After a close second yesterday, Steve Ryder previews three races on Wednesday 11th October. October P&L +29.10pts. Apologies for the late post, it failed to upload last night.
2:50 Nottingham- Sam Gold 3/1 (2pt ew)
Sam Gold showed huge improvement from his first start to second when failing to catch the winner Fennaan by a head. That was a novice race over 7f and he was closing rapidly towards the finish and would have won in another stride to the step up to a mile is guaranteed to suit. He faces a couple of well bred John Gosden runners in this race but I would be shocked if Sam Gold wasn’t involved in the finish. Just in case one of the others is a superstar I still recommend backing him e/w in the race.
2:55 Gowran Park- Inscribe 5/1 (0.5pt ew)
I tipped Inscribe each way at 5/1 in this race overnight but following four non runner is now a lot shorter at around 6/4 although there doesn’t appear to be any Rule 4s on the price. Inscribe had a couple of runs for Sir Michael Stoute before showing improvement at Navan on his debut for Ger Lyons. He is completely unexposed and should prove a lot better than his opening mark of 69. He has been gelded since his last run and Colin Keane now takes over in the saddle. He looked a good bet at 5/1 last night but I wouldn’t recommend backing him at 6/4 now!
4:55 Nottingham- Indian Chief 13/2 (2pt ew)
Indian Chief was an unlucky loser for us a week ago when second over C&D by a short head. He travelled strongly during the race but was slightly short of room entering the final furlong before flying home and just failing to catch the winner. He runs in this race off the same mark as last time and should have a huge chance of going one better today.
