Weekend Football Predictions | The value is with Barcelona!
Hi all. Unfortunately, Arsenal crushed our previous weekend accumulator dropping a two-goal cushion in the match against Watford away at Vicarage Road Stadium. It was the last match in the acca and everything went right when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged the first-half brace, but the Hornets came back to earn an important point with two second-half goals.
The other two bets landed with ease. We backed the Over 3.5 goals FT pick in the clash between Norwich City and Manchester City. The Canaries shocked the reigning champions 3-2 at Carrow Road on the occasion. Finally, we went for goals at both ends in the affair between Bournemouth and Everton. The Cherries celebrated a 3-1 victory at their Vitality Stadium.
Here is the new weekend treble after a one-week break:
#1 Tottenham v Southampton
Tottenham will be looking to bring a poor three-game winless streak to an end on Saturday when they host Southampton in London. The Spurs sit at a disappointing 8th position after the opening 6 rounds of the new season and they can’t afford any more failures. The Saints are by no means a team Mauricio Pochettino’s side should be afraid of. We believe Harry Kane & company will secure a confidence-boosting victory for the Spurs here.
The first bet is Tottenham to win at the odds of 2/5!
#2 Getafe v Barcelona
Barcelona are on a dreadful streak of six losses and two draws away from home in all competitions, counting the finish of the last season. They have a perfect record at Camp Nou with three wins in three games but are yet to claim their inaugural victory on the road. Even though Lionel Messi will likely miss the tie and in spite of the team’s poor away form, we just can’t stay immune on the 5/6 odds offered for the defending champions to beat the likes of Getafe. The Catalans won six and drew one of the last seven head to head meetings with Getafe.
The second pick is Barcelona to win at the odds of 5/6!
#3 Leicester v Newcastle
Leicester have a great chance to complete the perfect week with the third subsequent victory on Sunday against Newcastle United. The Foxes climbed up to the third place in the Premier League ladder after beating Tottenham Hotspur last weekend at King Power Stadium. They demolished Luton Town 0-4 on the road in the mid-week’s League Cup outing. The Magpies are winless in the last four games in all competitions. They were completely outplayed by Brighton & Hove Albion in the last weekend’s goalless draw at St. James’ Park. We don’t see the visitors as a threat to the in-form Leicester City side.
The last bet is Leicester City to win at the odds of 1/2!
