Thank goodness we are back! Steve Ryder previews two races on Wednesday 13th February. P&L +23.51pts.
2:00 Southwell- Tasaaboq 25/1 (0.5pt ew)
Tasaaboq has run well at Southwell on multiple occasions, placing off marks of 50, 54 and 52 before finishing 3rd in a seller here two starts ago. He runs here in a Class 6 apprentice handicap over 6f and the extra furlong in comparison to last time looks sure to suit.
Tasaaboq is well handicapped on his previous form off a mark of 45 and with Grace McEntee claiming a further 7lb off his back, he should go well.
2:35 Fairyhouse- Moyhenna 11/8 (2pt)
Miss Tata won her previous five races but looks worth opposing on her first start for 777 days with Moyhenna. She was a consistent mare over hurdles but looks to have improved for a switch to chasing this season. She ran well on her reappearance to finish 2nd to Camelia De Cotte in a Grade 3 novice chase with that rival boosting the form by winning a Grade 2 on her next start by 20 lengths. Moyhenna finished 2nd last time behind another Willie Mullins trained mare Pravalaguna who won a listed race by 14 lengths at the weekend.
If Moyhenna runs to same level in this race then she should prove hard to beat given the question marks about the fitness of Missy Tata after such a long layoff.
