20th in 2015. Looking at his recent performances, we believe Cink has what it takes to deliver here. At Augusta, he ranked 27th for Driving Distance and also is 1st for Greens In Regulation. So to summarise, he is playing with great confidence, is in great form and has course form, so at this price, it makes complete sense to back him to back him with an each-way punt.
