After three second places at 4/1, 7/2 and 15/2 yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Wednesday 27th September. Sept P&L +15.36pts.
4:30 Perth- Woodfort 15/2 (1pt ew) *price when tipped on twitter
Woodfort is 0-7 over hurdles but could be feasibly treated on his handicap debut in this race. He ran consistently well on all starts last season apart from when unseating his rider when badly hampered on his third start over hurdles. He looks a horse that could have progressed over the summer and he returns on handicap debut off a mark of 117 and that looks fair.
5:40 Kempton- Silver Bullet 4/1 (0.5pt ew)
Silver Bullet has been unlucky in her last two starts and has been dropped 2lb by the handicapper as a result of finishing only 4th and 8th. She was poorly drawn when running at Kempton over 6f and had to be held up as a result. She kept on well up the inside and passed about five runners up the straight finishing nearest at the finish. She then ran at Wolverhampton over 6f again but was slowly into stride and got blocked in her run when attempting to make ground up the rail. Returning back to Kempton over an extra furlong looks a good move and the early market agrees as she has been backed from 15/2 into a general 4/1 shot. Some bookmakers are offering 4 places on the race so make sure you shop around of best odds/ ew terms.
