Following a disappointing day yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Wednesday 12th June. P&L +69.38pts.
4:50 Haydock- Moon King 13/8 (1pt)
Moon King has looked really progressive since stepping up in trip this season with victories at Wetherby and Nottingham. He won by four lengths on his first start over 1m6f in April off a mark of 60 before following up over the same C&D off a mark of 66.
Moon King won at Nottingham over 1m6f off a mark of 70 seven days ago by four lengths and should be able to defy a 6lb rise in the handicap.
8:00 Hamilton- Samstar 9/2 (1pt)
Samstar has only ran over trips longer than 1m2f since making her debut in March this year. She made her handicap debut off a mark of 60 at Pontefract where she took the lead 2f out before weakening into 3rd late on. She made the running last time at Brighton where again she was leading 2f out before weakening into 6th having been hampered.
Samstar drops down a mile for this race which looks sure to suit and she should go well.
