After drawing a blank yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Wednesday 16th May. P&L +32.16pts.
3:30 York- Harry Angel 4/5 (5pt)
Harry Angel is my favourite horse in training and I fully expect him to win on his reappearance this season. He has a perfect record away from Ascot with his victories coming in Group 2s at Newbury and Haydock and Group1s at Newmarket and Haydock. In the past, 3 year old sprinters have struggled against their elders but Harry Angel still managed to win the July Cup and Haydock Sprint Cup last season. He has to concede a 5lb penalty on his reappearance this season but he is still clear on ratings and I will be very disappointed if he was beaten.
8:25 Bath- Choral Music 4/1 (1pt ew)
Choral Music is a filly that my family bred and still own, which makes her two victories this season even more rewarding. That said, she looks to have another good chance in this race off only 4lb higher in this race. She won off a mark of 54 two starts ago and then followed up off 2lb higher last time at Yarmouth on soft ground. Choral Music has a fast ground action so she looks sure to be better suited by the firm going in this race and I would be disappointed if she is out of the top 4.
