There was plenty of hype surrounding Quargent before she made her debut on July Cup day at Newmarket in a maiden that Jeremy Noseda had previously ran stable star Nemoralia in the year before. She was sent off 6/1 third favourite for the race and travelled well before suffering slight interference and weakening in the final furlong. The race has worked out well with three subsequent winners coming from the race and the third placed horse finishing second in a Group 2 after. The horses with previous experience do not look the best and with the well connected Cavatina drawn wide in Stall 9, this looks a great opportunity for Quargent to win on her second start. She has been well backed since posted on twitter and is now as short as 6/4 in a place so confidence is high to give us a much needed winner.
